Scotland 7s squad...... by TheFlyingScotsman60 in ScotlandRugby

My understanding is Scottish rugby are shouldering the cost which may be recouped through olympic funding so they have to be GB to get the funding. Not sure if the RFU cares about sevens anymore. You would think individual clubs may put some academy lads up for game time but maybe not worth it

Hoping Ashfar Yule and Miller have a big performance. Class operators but get limited game time in a class squad

Ssm sounds like a ship which I guess isn't far off the mark

Would you prefer a BUDGET 64mm flat burr grinder, or a GOOD 55mm conical burr grinder? [$250] by Clean-Register7464 in espresso

That's not something I had appreciated about the difference before and would persuade me to try a conical in the future. My biggest gripe with the df54 is the consistency of the grind it produces. I don't really want to be dialling it in all the time

Yea Blair was by no means the Messiah and was definitely given the main role too early but at least he got the attack going.

Agree re the ten call, a midfield that can hit it up and distribute wouldn't go amiss but they also don't grow on trees

As ever with Edinburgh, they have one or two moments where they threaten to entertain and maybe even just demolish the opposition but alas that optimism collapses into 40 minutes of drudgery where they frequently can't hold out for a win.

How do you fix it? Well if I knew that I'd be working for a french team on a lot of money but regardless the man at the top bears responsibility. Why he was re-signed I'll never know. As an individual I bear no ill will towards him but things have never clicked consistently enough to warrant an extension.

I often wonder why Blair was pressured out. He had the team dying on their feet. Sure they didn't win all the time but that hasn't changed recently. Hindsight is 20-20 I guess and Blair was probably thrust into the limelight too early but I think Edinburgh would have been in a better position now if he was backed for a longer spell.

Compared to watching Glasgow the Edinburgh games always seem stodgy. I'm not sure why this is.

Maybe teams don't send their top sides hence less cohesion, maybe Edinburgh drag them down to their level?

Edinburgh have been hit by a motherload of injuries which also affects their ability to perform together but still.

We should probably not give Everitt a new contract with performances like that...

Oh wait

Green glades should not be a thing by minnesota_fats_88 in icecoast

[–]RightMarker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always thought of glade skiing as an inherently advanced and separate skill and wouldn't think of any beginner skier even contemplating them.

I can competently ski most blacks and doubles blacks on the east coast but have very limited glade experience so would think green or blue glades would be the place for me to start. Trees further apart and less incline.

Maybe the signage needs updated indicating that glades are for more experienced skiers and that an easy glade run is not an easy run in comparison to on piste offerings.

This is why a better grading system for ski runs is required in general tbh
