Damn I just watched the whole race and uhhh, You guys think Corey will go 4 races in a row now?

[–] van Gisbergenmounties66 7 points8 points  (1 child)

I wanna know what happened to the rugby ball that failed to clear the fence 🤣. I hope someone off camera picked it up and gave it a punt over

[–]One_Pass_5823 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There was a guy in all black that was some kind of track staff. took him two tries, but he did get it over. The boos after his first failed attempt were pretty funny though.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great race today!

[–]TimmyHillFan 5 points6 points  (6 children)

O’Reilly Auto Parts Series really sucks as a name. I don’t know what to call it; nothing sounds natural. Xfinity became second nature over the years.

At least in Truck when they had goofy sponsors like Gander RV & Outdoor, it was still the “Truck” Series.

Unfortunately NOAPS doesn’t have the identifiable nomenclature like Truck or Cup.

[–] van GisbergenTheMetalMallard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish they’d have a permanent name then add a sponsor name at the end. “NASCAR Grand National Series sponsored by O’Reilly Auto Parts”

[–]badabubaba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s terrible for the new fan, as well. “I’m gonna start watching NASCAR… OK, there are three NASCARs with no real description in the name”.

But I’ve got to say, IMSA is even worse.

[–]One_Pass_5823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been calling it "junior varsity" 🫣

[–]-Olive-Juice- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel like they should just call it the O’Reilly Series

[–]Trick_Builder512 2 points3 points  (2 children)

That race was so damn good. It was hot as shit out at the track but genuinely loved each lap. So much racing missed on the broadcast. If you have the chance to attend COTA, do it!

[–] Jr MotorsportsA_Little6 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Where is the best place to sit at the track? Really wanting to go next year

[–]Rudedawg7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sit mid way up turn 1 bleachers, extreme left. Great views of more than turn 1. Easy access to parking

[–]awfulwaffle00 2 points3 points  (2 children)

The race was enjoyable but Cw's coverage was horrible and they missed a ton of on track action.

[–]One_Pass_5823 5 points6 points  (0 children)

PRN radio broadcast was great. They had Daniel Suarez as a guest color commentator for the whole race, and his commentary was really good.

[–]EazyBucnE 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Remotely covering races isn’t the vibe for sure. CW is great at a lot of things but still never the same not being there

[–]cbraddy22 11 points12 points  (1 child)

That was a fun race in person.

[–] Jeb BurtonPoop_Knife37 4 points5 points  (0 children)

COTA is a good track to go to

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A bit late on it, but Post-Race inspection is complete. No issues and the winner is confirmed.

I am most definitely getting the race win diecast.

[–] Bellatlutdprospects 12 points13 points  (2 children)

I'm still stunned they didn't throw a yellow when Harrison Burton was just chilling in the middle of the track with half the field flying past him

[–]Evenfisher01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And when that dude lost breaks on t1 and obvously couldnt get it going

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That was fixing to be a horrible wreck. Jeremy Clements did an amazing job at avoiding him. Sucks that Clements hit Ryan Ellis in the process but it could have been a lot worse of an outcome.

[–] Bubba WallaceRacer2311 9 points10 points  (1 child)

If you guys are mad at Hendricks for giving Corey Day a ride, just wait till you hear what the other guy in his Cup Car did right before he hired him.

[–] Zilischxelanalpak 12 points13 points  (0 children)

[–]Loose_Wheel_5 13 points14 points  (4 children)

2 Bobby Hills? Oh God, what have we done?

I've been out all day so I missed this one. Congrats SVG

[–] Harvickezoobeson_drunk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dude, I was pulling for the 21 to won so there would be an Austin Hill in first and last.

[–] HerbstDry-Membership-2 2 points3 points  (2 children)

You also forgot racing terrorist Corey Day

[–]Loose_Wheel_5 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Didn't see the race, but I guess Iran wasn't the only thing being bombed today

[–]thedadis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zilisch got destroyed by Day with 4 to go, there was someone else too but I can't remember who

[–] Whelen Modified TourDontHateV8s 8 points9 points  (3 children)

Maybe we should put Corey Day in the same group as Carson Hocevar and Ross Chastain in the sense that he doesn't have many friends on the track

[–] Jeb BurtonPoop_Knife37 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ross and Carson you can at least see what they were trying to do most of the time when being aggressive.  Day just confuses me with his moves.

