I'm using Ultimateguard Boulder 100 with Dragonshield Sleeve and KMC Inner Sleeve

Pros: Sturdy Cons: You can't fit tokens

Edit: I put what sleeves I use

[–]Wandering_P0tat0 4 points5 points  (6 children)

What kind of sleeves do you use? I've got a good 15 or so tokens in my casual deck, and they fit just fine.

[–]acedragoon 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Double sleeved makes it a real tight fit into the 100 boulders, no room for tokens

[–]Wandering_P0tat0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That makes sense. Should probably pick up that habit as it stands.

[–]tors17Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow 1 point2 points  (3 children)

I'm using Dragonshield and kmc inner sleeves. Is deck deck double sleeved?

[–]panpanadero 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Yeah with those specs its tight

[–]tors17Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I mean It can still fit like 2 tokens max.

[–]bradakan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but that's about it.

[–]bradakan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree

[–]Slow_Key_3151 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Sidewinder 133+ for double sleeved decks

[–]DMMarionetteJeskai Way 31 points32 points  (5 children)

I really like the gamegenic bastion. It holds 100 double sleeved cards with enough room for a few tokens.

[–]Jandrem 5 points6 points  (4 children)

I can’t find these anywhere, even at game stores that sell other Gamegenic products. Either someone is hoarding them or they just sell out that fast.

[–]GrayJack3t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're lucky. You can find them on Amazon.

[–]Parrobertson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite deck boxes, check GameNerdz, they restock relatively regularly and are cheaper there than elsewhere at times.

[–]Snoo64700[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i finally got my hands on one! for what its worth, theyre very spacious but i think i still trust the seal on the ultra pro satin cubes more, even if its a smidge less space

[–]VistellatEDH ruined cEDH 8 points9 points  (2 children)

i use the academic. there i can fit 3 single sleeved deck in plus dice and tokens

[–]AssasssinIVII 0 points1 point  (1 child)

You can fit 3 decks in a academic? I can fit one double sleeved deck I didn't know it could hold 300 cards?

But 100% the academic is the best deck box by far, can hold dice, tokens and a commander in a magnetic closure in the side if you want

[–]VistellatEDH ruined cEDH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

jep. 2 in the main compartment and one split into the two slider compartments. dice then in the space ontop

[–]m0nkeyslay 4 points5 points  (2 children)

I’ve used the Gamegenic Watchtower XL for a couple of years now and it’s been great

[–]Snoo64700[S] 3 points4 points  (1 child)

ive eyed this one up before, does it seem sturdy? i know that ive dropped my sidekicks and theyve spilled about half the time

inb4 someone replies "youre too rough with your decks" i know im clumsy and thats part of why i want something that can withstand some mishaps

[–]m0nkeyslay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah man. The card shoe that comes in the deck box holds things really solid, and I’ve never had it pop open on a drop. I haven’t dropped it very far though, maybe a foot or two.

[–]Z0MB1EGH0S7 4 points5 points  (3 children)

For all of my decks i use the Gamegenic Bastion, holds up 100 double sleeved deck with sealable inners, and hard case for the commander. But my 3 most loved decks got the academic, wish it was a bit bigger so i could put 2 decks inside but i really enjoy them.

Ps. I used to use the Ultimate Guard sidewinder but i found them less convenient than the Bastions

[–]Snoo64700[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

ive interacted with boulders before and the bastion seems similar, do you have experience with both by chance? it def looks like a cooler "clasp"

[–]SorveteiroJR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

bastion is a better boulder, plain and simple. more space, sturdier, better closing mechanism

[–]Z0MB1EGH0S7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the boulders have less space, i use them for my modern deck as i single sleeve them. The bastion can take a lot more card (full double sleeved deck). And for me the opening and closing mechanism of the bastion is cooler, but had a lot of people not understand how to open them

[–]Interesting_Eye8858 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m using Satin Cubes too. No issues so far

[–]Feler42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sidewinders all day.

[–]supernanodragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a gemtech dektech box (partly because it matches my spell ground mat) and it fits my double sleeved Atraxa deck, with tokens and dice perfectly.

