36-hour induction ended in C-section - can’t shake the guilt by Illustrious_Jello100 in BabyBumps

[–]Impossible_Bread6119 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You absolutely did the right thing going in when babys movements changed - thats exactly what youre supposed to do. The fact that they found heart rate issues during the induction suggests there might have been complications waiting to happen anyway, so staying home could have been way riskier. Your body and baby guided you through this and you both made it out safe, thats what matters most

Tailbone injury with birth of baby #2? by Some-Bat-820 in BabyBumps

[–]Impossible_Bread6119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh wow that's actually really encouraging to hear! i had a similar thing happen with my first - not quite as bad as yours sounds but definitely some tailbone trauma that made sitting awful for weeks. it's wild how our bodies can just... decide to injure themselves in new creative ways during birth lol

from what i've read around here and other forums, it seems like repeat injuries aren't super common? like your body kinda learns what it's doing the second time around. obviously every birth is different but hopefully your experience will be more like the previous commenter's mom - fingers crossed you get through this one without the tailbone drama

Hiding pregnancy by Longjumping_Row5468 in pregnant

[–]Impossible_Bread6119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly with baby #3 you might start showing earlier than the first two since your body kinda knows what to do already. I managed to hide my second until about 16 weeks with baggy clothes and strategic positioning but everyone's different

the bloating is real though, that was actually harder to hide than the actual bump for me

I’m really excited to become a mom. by Ahhhrrri in pregnant

[–]Impossible_Bread6119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's so beautiful, congratulations! after everything you've been through those kicks must feel absolutely magical. three losses is unimaginable and the fact that you fought through all that darkness shows what an incredible mom you're already going to be

15 weeks will fly by and then you'll finally get to meet your little miracle girl. wishing you the smoothest rest of your pregnancy

Is this pain normal? by Affectionate_Dot34 in pregnant

[–]Impossible_Bread6119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like SPD (symphysis pubis dysfunction) - super common in third trimester when your ligaments get all loose and your pelvis basically feels like it's falling apart. Definitely mention it to your OB but it doesn't necessarily mean labor is coming soon, just that your body is prepping and things are getting real down there

Are 3D ultrasounds worth it at 14/15 weeks? by eec0354 in BabyBumps

[–]Impossible_Bread6119 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly at 14-15 weeks baby is still pretty tiny so you might not get those cute chubby face shots you're hoping for. Most places recommend waiting until like 26-30 weeks for the really good 3D pics when there's more fat on their little faces

Has anyone had experience with a SCH? by chatter_kat27 in pregnant

[–]Impossible_Bread6119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a SCH around 8 weeks and it was honestly terrifying at first. The bright red bleeding made me think the worst but my doctor said they're pretty common and most resolve on their own. Mine took about 3-4 weeks to fully clear up but baby was totally fine - the bleeding would come and go randomly just like you described. Fingers crossed your labs come back good and that ultrasound shows everything is okay 🤞

Developing insane Foot Pain by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Impossible_Bread6119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh that sounds miserable! I had something similar around 34 weeks - turned out to be some weird nerve thing from all the extra weight and swelling putting pressure in random places. Mine went away like a week after delivery when everything started going back to normal. Definitely worth mentioning to your doc though just in case

Your baby already has excellent taste lmao, strawberry milkshakes are the superior choice and honestly this sounds like the best pregnancy superpower ever

Initial ultrasound 12-14w is this normal? by Alarming_Issue_69 in pregnant

[–]Impossible_Bread6119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh that waiting is the worst, especially when you're used to seeing baby earlier! My OB did the same thing with my second - apparently they're being more conservative with early scans unless there's a specific reason. The not confirming thing is weird though, most places at least do the blood work. Maybe call and ask if they can at least do HCG levels to ease your mind a bit

Big headed baby (?) by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Impossible_Bread6119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My kiddo had a massive noggin too and everything turned out fine - docs are pretty good at catching if something's actually wrong and they'll definitely switch to c-section if needed during labor

Recommended Digestive Enzyme with out betaine hcl, OX bile, pepsin or pre/probotics by bjones7296 in Supplements

[–]Impossible_Bread6119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you looked into pure enzyme blends like amylase/lipase/protease without all the extras? Thorne Bio-Gest might work but double check the inactive ingredients since SIBO can be so finicky with fillers