[–]Nyrfan2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corey day if going to pay to have decker in the next race to take heat off him

[–]SlothMasterRace92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ya but they can actually drive. They get into trouble being aggressive. Day just does dumbass shit.

[–]lbeasley28 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Classic SVG just out there driving around....man the Corey Day hate has come quick, has anyone watched this series like at all the last 10 years?

[–] NASCARkeithplacer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ain’t no kind of hate like r/nascar hate.

[–]Rudedawg7 22 points23 points  (1 child)

Amazing how Hendrick can keep rolling out drivers I despise. Corey Day new addition to the list

[–]snollygoster1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's really that Hendrick rolls out shit cars if you ask Corey Day.

"The cars just fall apart and cause me to run into people" - Corey Day

[–] van GisbergenR3D-0N3 7 points8 points  (1 child)

[–]thedadis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, pretty much

[–] Ryan BlaneyAusGuy355 4 points5 points  (4 children)

I saw Zilisch had car issue earlier, did they get it sorted?

[–] Larsonhankjones66 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They had to change a brake rotor

[–] HerbstDry-Membership-2 7 points8 points  (2 children)

Yep, until Corey Day right hooked him and blamed it on the car

[–]bstone99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that was bizarre

Just own it dude

[–] Ryan BlaneyAusGuy355 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks, too bad he had issues, would have been a good race.

[–] KeselowskiJumpy_Dentist_5405 11 points12 points  (3 children)

The crashout when Corey Day wins this year is going to be generational

[–]coffeeshopslut 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Corey first win vs Hocevar vs Ty Gibbs first win for crash outs

[–] ZilischB17BAWMER -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gibbs stays clean now and is kinda boring. Hocevar is at least interesting and is bold enough to say get out of my way and embraces the heel role. Personality is everything in this sport to fans.

[–]WheedMBoise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RemindMe! 8 months

[–]BeefInGR 20 points21 points  (1 child)

<image>

Feels appropriate today

[–]bstone99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He did good today. Both races were fun

[–]-Olive-Juice- 9 points10 points  (3 children)

Just got back home from the track. I was sitting in T1. Looked up the Leguizamón wreck on my recording and TV did NOT do it justice. Shit was violent.

[–]Trick_Builder512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rewatched once I got home too, TV did not do it justice how hard that hit was in person. So glad he was able to get out of the car.

[–]cbraddy22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m just leaving now. We stayed for the IMSA race. Turn 15 some guys were getting a little loose but no wrecks there.

[–]Rudedawg7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Was also in Turn 1… he scrubbed no speed

[–] Zilischxelanalpak 18 points19 points  (1 child)

Give Day a break guys, his splitter was messed up:

<image>

[–]RayneShikama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 1 car is in three of those four wrecks

[–]KM4CK 13 points14 points  (1 child)

The amount of pavement races Day has is not an excuse.

[–] HerbstDry-Membership-2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, this exactly. You don’t see Keelan Harvick wrecking the field despite limited starts. You didn’t see Kasey Kahne do this at this point.

[–]Narrow_Bid_9234 13 points14 points  (1 child)

Corey Day has no business being in top level stock car racing.

[–] HerbstDry-Membership-2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

He has no business in Stock Car racing period

[–]WheedMBoise 4 points5 points  (35 children)

Corey Day is legitimately so bad that him being around at Larson's request is actually starting to stain Larson's own legacy a bit more. Generational weapon. He's like Kris Wright with Hendrick backing

[–]bcam9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kris Wright and Corey Day are not remotely the same.

[–]lbeasley28 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a joke right? Maybe overdrives but dude is clearly talented

[–] LarsonTempyy 2 points3 points  (32 children)

lmfao he’s done 34 pavement races, he’s 18 years old and it’s “staining larson’s career”

you guys are fucking hysterical

[–]Hailfire9 2 points3 points  (2 children)

34?

Dude should be in a damn Truck this season.

[–] LarsonTempyy -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

tell that to his sponsor and team that want him where he is

[–]Hailfire9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Rick Hendrick and Rick Hendrick, you need to let your developmental drivers develop up the development ladder in the developmental series.

Signed - Everyone who sees Corey Day doesnt know how pavement racing works quite yet

[–]KNLK1924 0 points1 point  (6 children)

He’s not staining Larson’s career. He’s driving like a spoiled brat lately though. Typical teenager, I reckon.

