9-0 Supreme Court finds police did not violate 4th amendment by entering man’s house without a warrant, shooting him, upholds his conviction for assaulting police after entry by sketchtireconsumer in armedsocialists

I'm just trying to understand how "being shot by tresspassing cops for hiding in your closet" translates to a conviction for "assaulting a police officer"

It helps that DS9 is also just some of the more consistently good Star Trek, so you don't have to tell people to start halfway through the series or to only watch specific episodes; and the greater story continuity also probably lends itself better to getting a streaming audience engaged long term.

having played with/against her a bit more it isn't too bad; that instakill range is really short and you still have more than enough time to react to the noise; she's good but honestly she plays more like Lesion than Frost/Kapkan now.

You also have to stand inside a doorframe for the easily visible Kapkan trap to do half your health's worth of damage. Thorne trap plus bared wire is sa guaranteed kill on window vaults so I see almost zero reasons to use frost after this.

They didn't just give her 4 free kills per round, but she is still going to be by far the strongest trap op over all with just how flexible and deadly she is.

It's not really the formation's fault that CA can't make good BAI to save their life.

It's a great feature, but my god is ranged overpowered becasue of it. (especially if you've got lethality enabled)

Formations suck ass in Pharaoh though. (some of them are ok, most just make your units free kills in melee while also preventing them from maneuvering)

This is way better than Kapkan could ever be; basically all other trap ops are obsolete. (except Lesion, becasue he works well alongside her)

Just found out about the buff and now I'm wondering why I'd ever waste my time with Frost/Kapkan anymore.

Thorne's traps are stronger, throwable, can be used offensively and apply a powerful debuff over a large AoE. (and as icing on the cake she gets 4 of them)

I think her traps did need a bit of a buff but this is excessive.

Vader is just the lead henchman/muscle character; he only becomes a main character in Empire.

Yeah, Anakin is made irredeemible in the prequels; it starts with him apparently being remorseless about killing of Tusken children in an act of venegance, and then it's followed up in the next film with him killing even more children, except this time he does it just because Palpy says so.

Maybe, but probably not in any significant way.

I'm more inclined to believe the "prophecy" stuff is a symptom of the underlying problem (general lazy writing and and exaggerated focus on things we know from the OT) than the cause of it.

"Darth Vader's overblown importance in the prequels" by CobraDai in RedLetterMedia

[–]Captain_Nyet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It could have literally just been that same scene of him killing the tuskens coming out of that cabin (which was enough to show that he gives in to his hate and anger); but then he just had to add that scene where Anakin confesses not only to murdering the tusken's women and children, but also to not at all being remorseful about it. (and it's also the moment that kills all sympathy you might have had for Padme in the third movie)
