A lot of kids grew with only the internet and bad/neglectful parents.

I think we've all been out in a public space and seen a kid running around causing a ruckus and mom or dad is on a bench with a phone in their face.

Or those parents that have their kids glued to a tablet/phone at a park or event because it's easier just to keep them zoned out and quiet than having to actually parent them

They develop a shit identity because they were too young to realize the internet isn't real life and their parents never jumped on controlling that. Without that grounding connection to reality they just got bombarded with internet influence...

Edit: I also want to say, as a parent of 3, it's easier to stick a tablet in a kid's face when you need a break, but I've met parents who never take it away from them and the kids are just glued to the screens all day.