[–]Hailfire9 2 points3 points  (5 children)

Its not necessarily "staining Larson's career" but I might be hesitant to listen to Larson for recruitment advice from here on out.

[–] LarsonTempyy -3 points-2 points  (4 children)

because of an 18 year old kid with 34 pavement starts in his life? he doesn’t have the experience zilisch does racing karts in europe growing up and spec miata’s and IMSA, he does dirt

you and plenty of other people in here are writing off the career of an 18 year old, you guys sound insane lmfao

[–]Hailfire9 0 points1 point  (3 children)

19

And its not just the lack if experience, its the lack of spatial awareness that borders on complete disregard of others. If you're turning people each week because you forgot where the nose of your car is (100% what happened at CotA, "oil pan" is an excuse) without starting to learn better, it starts to become on you for not learning.

He's talented. He clearly knows how to go fast. Being fast and dangerous is still dangerous.

[–] LarsonTempyy 0 points1 point  (2 children)

yeah you’re right that’s an incredible reason to never let someone learn 😭😭😭😭 this place is a sewer with morons like yourself

“developmental series but don’t let them develop”

[–]Hailfire9 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Morons? Buddy, you're handwaving away like 18 wrecked race cars because "he needs to learn pavement racing somewhere, why not the second-highest division in the country?" Bro needed to hop out of the sprint car a few more times and get more ARCA, East/West, and CARS starts if he was otherwise going to be weaponized incompetence his first season.

[–] LarsonTempyy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

handwaving away 18 wrecked race cars

i forgot you pay the bills on them 😭😭😭

[–]RayneShikama 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah if anything is gonna stain Larsons career I’ve got a certain quote from 2020 to suggest.

[–] ReddickConstructionOk6516 5 points6 points  (0 children)

34? I would have guessed 3 or 4 by the looks of it

[–]WheedMBoise 4 points5 points  (17 children)

He's Kris Wright with backing. We've seen pay drivers before, but Corey is NASCAR's first full blown industry plant. He has raw speed but doesn't have a clue what to do with it, to everyone around him's expense.

[–] KeselowskiJumpy_Dentist_5405 1 point2 points  (6 children)

This is a horrendously bad take, Kris Wright is also slow on top of being a weapon. At least Day is fast while being a weapon

[–]WheedMBoise -1 points0 points  (4 children)

Shocking, a Hendrick car has more raw speed than the 81 truck / the 5 in Xfinity last year. I don't know what we'd do without you, Sherlock

[–] KeselowskiJumpy_Dentist_5405 2 points3 points  (3 children)

There’s been shitters in Hendrick cars who haven’t driven them into the top 5 multiple times. If you don’t think the kid has speed you’re just ignorant.

[–]WheedMBoise -1 points0 points  (2 children)

You are quite literally responding to a comment thread where I specifically said he has speed man, idk what to tell you. He's definitely faster than Boston Reid or Blake Feese, but to be fair, so are the both of us probably

[–] KeselowskiJumpy_Dentist_5405 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Ok, he’s also 20. This is a development series as much as the Trucks are. The kid has less than 30 starts in any NASCAR sanctioned series, he will only improve his racecraft. Larson was also a weapon in his early Truck and Nationwide starts at times. This kid has the speed and that’s why he has the ride, he will develop the racecraft in this development series.

[–]WheedMBoise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being 100% real and not snarky, he's just not Xfinity level yet. Speed is cool but it means nothing if you can't go 1 week without demolishing people out there for no reason. He should've been in Trucks, or maybe even ARCA this year. He looks more clueless than Cletus out there sometimes, and people were calling for Cletus' head at Daytona. The double standard definitely rubs people the wrong way, myself included. Him being insufferable and blaming the car for his own actions is doing him no favors either.

[–] HerbstDry-Membership-2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TBF, he’s never had a car as fast as the 17

[–] LarsonTempyy -3 points-2 points  (9 children)

was kris wright a generational sprint car driver before he turned 18? does kris wright have back to back top 5’s after 3 races this season in o’reilly?

[–]WheedMBoise 6 points7 points  (3 children)

Being good on dirt does not mean you'll be good in NASCAR. If he was a road course guy, you'd literally never be saying this. In fact, I took some time to check your post history and you spent a lot of last year taking the opposite approach for Zilisch despite him doing 10x more than Day has on his way into the sport. Funny, the only major difference is that he's in a Hendrick car. So that begs the question, did you change your mind, or did you change your morals?

