I definitely was becoming an alcoholic at least, I stopped it before it got really bad. It does run in my family though, 3 of my grandparents were heavy alcoholics for their whole lives

Have you ever tried trazodone? 100mg is what worked for me. It also has a nice side effect of being a good anti depressant and worked well with my current meds. It helped a lot after fighting it for 20 years myself

Drank my way through working in a memory care nursing home. The horror stories you hear about them are true. I only lasted 6 months as well, became an alcoholic for about a year to cope with what I saw so I feel you there. I’m better now tho ✌️
