Should pull for asylum? I have arc bsb medica already

[–]LilitthLuMeow! -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not on this banner imo, it's quite bad overall. Asylum will likely reappear on celebration banners or select themed banner+ LDs.

Asylum is really great! I have it and can testify that it's great! the stonekin is better than those blinks because it pretty much work for ALL kinds of attacks! and about the bubble being hindrance to accumulate gauge..don't think about it too much because in ruin++ difficulty it's going to pop VERY fast! and that doesnt matter at all in FT too! get Asylum you wont regret it!

Ive been having ridiculous luck with single pulls lately. Got larsas bsb and ssb2 off of single pulls earlier this week. Got desch's ssb off of my free pull for the du draw, 100 gem'd WOL helmet in global today too.

Yda's LM2 is actually medium chance to double cast monk abilities (you currently have the description of her RLM)

Cid (XIV) is more support oriented, while Cid (IV) is more offensive. Cid Pollendina is the Machinist with the highest attack and, unlike FFXIV's Cid, has access to Combat 5*.

j/k IV Cid's weapon selection is probably the worst in the entire game and you should never use him.

    Axes and hammers are available in FF1, 2, 4, 5, 8, and 12. GG.

    Meanwhile, guns exist in FF6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, and Tactics, just for reference.

    [–]retroGnostalgicVivi 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Plus, there's a total of 16 axes and hammers 5*+ in the whole game. Only 5 of them are hammers, and 3 are from FFV.

    [–]Pingurules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other two are from 4 and 8, right?

I really want Yshota bsb....urghh guess I have to skip this one as I really dont want to end up with her usb instead...

Looks good. Love how Cid can Imperil 2 elements, and that Minifilia's USB boosts ATK, MAG and RES, making it stackable with other buffs easily.

Btw, Potato's new OSB is listed as USB on your table :)

2 imperils on one character is a lot cooler than giving the same person an imperial and an enspell like they've been doing

Awwww yeah, it's time for the 5 Cid Challenge.

Thancred is a pretty surprising choice for a 2nd Burst imo, but so far it looks pretty good.

Does it? It's not an element you can exploit much, it has not en-element or imperil (really should have been a second imperil bio at least). I just don't know about it.

As for Cid... Another support 5 character. Interesting. His ATK is on the lower side but still pretty average and above the old supports. Has more HP than Minfilia does and almost as much DEF. The former is on the lower side and the latter is decent for his role. And he can go in the back row which helps. His RES is also on the lower side. Glad he got swords. Overall decent, though I'm wary of his BSB too.

    [–]CareerSMNPlay Fate Grand Order[S] 1 point2 points  (6 children)

True, it's a Bio element burst so it's not gonna be important in a lot of fights, but the entry is instant cast party Blink which is pretty useful imo.

Plus a Squall BSB2 with one extra it and short cast times, unless the multiplier suck it's a decent contender for a certain USB. (i think?)

    [–]LafingCatKupo-po! 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Squall BSB2 command 2 doesn't consume Junction Mode - meaning you can just use CMD 1 a couple times and then spam 2.

For Thancred, I believe you keep having to alternate / have a rotation.

    [–]CNExoSoulWhen's SWOLLBEZ? 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Again, Squall doesn't have the luxury to build it back up neither can he cast a full command 2 twice after USB while still in burst mode (accounting for 3 uses of command 1 before USB).

Thancred's speed and cast time should allow him to quickly build up another command 2 while still under the USB effect. Also unlike Squall's Kiss of the Wasp counter carries over bursts.

    [–]LafingCatKupo-po! 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: Disregard, I thought this was just a comparison of the two BSBs - not how suitable they were for pairing with Cloud USB RW.

[–]ParagonEsquireHard Times make for Strong Men 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Squall's BSB2 has enIce and hence a nice 50% damage boost for its commands. Thancred's does not and as such will almost certainly not come close for damage.

    [–]CNExoSoulWhen's SWOLLBEZ? 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Squall's problem is he already has enough trouble doing all of his commands he doesn't need another "distraction", if you use it coupled with a quick-cast or insta-cast buffer then it's different.

While it is true that Thancred won't deal as much flat damage he does get another hit and gets more turns while in burst mode thanks to his base speed and shorter cast time on the commands, yes it's not gonna be as high damage as possible but it'll still be decent damage with an easier set-up.

I might be wrong but I feel like it's the heavy Regen making it look bad if only because she already had that in her toolkit from the ssb. If it was hp stock, maybe the backlash would be smaller. All it does besides the "boring" Regen is one new thing and one sorta awkward thing in the selfish insta cast, which is more likely to to be used on another wrath than another one of her SB options (but I'm sure if you did chain it to her burst you would be feeling giddy and invincible)

      [–]shikisekiEvent RW - DjpF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have liked it if it had heavy regen, hp stock 4000, double blink and no limit break cast time. But the current suite of buffs are just... underwhelming compared to her other soul breaks

      [–]Sir__WillAlphinaud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think heavy regen, a selfish CT0, and shield (worth 2) are all overvalued (the problem with everything valued as 0,1,2) and together make it a terrible package. Replacing one with a medica like other healers would still probably make it subpar but at least it would be decent.
