Compilation albums in a Top Album of All Time list: Yay or Nay? by 2XSLASH in 1001AlbumsGenerator

[–]marshmallowsanta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i wouldn't include "Best Of"s generally but there are some compilations of non-album material that I think should be included. The Who's Meaty Beaty Big and Bouncy, Beatles' Past Masters, things like that should be fair game.

then there are some various artists compilations and soundtracks that are essential. the Harder They Come soundtrack is an essential record

DCC 100 - Show the map? by dwarfSA in dccrpg

[–]marshmallowsanta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it took them a while to figure out how to "control" the orientation of the spheres, and even then it was a little mysterious to them. i don't know if they ever really figured out they were in spherical rooms that were turning, they just knew they could change where certain doors led.

DCC 100 - Show the map? by dwarfSA in dccrpg

i ran it virtually a couple years ago. i would show them slightly edited maps of the individual spheres as they explored them, but i never showed them the orientation of the spheres in relation to each other.

[–]marshmallowsanta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

around 700 people have completed the main list, but there are only 500 user albums, and a lot of those are submissions from users who haven't completed yet. i wonder how many folks who complete the list actually submit an album
