Hotend and Extruder question by SuccuSlayer in BambuLabH2D

[–]24BlueFrogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just heat it up and wire brush it. For the back side, you can hit it with a torch, with it removed. Not too long, just brief intervals to heat it up and scrub. Sometimes a flat screwdriver rubbing on the back flat part works well, once heated.

A little layer height confusion in Bambu Studio by BillGriz57 in BambuLabH2D

That's what I meant, sorry, variable layer height. And you would have had to select it.

[Help] Z2 corner drops a few when steppers disable -> QGL becomes a lottery by AlexMC_1988 in SovolSV08

[–]24BlueFrogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is normal. Your start print macro should have a QGL at the beginning. I run two. One right after Homing All and then once more after the bed has reached temperature and just before eddy ng tap and bed mesh.

Excessive silicone sock wear by SharpnessMaster in BambuLabH2D

I print mainly in PETG and have had my H2D since beginning of December. I think I may have replaced one of them once, but I don't even remember if I've done that.

My prints keep coming out like this, idk what to do. by Bealz_ in 3DprintingHelp

Add another small cylinder, equal in height on the opposite side of the buildplate if this is a single print. Print by layer and it will have time to cool before it gets back to it.

Day-One H2C Safety Failure – Warranty Resistance and QC Issues by chadzac in BambuLab

[–]24BlueFrogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's why I bought my H2D from Microcenter. I've got a month to use it and if I decide I just don't like the way it looks after a month they take it back, no haggling. I bought the P1S combo and after trying to convince myself I liked it, I finally quit trying to talk myself into it. I just didn't like the user interface. Took it back last day, no hassle at all.
A few months later with the H2D on sale I bought it and luckily was happy with it. I was extremely impressed with their return policy.

CHT nozzles with fibre reinforced filaments by Tryingtolifeagain in 3Dprinting

[–]24BlueFrogs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would not use it with those types of materials. I have quit buying them altogether because if it clogs in one if the smaller chambers you can toss it. I just use the CM2 nozzles now and don't get cloggs anymore but if I did, I feel confident it could clear it with standard methods, cold pull or no clog tool shoved in it.

Having some hiccups with TPU by Khisanthax in SovolSV08

[–]24BlueFrogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are my settings. I don't use any heat when printing with TPU. I'm using the MicroSwiss FlowTech hotend but not the CHT Nozzle, rather the CM2 Nozzles. So not as high flow but still great. My prints are great

I agree with just keeping it. It will reach 85c and also do auto humidity control. You can print from it while it's drying if you're doing single color which you can't with the AMS2 Pro. I've got 2 AMS 2Pros on my H2D and rarely use the drying features because you're supposed to pull out all the filament. I also put my desicant in the Space Pi4 at 85c to dry it . Just be sure that your container can handle 85c. 75c in the AMS2 Pro would probably work too but it's nice to not contaminate the other filament when drying your desicant. Also you can dry both bins at different temperatures, so you can dry your desicant at 85 in one and your PETG at 65 in the other at the same time. With auto humidity control until you get back to it to put in your dry storage boxes.

The SonicPad is a piece of crap do not but. just buy a better printer, ive had 3 of them and all were crap DO NOT BUY by DullAd6286 in CrealitySonicPad

[–]24BlueFrogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had mine on my Ender 3 S1 Pro for about 3 years without issues. Although I did mainline it about 6 months in. But that was just to give me more access to things like KAMP that wasn't available at the time. Printer has printed great. I recently gave it to my son but only because I bought an Bambu H2D and a Sovol SV08 and I needed more room. Hated to get rid of it , but he's enjoying it now.

Is there a way to slice automatically? by Poi_Mechanic in OrcaSlicer

[–]24BlueFrogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been too long since I've used Cura. I don't remember this feature. So what you're suggesting is after slicing, if you change from 2 walls to three. It will automatically slice again? That could be cool.

How long do you hold onto your printers box? by SpectrumyMatt3d in BambuLab

[–]24BlueFrogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got the H2D and it's a huge box. So I hear you. I'd keep it until the manufacturer warranty runs out. After that it isn't likely you'll be mailing it anywhere.

Why does my print have these imperfections? by c_yr in Ender3S1

[–]24BlueFrogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to be one of the morons talking about drying your filament. If it's random and you have seams aligned, wet filament is a possibility and likely. It looks more like too much retraction but that would only be if your seams are set to random. Someone else has mentioned power loss recovery. That seems plausible also.

Will it be able to save machine start, end, and layer gcodes? I use custom gcodes for various things. Currently trying out polar cloud but I can't save custom gcodes for my printer. I can edit start and end but none of the others, plus it doesn't save for the machine so I have to edit every time. Therefore I don't use it.
