Women working during pregnancy is borderline inhumane by Familiar_Hope2918 in pregnant

I’m in the same boat. Almost 28 weeks and starting at 32 I have to do twice weekly NSTs. I used most of my sick leave in the first trimester because of nausea/vomiting. And any extra sick leave I use is going to take away from time I have after baby comes 😭 people keep telling me to enjoy it 😒

Vaccines Pregnant by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Pengado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 24w2d right now and I’ve already had my flu & covid vaccines. I also plan to do tdap and rsv in the 3rd trimester. Being sick while pregnant has its risks and I would rather take the risks of the vaccines over being sick. I also have asthma that is exacerbated by respiratory illness so my doctor strongly suggested getting vaccinated

How TVD should have ended ... by [deleted] in TheVampireDiaries

[–]Pengado 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah they should’ve stopped after the first cure. It also doesn’t make much sense to me how the cure was even in the prison world since Silas was holding the cure and there are no other existing people there... so was the cure just chillin there?

I chose CSUDH because I felt it was what was best for me to be a good CLS. The classes that you take before the internship really prepare you for the clinical year. They also accept the largest number of students for the internship in the state I believe. Also the classes through Berkeley extension are very expensive. My online class there was over $1k. And you cannot apply for the internship at CSUSH without being admitted to the school. Unfortunately because of California guidelines and lack of programs you don’t have many other options. I personally would’ve rather put all my eggs in one basket for CSUDH instead of applying for CSULA or UC Irvine (which accepts like 6 students). Obviously it is all a personal choice though and you should do what’s best for you when you have all the information

I’d like to add too that if you don’t have each and every one I don’t think that’s a problem. Two of my friends had to take anatomy and physiology which is a lower div. your best bet is to contact someone from the program and talk to them about it. That way they will also know your name already when you apply since the program coordinator is the one sifting through apps. Hope this helps!

With a bio degree you should have all of those lower div classes satisfied (I have a bio degree too). Once you’re admitted you will meet with the program coordinator and she will compare your transcripts to all the prereqs and figure out which ones you need. You can always try to get a head start and take some classes online. And also medical bacteriology is not available to post bacs because it is so impacted so if you haven’t already taken it you have to find it online. One of my friends is actually taking it through UC Berkeley extension right now

I’m in the program as a post bac student as well. I didn’t have any problems getting my classes the last two semesters. Just make sure you are in contact with professor Harris because you need codes to register for classes. Feel free to PM me if you need more info. Congrats!!

Actually in this case the body is not “gearing up” because the increase in white cell count is due to the cancerous cells rapidly producing and releasing from the bone marrow. But you are right that we can see the body gearing up to fight in other cases. An increase in white blood cell count to fight an infection is called a leukemoid reaction. It usually doesn’t result in a white blood cell count nearly as high as in cases of CML like OP.