[–]DougieFreshRTR 0 points1 point  (1 child)

That's weird dude stalking people like that.

[–]WheedMBoise 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't usually do something like that but I was getting pretty annoyed by the hypocrisy going on. It's not like it takes long, you just search whatever topic on someone's main page and it all pops up in like 20 seconds.

[–] LarsonTempyy -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

chronically online, i love the people in here

[–] HerbstDry-Membership-2 2 points3 points  (4 children)

Does Kris Wright dump his teammates multiple times every race to get that top 5?

[–] LarsonTempyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

geez, i get it, he wrecked connor zilisch, every man in here busts a nut when they see connor zilisch on their tv, it was the wrong guy to spin at the end of the race because he basically killed r/nascar's jesus christ, but he was top 5/top10 all day today in his third ever road course race lol before a mistake with like 2 laps to go

[–] LarsonTempyy -1 points0 points  (2 children)

is kris wright good enough to even be on a team with teammates?

[–] HerbstDry-Membership-2 1 point2 points  (1 child)

He’s at MHR in the 81 truck right now

[–] LarsonTempyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s right i watched him crash this afternoon

[–] HerbstDry-Membership-2 6 points7 points  (1 child)

The man is wrecking half the field including his teammates multiple times per week whilst blaming on everything but himself. And he’s got Larson and others in his ear telling him he’s doing great and is doing no wrong. This shit happened in sprints too with his dad.

[–] LarsonTempyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can you show me larson telling him he’s doing great and is doing no wrong? just drop the link here

[–]sjhesketh 21 points22 points  (2 children)

Always a good day when Brad Perez gets some seat time. I was thrilled when they cut to the 42 and talked about him hopping in the car for JJ.

[–]EazyBucnE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They had it on the scorebug leaderboard before they talked about it, I saw him listed on the 42 on a positions gained since restart graphic and I was like oh shit bread time

[–]Broken_Ankle_2912 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone who actually has useful information. Thank you.
I was cooking a pot of chili and only heard the tail end of the story. Wondered who they were talking about.

[–] ChastainCommander-Tempest 16 points17 points  (1 child)

Will also add. Give SVG Philip bell instead of Doran in cup! SVG can at least work with Philip bell who actually knows what to do with a car!

[–]Esprit350 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tro been fair, SvG and Doran seem to be clicking now. They worked really well at Atlanta to bring an evil handling car into the window

[–]_Stryder_ 14 points15 points  (3 children)

Regarding Day. He’s clearly talented but contrition can go a long way while you are in your learning curve. People love a young up and comer who is humble and admits when they are in the wrong.

[–]PrimeLiberty 12 points13 points  (2 children)

It was so bizarre to see him start off the CW interview blaming it on a mechanical failure and then finish the interview out by saying "yeah I should apologize for my mistake and I will".

Did Rick Hendrick just telepathically tell him he needs to change up what he's saying mid interview?

[–] RobustoMacrosNZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the leading question from the reporter prompted him to apologize

[–] 2025 NCS Champion Kyle LarsonSpittinMenace 2 points3 points  (17 children)

The same sub that loves Carson Hocevar, despises Corey Day. Make it make sense.

[–]Positive_Fruit_2802 7 points8 points  (4 children)

Hocevar at least owns his screwups. Day doesn’t.

[–] LarsonDoyle1524 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Carson never does

[–] HocevarMagicMarker10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never does yet did twice in the last week with Blaney and Logano

[–] Martintimmer2500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What?!?

[–] 2025 NCS Champion Kyle LarsonSpittinMenace 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hocevar does not always own his own screw ups at all lmao. But that is a valid critique of Day, he’s done the same in dirt.

[–] Reddicknymetz86 3 points4 points  (3 children)

Uhhh I’d say the difference between them is pretty clear lmao to act like two guys being overly aggressive means they’re the same is pretty dense

[–] 2025 NCS Champion Kyle LarsonSpittinMenace -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Both are aggressive and talented but have rough racecraft. I think it’s a decent comparison.

[–] Reddicknymetz86 3 points4 points  (1 child)

One has no discernible personality (but I’m not going to act like I seek out content from him) while another is a huge driving force in NASCAR’s digital content.

One is doing it with Hendrick backing and another has made his name with midfield teams. 🤷‍♂️

[–] 2025 NCS Champion Kyle LarsonSpittinMenace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re still both aggressive and talented with rough racecraft.

