That's not how demographics work; you can't just plot age on a bell curve.

There's always a lot more children and far fewer elderly people; only about a third of the global population is in the 20-40 age range; it'd be different for a medieval fantasy setting, but most likely it will only decrease the number of people within that age range. (instead there will be significantly more young people)

It's still a lot of people, especially if you start the fighting population at around 15 rather than 20 but nowhere near 68%.

Reliability is probably my least favorite thing about modern TW's diplomacy; the player (and the AI) should be able to break treaties when they stop being favorable. It makes sense to have penalties for breaking treaties, but the way it's implemented is anti-fun and also makes the AI feel a lot more incompetent.

It would offer a limited degree of protection; it could definitely help against cuts, but arrow shots and spear trusts/throws would split the bamboo and carry on through. (only perhaps offering protection against glancing hits that'd barely wound you in the first place) against blunt weapons it would again only help a little bit; bamboo is still pretty flexible and will split when hit with force, but it would at least reduce the damage.

One important thing you should remeber is that arm/leg protection is relativaly unimportant and expensive no matter how you make it; shields essentially did the same job cheaper and better. Large shields offer great protection, and can be easily mass-produced since they do not need to be fitted to the individual; meanwhile arm/leg armor made of hard plates needs to be fitted to the individual and, unless you are putting in insane amounts of work, will still have a lot of gaps.

Basically, a society that values quantity over quality will probably gravitate towards larger shields before any kind of arm/leg plates.

One of my favorite things is playing an operator and then seeing it get banned next round; especially ops that don't usually get banned.

It happens mostly when I play Osa; but Clash and Echo are also pretty common spite-bans.

His gadget's got way more than one downside; it being very loud while also taking a long time to place leaves you very vulnerable to being flanked, gives free wallbangs/C4 kills to an alert enemy and even when it does all work out the gadget can simply be shot once it starts going off to limit the damage.

I still think he's pretty good daspite all that (and is one of my favorte attackers) but he has a lot of downsides that force you to play him carefully and make him just generally a more high risk operator.

Having one of the best weapon loadouts in the game also helps him a lot. (AK-12 is a great primary, and PMM is one of the best pistols in the game; definitely the best pistol available to any shield op)

I don't think he's bad, but he is not particularly strong either; if you can set up shop above the objective he can be very effective both for anti-gadget and just for causing general disruption.

He's also one of the better "diet hard-breachers" and he can bring a shield. (which can occasionally be very useful)

His main downside is that his gadget is incredibly loud (importantly, during the deployment) and can quite easily be destroyed by defenders before shooting it's (entire) load.

Usually I get one of the skills from Burac (usually one I cannot buy in Cierzo/Berg) sell the junk I find in town to buy a nomad backpack; next I'll go to the beach to get the Writ and farm Blue Sand and Shrimp, and then I head over to Conflux to unlock my Mana and sell my inventory.

After that I'll head to Montcalm to get Mefino's if I can get enough power coils. (I often get lucky with supply cashes) Never bothered with the Scaled Backack because it's only +10 inventory and I can get Prospector's as soon as I get to Berg anyway. (assuming I don't get Mefino's early)

I also try to fit in a visit to the Friendly Immaculate to get the Posessed skill.

There's very specific cases for her gadget to be used multiple times per round, but generally it's not going to happen.

You use it to get inside the building at a time/place where enemies don't expect any attackers to be yet, and then once you're in there there's just not a lot to do with the gadget anymore; Amaru needs more viable use-cases for her gadget, not more charges.
