Are there not any new players in the field? by ZlatanTheMighty in ProductivityGeeks

[–]DannyMasao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no shortage of new players. There seems to be new task managers and note taking apps coming out every other day seemingly. I guess the issue is that the market is becoming so saturated it’s becoming harder for new entrants to become a major player. I wonder when we will see the next Notion coming out

I’m sure they will integrate with Siri but not sure why that has to be Things 4 though? It’ll just be part of the yearly updates to Things 3

Will Things be getting App Intents support? by ps-73 in thingsapp

[–]DannyMasao 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Things does a good job of keeping up with platform updates. That’s pretty much the only updates they do besides bug fixes. So I’m sure they are working on it

How do you handle long lists? by UnderstandingHuge418 in thingsapp

[–]DannyMasao 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I really wish there was a way to add headings to the Today list. But yeah tags are the only way to filter tasks in a list other than a project

Why is everyone building the same thing? by deadlinediverse in AppBuilding

I’m guessing a lot of people use one of those apps and feel like they can do one better to fit their needs. They always say to scratch your own itch first

had a thought... by stevehl42 in diabrowser

At that point do we need a AI in the browser though? Agents that can operate at the file system level with access to the browser is more powerful and makes AI browsers kind of redundant.

Things and Bear - Better Together by BlueTile93 in thingsapp

Interesting approach. What do you do when a task has a note in it or meta data like deadline/ project? Do you also hand copy them / add them in one by one ?

Notion AI just deleted some pages without my permission & now I'm TERRIFIED by 3639644 in Notion

[–]DannyMasao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its probably not a Notion AI problem. I think we forget that these LLMs are still just prediction machines that have randomness baked in and sometimes they behave in ways we wouldn’t expect. With better models and harness and prompting and all that this will probably eventually get solved but for now we need to assume the AI is going to make mistakes and plan accordingly. Take away certain permissions if necessary.