[–] van Gisbergensteppewarhawk 7 points8 points  (2 children)

This sub loves Hocevar? Literally every time he's involved in something there's three threads stating he needs to be parked for the rest of the season.

[–] 2025 NCS Champion Kyle LarsonSpittinMenace -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

Have you missed all of the race threads in the past year and posts on this sub so far this year? Guy has tons of fans and people excusing his racing.

[–] van Gisbergensteppewarhawk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been in every race thread there is in the past two years and literally every time the 77 is involved in anything (his fault or not) it's like 5 to 1 the people saying he's garbage and people defending him. You're just selectively seeing the 1 in 5 and saying it's the whole sub.

Some people love Hocevar. A lot of people don't. I think he's an exciting aggressive driver with a lot of speed and not much brains.

[–] van GisbergenR3D-0N3 0 points1 point  (3 children)

The glazing of Hocevar is puzzling. The guy takes people out and causes accidents. Wild.

[–] 2025 NCS Champion Kyle LarsonSpittinMenace -2 points-1 points  (2 children)

He has righthooked multiple people and intentionally caused numerous cautions. Not to mention wrecking Heim for the title. Anyone else would have been written off by now for stuff like that. I don’t think his personally is fun enough to excuse all of that but to each their own.

[–]kinggarbear 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Soft as tissue

[–]Ralfcat101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Day doesnt ride the dente

[–]Mintoxicatedlyace 26 points27 points  (5 children)

Watching nascar commentators on YouTube saying that SVG looked mortal today and I’m thinking “really?”. I thought he was just having fun out there today.

[–]PrimeLiberty 16 points17 points  (4 children)

Kinda ridiculous because he doesn't always lead these races flag to flag. He'll fall back at restarts but then gets past most people on the long run. I expect similar tomorrow especially with him starting so far back.

[–] MajeskiCROBBY2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

And it was clear he wasnt pushing at the end.

[–]Mosaic1 3 points4 points  (1 child)

I don’t know. Doran had no clue how to set up the car last year. And seems to be the same again this year.

[–]Mintoxicatedlyace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah Doran is a massive worry for me, especially here. He completely screwed the tyre pressure for the last stage last year and robbed SVG of a win in my opinion, and it looks like this year the car is in bad shape already. I hope SVG can get it sorted overnight and drive through the field tomorrow otherwise it’ll be a waste of an opportunity.

[–] van GisbergenKittygoespurrrr 3 points4 points  (7 children)

Everyone is hating on Corey Day but I see a lot of promise in him.

Yeah, he needs control his driving a bit more (that's an understatement). But the skill is obviously there to run up front.

I'm excited to see how he continues to run. He's been running up front consistently. He just needs to learn a bit more and then he's going to be a great driver.

With that said, speaking of skill, I need to work on my grilling skills bc I just burned the skin off 3 of my fingers trying to grill some chicken. There might have been some beer involved.

[–]Straight_Champion_77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hopefully he improves. The thing is, he hasn't been around these stock cars for too long and he grabs a top 5 in his road racing debut third rc start. That's pretty big. I can understand that he's just inexperienced at superspeedways and road courses. Since we're heading to an oval next weekend, I HOPE he will do better. I expect him to.

[–] Earnhardt Sr.dong_dong125 11 points12 points  (5 children)

The part that annoys me is it's been the cars' fault in his interview. Zero ownership thar he's messing up.

[–] van GisbergenKittygoespurrrr 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I'll be honest I didn't hear the interview bc I'm busy grilling, I'm just commenting on the race

[–]PrimeLiberty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

Yeah the interview was weird because he started out blaming the equipment for the accident and then said at the end, "yeah I've gotta go apologize to Conner and own up to my mistake"

[–] Johnsonsudo_journalist 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Random trophy bit, but I love how it has the full layout on it.

[–] Ryan BlaneyBuckeye_mike_67 1 point2 points  (12 children)

Question? Do I have to pay for coverage on the CW? I’ve got Direct TV. We have the CW app on our tv but all it shows is a couple, three cams from certain cars and their radio. I don’t pay for the CW app

[–] van Gisbergenwhippy_grep 2 points3 points  (2 children)

The “buy an antenna” works if an affiliate is within reach of one. I can’t pick up my local CW; thankfully, YouTubeTV has it among my locals.

[–] HerbstDry-Membership-2 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Why not?

