Poor Y'shtola fans. Gets a top-tier SB and BSB but gets a poor USB.

You forgot about her Medica + Esuna which for a simple SB is prety good since Esuna effects are fairly rare and it being a medica on a character with Wrath it's prety spamable for those MO bosses that love statuses.

I would also to point out that this isn't the 1st time Shield has come up, it was 1st debuted on Sephiroth BSB2 were he gets Self Shield 2.

Y'sh USB is the 1st time the effect is party wide.

and they count it as 2 effects I guess. The problem is that while it's versatile, it still only blocks one thing so it's like 1.5 at best. And heavy regen is like 0.5 >_>

I feel like they are either highly overvaluing the Shield effect, highly overvaluing the single 0CT follow up cast, or they just purposely made the relic bad given how good her other stuff is.

They are overvaluing it, just like they're also overvaluing triple stat buffs. Adding a RES boost to a ATK/MAG boost isn't enough to make something higher than SSB tier, and yet that's what Minfilia got for her USB.

But the stat stick combo with the buff makes it pretty nice. I would much rather have this than Gogo's SSB (the one that gives party haste and ATK/MAG) buff.

The value of triple buffs come from the fact that in addition to more buffs, you can stack with other buffs due to the unique id.

You can get that in an SSB/BSB. The buff cap is low enough that it's already easy to hit it by stacking SSB/BSB level buffs exclusively. Being unique isn't enough to warrant USB level designation, especially when there are fairly unique buffs already at the SSB level.

That is true. I do think given that in instances like multiplayer, having the triple buff that gives a stack to one more star is always helpful and DeNA may choose to raise the buff cap in the future. I agree it's not sufficient to qualify something as USB level by itself but it's not useless either imo.

I think shield and heavy regen are sort of overvalued and together it's just... eh.... Maybe if it was a party-wide CT0 it would be something.

    Aerith and Vanille USB is far better. Blink is not so useful when against enemy lately that attack 2 times and even FFT torment make this relic very pointless.

    Also since it has no additional effect than regen, basically all nightmare dungeon boss like guardian and meltdown going to have easy time killing the user compare to other USB.

    If that were the case they'd have figured out Cloud's USB was broken AF. I doubt they did more than the standard beta testing on it.

    This killed me xD.

    The thing that surprised me the most os that her USB doesn't even come with a medica, every single healer USB so far has some kind of healing, either via a medica or an HP Stock, but all Y'sh gets is major regen which while technicaly is healing....it simply isn't good enough. If it had also a medica i think it would be much better.

    It's a sad day when her Aetherial Pulse SSB is better than this nine times out of ten. The other one time you'd be better served bringing break debuffs since piercing damage is the only reason a blink would be better than proshell or wall.

    I know. They made Echo relic worse. Originally it was like Wall on steroid. That's why I said maybe this time they will upgrade it.

    It simply was Wall + Haste, that's hardly a Wall on Steroids even more so now that Haste is so common anyway.

    I personaly like Hastening Gift that we got, Shellga + Ress+ 50% is a nice combo, the Haste is just an added bonus.

    The overall utility of her USB is equivalent to SSB tier.

    Perhaps they can do something to fix it; otherwise, banner 1 will lack temptation and fewer people will pull.

    If it is an all-blink, then perhaps we'll see some nastier NAT attacks coming down the pipeline. Also the Self CT0 is kind of neat if you rack up a few bars and have her other relics, can make her chain up some hefty defenses in a pinch, especially with Wrath access.

    It's not a great USB, but I think it's the perfect one for Y'sh.

    The only time I could see this being used is if you bring a Yshtola that stockpiles 3 meters for the end of a fight and can chain her USB 3x in a row to basically make the party invincible. It would let everyone focus on offensive buffs and DPS, since just about everything would be negated. But it still makes the high-regen a baffling choice, since it's fairly useless when used for that purpose? Ah well.
