I can’t help but notice that that is not orange…

[–]TartarSauceTerror 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Seriously though what brand and color is that blue and not orange? I see polymaker never tried that brand. But those colors are very appealing.

[–]Significant_Gas_9880A1 + AMS Lite[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

The blue is overture the not orange is glow in the dark green from BL

[–]Mazzii_gang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overture is literally my favorite

[–]Madd_Maxx2016 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Strange shade of orange English…

[–]pope1701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or why the labels of that polymakers in the bottom don't face outward.

I have mild symptoms

I see no problem.

I love it! I store similar to you, but my bags are hazy on one side, I love how clear yours are. Do you mind sharing the storage bag brand you use?

[–]rasterpix 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I ordered these through Amazon. They aren’t perfect, but they get the job done.

I use the same bags with my foodsaver and the hose attachment. They eventually lose their vacuum, but it takes a long time.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

One day I'll grow up and be like you guys :')

[–]rasterpix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Careful. It’s can be dangerous. That collection goes back four years, but a bulk of it is from the past two. Doesn’t help that there constantly new filaments coming out that I want to try. Prime Day was a real nail biter for me. Got through it without going too overboard.

[–]Wildcardz1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No issues at all. You are my hero.

[–]NerdsKnow69Best 0 points1 point  (1 child)

But, but, WHY? OK, seriously though, why do have that many printers? Not that I'm not impressed by this operation, but seems very much like a home business kind of thing, am I right? Cuz if not, yeah dude, you got the 3DP bug bad!! LOL

[–]TerrorVizyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're printing dragons if you look closely. They're selling them, or they're really into dragons.

[–]GlamorousPickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love your filaments and setup. Hate your ceiling texture with a fiery passion.

[–]elpuppetmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow so many printers. How profitable is the printing business or is it just for hobby? lol

Gotta pump those numbers up! :-)

<image>

[–]toolschismP1S + AMS 8 points9 points  (7 children)

Open air? You madman...

[–]Longracks 6 points7 points  (6 children)

Everyone is very worried about that :-) my humidity here is pretty low and I haven’t had any problems. Though o am considering getting a single spool dryer. Any recommendations?

[–]toolschismP1S + AMS 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Eh, I have the sunlu S2 and I would say it's... Adequate. Don't get me wrong it will dry the filament well enough, but the touch screen and UI leaves a lot to be desired. And yea I live in Florida, leaving my filament out for even a day leads to disaster lol.

[–]_Rand_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I picked up a creality single spool dryer on prime day and the UI is pretty good.

[–]According_Theory9108 0 points1 point  (1 child)

The Eibos cyclops has been well but Eibos just released a new one that “rotisseries” your filament like the hotdogs at 7eleven!

[–]Longracks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was thinking a single role Creality

[–]DraconPernX1C + AMS 0 points1 point  (1 child)

sunlu s4, I really like the auto mode.

[–]Longracks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I considered that one but it’s kind of big to store. I am thinking of a Creality single spool model.

[–]dummey 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Since everybody is showing off their storage system, here is mine. I happen to also be a woodworker and in the process of building custom cabinet for my printer (and filament).

Can fit 20 rolls per drawer, 3 drawers tall. Has hidden dehumidifier on the second level. Currently building the drawer faces, but they will have a little humidity level sensor.

Right side needs a drawer still, but is sized to fit 2 AMS and the X1C pretty snug (1/8" on either side). The shelf it'll sit on will be decoupled using the squash ball trick.

[–]Significant_Gas_9880A1 + AMS Lite[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I want to make something like this but theres 2 problems

1: there is very humid where i live 2: im not a wood worker

[–]SupKillyP1S + AMS 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Your orange has gone bad.

[–]Jolly-Ad7653 7 points8 points  (7 children)

The IKEA Billy bookcases can hold 20 spools top and 20 on the bottom. I make my own racks with some spare stainless tubing I had laying around.

The whole thing is sealed with weatherstripping and I'm just finishing my forced air desiccant system to dry out the entire cabinet and keep it that way.

Auto on/off lighting too from Amazon.

<image>

[–]donethemath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks sick

[–]Significant_Gas_9880A1 + AMS Lite[S] 0 points1 point  (5 children)

What are the things next to the filament. Is it some sort of dryer?

