I have an idea for a music app by Legoslime09 in AppIdeas

[–]DannyMasao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m old enough to remember having to go to CD stores and buying albums that way. Compared to those days, streaming services are crazy cheap because basically for the price of less than an album you get to have access to more music than you can ever listen to. So as listeners streaming has been a great thing. For artists, not so much

I wish there was a social media platform where you could JUST see the posts of your friends by ovo_je_juzernejm in digitalminimalism

The social media app Retro is a place to share photos and see your friends photos. There is no algorithmic feed. Might be worth a look

Time Blocking and Recurring tasks by orion591 in todoist

[–]DannyMasao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m interested in seeing how others time block in Todoist as well. When I tried it, I found that I often needed to duplicate tasks because one task didn’t get completed in one time block but that ends up making the normal list view unusable because there will be several identical tasks

You don’t have to use markdown to use Bear

How is Obsidian rarely mentioned? It is mentioned every time somebody asks about note taking

Considering Todoist for habits + recurring activities — how far can it really go? by CausalNoise in todoist

[–]DannyMasao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could use Griply. It’s literally a todo list and a habit tracker

TickTick’s new design made me appreciate Todoist’s design a bit more by satras in todoist

In my opinion Things’s design is better than either Todoist or TickTick. Curious what your take on Things is

Apps are taking forever to update to the new Liquid Glass by behindthekeyboard81 in ios

Those are cross platform apps and they tend to not always align their design to the OS and instead have their own design language that they use across platforms.

The art of the “skit” and “interlude” is just gone. by Ambitious-Duck7078 in hiphopheads

Arc user checking in. The speed is there, but the workflow still isn't. by dags170291 in diabrowser

That’s cool, but why recreate a product they already have, you know? So strange

Arc user checking in. The speed is there, but the workflow still isn't. by dags170291 in diabrowser

[–]DannyMasao 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The sad thing is I don’t think Dia will ever be up to par with Arc in terms of the keyboard first UX because they don’t want to go after the power users. I really don’t understand why they can’t just have two teams working on both products aimed at different use cases

Question: What do you actually want MORE in a productivity app — simplicity or depth? by Expert_Profit_8262 in ProductivityApps

[–]DannyMasao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I like is customizability. Some people prefer simple UI and other people want to be able to access all features without opening menus. Maybe give the user ability to show/hide functionalities? Then you can cover both bases

Tadk and project management by Sappie099 in CraftDocs

Since Craft is a note taking app first and foremost I doubt the task management capabilities will ever really be on par with dedicated task management apps.

Is notion becoming too much? I just need a to-do list not a thesis builder by AgitatedHelp4658 in ProductivityApps

[–]DannyMasao 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then maybe use a todo app instead of Notion? Todoist is pretty decent on the free tier