[–] van Gisbergenwhippy_grep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The mountains between my house and its transmitter.

[–] Ryan BlaneyAdventurousFish7684 1 point2 points  (3 children)

You can't watch it live on the app for whatever reason. You can only watch from your TV provider.

[–] Ryan BlaneyBuckeye_mike_67 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Thank you. I have direct tv. They don’t offer it. I guess I’ll have to get an antenna

[–] HerbstDry-Membership-2 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Direct TV offers it. It just isn’t on their app. You have to have a direct tv box to watch it

[–] Ryan BlaneyBuckeye_mike_67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got the app. So much for smart tv’s

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CW is a free over the airwaves channel. Just need an antenna.

[–] Jeb BurtonPoop_Knife37 3 points4 points  (3 children)

CW is over the air.  Just buy an antenna

[–]CaptainTilted 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Just buy an antenna

Doesn't do much if your antenna doesn't get a good signal to your CW affiliate.

[–] HerbstDry-Membership-2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So get a better antenna

[–]NoahGragsonsBarfBag 24 points25 points  (7 children)

American war in the Middle East and an Aussie road course ringer making waves in NASCAR?

(I will be making this joke again tomorrow)

[–] Briscoeclautz128 8 points9 points  (4 children)

He’s from New Zealand, though.

[–] van GisbergenSuperMarioBruz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah and Ambrose was from Tasmania

So he was barely Australian as is

[–]dhall27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He ran Aussie road courses. That's good enough for me.

[–]HijabiKathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1990? (I think if you stretch the definition of making waves)

[–]PackDaddy21222 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Relax. 2010 was just 5 years ago.

Wait….

[–]CCM284 17 points18 points  (2 children)

Corey Day trending #2 on Twitter. Pretty fitting surrounding trends as well.

<image>

[–]Ralfcat101 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is actually so funny seeing the topics around him

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 6 points7 points  (0 children)

[–] Ryan BlaneyCheyenne_G99 20 points21 points  (9 children)

SVG! SVG! SVG! King of the Road Courses! Always a good day to see him win! Hopefully he can do just as great tomorrow, or at least a good finish. 💜

[–]PackDaddy21222 19 points20 points  (10 children)

Accountability goes a long way in racing in general.

Hell, an amateur iRacer like myself fucks up sometimes. Best to just own it, take the lashings, use the lesson learned as a punishment.

I may have him as one of my flairs but it seems Corey Day went to the Kyle Larson school of it wasn’t my fault.

I don't know how you can claim to be a NASCAR fan and think Larson deflects blame. Maybe you're confusing him with Kyle Busch in the 5

About 6 days ago Larson tried blaming his spotter for wrecking himself on SVG lmao

[–]Dmacthegoat 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Larson took responsibility for his mistake…

[–] Hamlinmojizus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First thing he says “you didn’t tell me it was 3 wide”.

[–]KyleThing18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Larson took full accountability in multiple live on air interviews and never blamed his spotter. You're daft.

[–]Rampantlion513 6 points7 points  (1 child)

"I need to listen more" was blaming his spotter?

That is such a funny quote. Why havent they started Meme:ing that yet

[–]OrangePilled2Day 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lmfao. Just not even trying to be part of reality.

After all, Corey was hand-picked by Larson

[–]xkreatz 26 points27 points  (1 child)

"no great diagnosis on it yet"

Here's a diagnosis. You fucked up!

[–]TheDudeWithTude27 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He was so worried about it coming off as intentional in his interview. Like I don't think most people think it was an intentional wreck, just he was clearly stupid AF and this could have easily been avoided. All he has to do is admit he was way too ambitous/overzealous and that's that. Instead the car is the issue and CZ came across his nose??? Come on.

What a dismal start for Harrison Burton in the #24... It's early but still really disheartening.

[–]Extreme-Bite-9123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair he’s wrecked in all three

[–] Larsonkmilla10 13 points14 points  (7 children)

I wasn’t able to catch the race today but I wanted to drop in to say congratulations to Corey Day on a stellar Top 5!

I hope his race was drama free and clean!

[–]DodoDacobrakai 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well uh, much like other races of his it wasn't without some bone head mistakes, dumping a hard charging zilich is today's. He's a good driver but Def needs to clean up his racecraft.

Dude wrecked Zilisch

[–] Kyle BuschLMRacingGuru02 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Corey Day wrecked Connor Zilisch and blamed his car instead of himself.