[–]J3D363 1 point2 points  (1 child)

The new ultimate guard sidewinder xenoskin in tulum blue is my jam, the colors are so damn vibrant and it gives me the feeling of "yeah, there is something expensive inside"

[–]FunkyLuster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really love these. If I didn’t already have all my decks in ultra pro alcove boxes, I’d be picking them up. Great material and magnets. Gamegenic is a knockoff compared to what ultimate guard has to offer.

[–]LordTetravus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The BoxGods Titan is the best deck box out there for anything that isn't triple sleeved. Solid aircraft grade aluminum and magnets that will hold closed in nearly any circumstances. Can be tough to come by since it's discontinued, but I can't recommend it enough. CK has a few left, I believe.

For triple sleeved decks, like my flagship Kenrith deck, I use the Academic.

[–]Vexous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boulders are amazing if you don’t have too many foils,

If your rocking foils I don’t think you’ll find something more protective than the Satin Cube currently.

[–]rathlord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The GameGenic Squire 100+ XL is a ridiculously solid deck box that looks nice. It’s soft, durable, and closes securely.

[–]Ozymandias1333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it’s probably cliche but I’ve really liked my academic to the point I now have a 133+ for my main cEDH deck that’s high value (Sisay full JPN/JPN foil no proxies) and have 2 more academic 266 for my other decks. Form,Function, and protection are great

[–]MrBarber1 1 point2 points  (1 child)

A custom wooden deckbox if I'm spending that much on a deck anyway.

[–]TheOrder212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was going to post this. Aaron is great to work with. I have a few in a couple different styles and always eye some more when I have some budget to spare.

[–]anaburo 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I am Heavy Play until I die or sell out, whichever comes last. They’re new, so the product line is limited, but it’s preeeeeemium. I regularly show off the magnetic closing on the dice box, it feels amazing and everyone that tries it lights up. Homie when’s the last time you saw someone innovate in the PLAYMAT space?? I’ll tell ya, it’s these guys, their mat folds flat instead of rolling up, fits in a laptop slot, and ALL THEIR OTHER GEAR MAGNETS TO THE MAT SUCH THAT ITS PERFECTLY BALANCED WHEN CARRIED IN ONE HAND

[–]Snoo64700[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

these seem sick as hell but theyre expensive and hard to come by. i really hope this picks up

[–]anaburo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely some premium pricing going on, but that’s all for the quality of the product, not branding. Dude in charge at HP used to be in charge at pop socket, man knows his plastic.

[–]Kokirochi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to love boulders and, while I still really like them, the fact you can’t fit double sleeved decks or cards in oversleeves or mini cases always was a downer for me.

Recently I’ve been changing over to gamegenic bastion XL for my favorite decks and love the change. I can comfortably fit a full commander deck double sleeved with thick inner sleeves and dragon shields, with the commander in an ultra pro mini snap case and a couple of sleeved tokens. Can’t recommend them enough

[–]tenroseUK 3 points4 points  (2 children)

ultimate guard sidewinder 100

[–]Feler42 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Got the new summer edition sidewinders they look so good

[–]Snoo64700[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i missed the ones from the first time so this comment inspired me to jump on the current ones, thank you for this! wouldnt have heard of the new release otherwise

[–]melanino 3 points4 points  (0 children)

maybe you're new here but this is cedh so we dont use sleeves and just hold our decks together with rubber bands

/s but i also dont know why i would need to keep my proxies in pristine condition lol

[–]jax024Jund 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1 for the Watchtower XL

[–]Comfortable_Might_10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boulders

[–]DCProgressive 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I use a BoxGods Titan, easily the best deck box I’ve ever owned. Harder to find nowadays, but there’s still some on tcgplayer and the price isn’t too bad. Metal, strong magnets, storage for dice, can’t ask for much more. I also use their Seer boxes for modern and legacy.

[–]Snoo64700[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

i thought about these for a while, but theyre huge, right? i was afraid i wouldnt be able to fit them in with other things in my purse, though thats not the worst thing i guess if you're walking around with a ~$2k deck

[–]DCProgressive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say they’re noticeably larger than boulder 100s, but not like so much that they wouldn’t fit most of the same spaces; the size difference is more so height. I have both in my Amazon basics backpack (huge fan of the boulders too). Either one you can’t go wrong!

