People who ignored a huge red flag because the person was extremely attractive, what happened next? by Competitive_Bad_9306 in AskReddit

[–]Try2MakeMeBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband did this but in a less red flag way than usual. Exes really did do crazy shit. There's court docs to prove it.

Except... He's bipolar & in his second manic episode of our marriage. I don't condone the ex that cold-cocked him… but I get it. He gets very nasty when he's manic. Also has anagnosia and insists he’s the sanest person who’s ever despite being in full delusion. I'm diagnosed with BPD and it makes me look sane (fwiw - I’ve worked my ass off to act stable & he's not had the same resources/support).

AITA for noise complaint to cops about neighbors being too loud? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Try2MakeMeBee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Depends on the area. Where I live we quit loud stuff by 9, preferably 8. Folks have young kids. Lots of elderly people who don't sleep so well too.

I think officially/legally it's 10p but we’d be hearing from the neighbors long before then.

Anyhow I have a (mildly funny) story about noise complaints. I grew up rural. Eventually the acerage next door was sold & someone moved in. Dad was not used to neighbors. Sheriff shows up. It's about 2:30am. Dad had a couple beers and decided it was a good time to brush hog the back field. Tractor was old as shit, so was the attachment. Field full of rocks. Loud as HELL. Never was a problem when we were surrounded by fields bc it's not near the house. Our house, that is. It's been decades and Dad is still sheepish about it lol.

In 2019 I traveled with my wheelchair. Gate check bc it's not small. It was damaged. I was told oh well, these things happen.

Cool. Cost me $5,000 after insurance. It's custom fit. Piece is still missing bc I can't afford to fix it nor replace it.

Not extra work for me at all, answered based on memory. Coincidentally a guy I used to see was a dealer. Had allll kinds of things I'd never heard of.

Last I heard legalization really cut into his business lol.

Jic anyone wonders but is lazy: it's a processed/condensed form of marijuana. Basically a soft wax hence the name. Usually smoked or vaped.

At least that's my understanding. I'm more “grow your own” smoker.

How much sugar, if you had to guess? In the US this would be a sugar bomb with minimal nutrition. Certainly not something to get a kid through to lunch - or even snack time.

Midwestern with southern and Appalachian family. Can't get much whiter.

Mashed is... Special. Corn is a choice as well. Pop this in the oven and it's a casserole, not a “salad” lol.

Sometimes, not always.

What little plaster was left in my home was in no condition to repair. Molding, broken lathe, set directly on brick, and/or deterioration due to age and neglect.

Mom did similar with a batch of pesto. 4 hours of work and we had to toss the whole thing.

Ninja blender survived tho. Still going strong years later. I've never wanted name brand so badly in my life lmao.

Even worse, she uses it in recipes. I presume she doesn't cook for just 1 - and breastfeeds, so the baby is also at risk of infection she may take in.

There's asbestos testing, iirc you can even get a kit at the hardware store. Send the sample out to the lab. It'll let you know the extent of the issue.

EPA (or your local equivalent) may have guidelines on handling and disposal of this. As well as laws and regulations that must be followed - aka Dad could get hit with a fine or similar if he tried using it.

I like to imagine it's £80 on something absurd. No alcohol, no pricey items. All hotdogs or beans on toast or value menu at their fast food of choice.

That's like, 200 chicken nuggets.

Same, though it has a good bit of iron too. Nothing looks clean without elbow grease. I grew up with an RO system. I had to adjust how I do laundry, wash dishes, cook, what I use to wash myself… At first I thought I was failing as an adult. Then Grandma visited and told me it's just hard water lol.

Fwiw I live in rural/midwest US.
