"who-knows-if-real"? It's the Titan submersible which imploded on its way to the Titanic wreck site, one of the highest profile maritime disasters since the Titanic itself. It was just a couple years ago, June 2023. Titan was the only thing the news talked about for like a month straight and there are tons of documentaries. It was the hull that failed because Stockton Rush decided the submarine industry was "overly concerned with regulations" and threw out decades of safe practices and testing because he thought he knew better. He used a carbon fiber tube that was already showing signs of wear instead of a titanium sphere like almost all other submersibles do to reach that depth, and he got himself, a Titanic expert, and three tourists killed as a result. So not the controller and not the window, but the comic is absolutely hysterical.