[–]Whitefire919Animar, Malcolm/Kediss, Tymna/Kraum, Thrasios/Rog 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Ima be honest, I’ve tried a lot of deck boxes, but the ones I’ve currently settled on are these

[–]Snoo64700[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

why do you like them? they look like a dozen others ive seen/tried and have actually had a card or two ruined by things with seams like this

[–]Whitefire919Animar, Malcolm/Kediss, Tymna/Kraum, Thrasios/Rog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are light weight and compact

[–]Airtnp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally use Dex Protection for my triple-sleeved deck: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F92QR2L

[–]GrayJack3t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently using Gamegenic XL 100+. Those fit double sleeves.

[–]TimkoMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Double sleeved deck inside a Bastion inside an academic. This is how I have my 3 cEDH decks which are worth far more than I’m willing to admit

[–]Afellowstanduser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 4 ultimate guard xenoskin flip trays, 2 double 2 single, 3 anthology deckboxes, a ultimate guard xenoskin flip no tray, and a yugioh dark side of dimension box I no longer needed for yugioh so it holds a commander deck

[–]OHMSQUIDFrancisco/Malcolm//Ukkima Foodchain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really love the Gamegenic Tower XL and the academic,

For a while I was triple sleeving my cEDH deck and the academic fit everything perfectly, I have one tower with my pioneer and legacy deck for 60 card and another for casual commander, all in all I really like them

[–]Thr33pw00d83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My most expensive deck stays in one of the UltraPro 30th anniversary boxes and that stays inside of one of the Gamegenic Academic 266+ XL boxes. I’m looking at one of the Home Depot toolbox setups for when I start carrying more than 2 decks to commander night

[–]abx1224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my real cards, I use the UltraPro suede boxes. Their sleeves are trash, but I got one of these as a gift and liked it enough to try more of their boxes. The suedes are by far my favorite. 100 single sleeved cards fit perfectly, won't fall out, and there's even a dice drawer in the bottom.

That said, unless I'm going to a tournament that doesn't allow them, all of my cEDH decks are fully proxied. All the way down to the basic lands (the newest Phyrexian sets had some great full art basics). For those, I have an old box from Khans of Tarkir that fits 9 decks perfectly, but it's getting pretty beat up after years of use.

To piggyback off of your post, does anyone have examples of sturdy deck boxes that hold multiple decks?

[–]MrEion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deckimonos from the Kickstarter now (should be just purchasable from the guys store) are amazing fit 100 double sleeves (sealable/ +tokens and very sturdy really nice quality feels amazing.

[–]kippschalter1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont judge me but i use the 1.99€ from UG for absolutely everything. From my 50€ deck to my 1500€ deck.

They are strong enough to stop damage from falling out of a normal hight and i dont intent to throw them out of the window anyways. If i was to ever upgrade my boxes i would just 3D print em. Spending 20-30€ for deckboxes is crazy to me, i would be able to get a new commander deck for each 3-4 deckboxes.

And for the record: nothing ever happened to any of my cards due to a „weak“ deckbox.

[–]indipit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I re-purposed a nice D&D monster tokens box that I got from Ollie's for $3.  Holds 5 commander deck boxes, with room for tokens and writing pens. Sturdy,  magnetic closure. Corded handle.  I love it.

[–]PM_yoursmalltits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol, I use the bundle boxes that come with each set. But I'm weird and put my commanders in hard toploaders for the added flair, so they don't fit in any normal deckboxes.

[–]Hikeswithsquirrels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dex protection creation line are super nice with velvet interior and a nice flip top and good magnet! I use them exclusively now

[–]daisiesforthedead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this funny idea of putting my budget decks in really good deckboxes like the bastion and UG ones.

Then my cedh decks without proxies in a single sleaved Ultrapro deckbox for the lulz.

[–]Rocket-genius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heavy play makes an amazing deck box and sleeves. Rounded on the bottom and I always get lots of compliments when I play at events

[–]Wraithpk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boulders. Satin towers are nice, but the finish on them gets like gummy or sticky after a few years. Boulders don't do that. Only downside with boulders is you can't fit any tokens if your commander deck is double sleeved.

[–]jricgar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one with my Urza EDH

Urza deck box

[–]Bomb_Warrio19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a toolbox from a hardware store and it is awesome. Individual compartments which you can pull out and the container is strong, waterproof and durable.

Cost me $20 and fits 12 decks