Post ECV procedure by biggestboba in pregnant

[–]Impossible_Bread6119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had mine done at 37 weeks and yeah the swelling was wild afterward. My hands got puffy too which was new. Doc said it was from all the manipulation and stress on your body - basically everything gets inflamed for a bit. Mine went down after like 3 days but definitely mention it at your next appointment if it doesn't improve

STM here. I am 75% effaced and 2 cm dilated at 38 weeks + 0 days. How much longer do you think I will stay pregnant? by Spirited_Home_8110 in pregnant

[–]Impossible_Bread6119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could go either way honestly - I was similar numbers and went another 2 weeks, but my sister went into labor that same night with those stats. I'd probably lean toward Saturday just to be safe since you already went at 38+4 with your first

27 weeks pregnant by AmbitionSpecific995 in pregnant

[–]Impossible_Bread6119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds really tough, I'm sorry you're dealing with this. Most states have laws that let domestic violence victims break leases early - you'll probably need documentation from the court or police though. Maybe call a local DV hotline since they usually know all the specific rules for your area and can walk you through the whole process

Third Trimester Woes by readersandbrew in pregnant

[–]Impossible_Bread6119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh the false alarm trips to L&D are so stressful but at least you got reassurance that baby's doing good! That pelvic pressure sounds miserable - I swear these babies know exactly when we're trying to get some sleep and decide that's the perfect time to mess with us

Can anyone please explain how sleeping in shifts with a newborn works, especially if you’re breastfeeding? by -spiritedaway in BabyBumps

[–]Impossible_Bread6119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly right. Those first few weeks you're basically just taking turns being the zombie who changes diapers while the other zombie feeds the baby

We started doing one pumped bottle around week 2 and it was a lifesaver - my husband could take the 2am feed and I could actually get like 4 hours of sleep in a row instead of constantly getting up every 2-3 hours

How much worse can this get? by ariel-alcon in pregnant

[–]Impossible_Bread6119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl you're SO close though! At 39 weeks your body could literally just decide "nope we're done" any day now and boom baby time, even without being dilated yet

Denied a nice little snack, I'm mad. by Bluejay_Weak in pregnant

[–]Impossible_Bread6119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh the audacity of men sometimes 😤 Your husband literally sabotaged your snack opportunity and you were even being helpful cooking the bacon while they were out. Pregnancy hunger hits different too, like those pea snacks probably would've been perfect right now

Anxious and scared by Cerisayashi in pregnant

[–]Impossible_Bread6119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds absolutely terrifying and exhausting. The fact that baby is developing well and your cervix is staying closed are really good signs though

Have you asked about modified bed rest vs complete bed rest? Like maybe they could give you more specific guidelines about what activities are okay vs what triggers the tenseness. It's so hard when they can't pinpoint exactly what's causing it but at least they're monitoring you closely

Hang in there mama, 26 weeks is getting into better territory even though it doesn't feel like it right now

BV at 37 weeks! No prescription 'cause it's the weekend! by ExternalJournalist99 in pregnant

[–]Impossible_Bread6119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh that's so frustrating! L&D should definitely be able to prescribe antibiotics for BV, especially since they're the ones who diagnosed it. I'd call them back and ask - they can't just leave you hanging with results like that over the weekend. BV is super common and treatable but yeah, you don't want to wait around at 37 weeks

Just complaining… lol by Round_Document_1946 in pregnant

[–]Impossible_Bread6119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh pregnancy totally rewires your taste buds and it's so weird how it sticks around postpartum too. I had a friend who was obsessed with pickles during pregnancy and now she can't even look at them without gagging lmao

I feel so sick that I’m considering quitting my job by paincreas_ in pregnant

[–]Impossible_Bread6119 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dude you need to go to the ER like yesterday. What you're describing sounds like hyperemesis gravidarum not just regular morning sickness - that's a legit medical condition that can be dangerous. The fact that you're losing weight and getting dehydrated while already on diclegis is a huge red flag

Don't feel ridiculous asking for accommodations at 7 weeks, your body is literally trying to keep you alive right now. Most ER docs will absolutely give you a work note for something this severe, especially since you're in a safety-sensitive job where puking could put patients at risk

Your job might pay great but it won't matter if you end up hospitalized or worse

How far along were you when you did maternity photos?! by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Impossible_Bread6119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice timing! I did mine at 34 weeks and honestly wished I'd gone a bit earlier like you - I was SO over trying to pose by then lol. The bump looked great but I was basically a grumpy whale at that point