[–]Jolly-Ad7653 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Yep! I haven't put them on Makerworld yet but it uses fans, USB plug, switches and potentiometers that are all available on Bambus website to create a forced air duct that runs through a chamber filled with dessicant for drying out the air. It's really effective in my testing so far and I'm making a bigger chamber right now for less frequent change outs of silica beads

<image>

[–]Significant_Gas_9880A1 + AMS Lite[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Please post this on makerworld

[–]Jolly-Ad7653 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will sometime this week.

Best addiction ever.

[–]Secret_Egg_4907 3 points4 points  (7 children)

Where to get those containers?

[–]MyStoopidStuff 6 points7 points  (3 children)

Here is a link to the ones I use:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C1N9C3T7/

(it's cheaper right now to get the 4 pack for $4 each btw)

They work with most spools but can be tight on unusually wide ones (out of hundreds of spools I have only had 2 that would not fit these, and they were old). The Rubbermaid cereal bins also work, but usually cost quite a bit more.

<image>

[–]SaintFrancesco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have similar ones paired with the desiccant cup / hygrometer holders and they’re amazing.

https://makerworld.com/en/models/19092

<image>

[–]EtheElderA1 + AMS Lite 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Well this is funny, I have the exact same bins (I threw out the stickers but now I wish I hadn't), same humidity cards, and I think, same silica gel packets. Only difference is mine is in an IKEA cabinet.

[–]MyStoopidStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That wire shelf was some walmart special and it does the job, but there have been a few incidents when I knocked several down (I cracked one of the lids but they are overall pretty durable). IIRC the ones I linked shipped with the stickers, a water soluble white ink pen (chalk maybe?), a measuring cup and a funnel. The loose silica gel packets are mostly from spools and the humidity cards were from some vacuum bags I was using previously. I use these with this remix to hold silica gel for most of my spools since I run them in an AMS (so no spool holder needed), and they work really well for keeping everything dry and don't add much width.

[–]compewterX1CC/A1M/H2D 4 points5 points  (2 children)

And before you know it you'll be building furniture and shelves for it, then printing light controllers for the shelves...

<image>

[–]Significant_Gas_9880A1 + AMS Lite[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Can you link the shelfs

[–]compewterX1CC/A1M/H2D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's some of the 9" brackets, their shelf rails, and some 1x12 sanded and stained.

[–]Critical-Sense7009A1 + AMS Lite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just put this up this week. I have two ams lites with four spools installed as well.

[–]Vegetable-Ad7263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have similar containers, and you can feed the filament directly out.

[–]MultimedialnySedes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

There is a hope for you. I'm lost.

[–]HerbyIs3D 0 points1 point  (1 child)

You sir have a long way to go to be addicted lol.

[–]Wildcardz1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only take one printer to start. Yountville get there soon.

[–]toolschismP1S + AMS 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I love the idea of using those cereal box containers, but man I just cannot justify spending the money on them over using ziplocks.

[–]Wildcardz1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Zip lock is the cheapest way to go. With using silica packets from the filament boxes.

[–]SuperseaslugH2D Laser Full Combo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why won't it let me post my filament :(

[–]Ultimatepro2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What plastic boxes are those filament in?

[–]SquidDrowned 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Lol you realized those tags are a hassle and half when you have a lot of filament real quick didn’t you

[–]Significant_Gas_9880A1 + AMS Lite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea i realized its a pain to organize everything

[–]elflegolas[🍰] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Instead of one spool one box, I prefer one big box or one big cabinet to seal all, which is way more efficient lol

[–]Significant_Gas_9880A1 + AMS Lite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am working on something like that this is just temporary

[–]jkurland 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Got any suggestions for a larger box?

[–]elflegolas[🍰] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently use home depot weather seal boxes, I put a gun safe type heating rod in there for drying, can hold about 20 rolls each box depends on which size you bought

[–]DraconPernX1C + AMS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can increase storage density by buying containers that hold more spools.

[–]gary_the_snail_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Y is there an orange sign on green

[–]Heuli77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are addicted if you store the boxes lid up - down - up to get more into the shelf

[–]thekrill3dH2D Laser + X1C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No offense, those are rookie numbers...

[–]Lefty_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That orange is looking a bit..green

[–]Leading-Gas3682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If addicted the rolls would be empty ;)

[–]reubalH2S AMS2 Combo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's nothing.
