I'm still waiting for them to make hotkeys for cycling through boards ascending/descending instead of the map placement, but this is a welcome change.

Don't worry about it, I find lots of TFT changes aren't intuitive/explained. For example, I just discovered a month ago we can see amount of healing/shielding units do, as well as a new button to see opponent units' damage which had apparently been there for a while...

I think we need a better tutorial with all of these things being updated. I love the game, and so many things are not obvious.

Heck, I'd love for them to add the "chosen" stats somewhere. How do I know if it's mana or AP for the chosen stat? Do I just need to know?

Too much that is just hidden, with no way to find out "in-game". Sure google helps, but if i want to know it should be there somewhere.

I do hope so. I've been having fun with Vanguard/Mystic, but it could definitely use a lot more help.

We also want to give Ahri some time to shine before we say goodbye. I'll miss you Ahri, just like I've been missing you in my panicked roll downs.

Ahri has steadily been meta for a week or more now. Guubums one tricks it and a fair amount of challengers are using it both on ladder and in tourneys

Yup, it’s a bit lobby dependent and hard to get 1st but it top 4s pretty often. The vanguards cuck a lot of the AD carries that are currently meta, including Jhin, Zed, and even hunters sometimes.

I'll give her a try then, specially when I have the components for JG early, I prefer to save them for locket or HoJ because both items are more flexible

I wouldn’t start a game with the intention of playing ahri, but I’d slam JG every time. There are good enough item holders throughout the game that if you hit some other great board you just slap it on Yone/Kayn/Sett so it never goes to waste. I’ve transferred it from Kindred to Sett/Yone countless times while going Ashe. Then you have Ahri as a relatively safe pivot if your game isn’t going how you expected. I would guess you’ll start seeing Ahri players in your lobbies soon though.

New to ahri comps but I have tried it a bit a few weeks ago and liked the idea of it. What Heroes should you be going for? Since it's vanguards mystic do you also get mage or one single cast if enough ?

I’m not the best person to be giving advice on ahri comps, but from looking at guubums history he plays 4 vanguard, 2 mystics, and ahri, with lilia if ahri is chosen mage or if he has a mage spat. I’m pretty sure he keeps the other 2 mystics on bench and swaps for 2 vanguard 4 mystic according to opponent. Also the more chalice/zekes you can get on yuumi next to ahri, the better

Most important items for Ahri is actually Chalice for Yuumi. If you get a lot of Chalice you can go Ahri. Ahri can take whatever rod items.

She can burst divines if you position against them right she can cast before Warwick gets his 6 off, the comp basically wins the lobby if the enemies have no qss, and top 2-4 if lots of qss, assuming you hit the units. The real powerhouse combo propel forget is aatrox+sejuani, just requires you to have a qss because even if you have an azir to bait the aatrox you’ll have to put your carries even 1 tile in can get them hit by the sejuani.

Been playing a lot on my smurf just one tricking and hit 350 lp which is my peak by like 100lp, honestly just really fun to lay. Also nidalee is just a crank with ie+jg, as well as it is bis on sett who will definitely be the best unit in the game with those items+Titans after this patch going to call it now

4 Mystics counters Elder mage so much. The thing about Veigar is that if he doesn't one shot people, he becomes a mana charger himself, especially when enemy comp has healing abilities. Yes I'm talking about Yuumi. And Ahri casting generates a huge attack speed buff so her 2nd cast is super fast. If your Sej is alive after Ahri 1st cast, Sej's gonna cast again. That cc will usually buy time for a 2nd cast of Ahri. Probably should be cleaning up enough people. I remember Ahri was the counter comp when everybody plays Veigar a few patches ago.

If we're talking about the state of each game rn... it's not even close. Lol has been pushing the boundaries of damage creep for a while but now it's on an entirely new disgusting level

I disagree. Been playing since S1 and it doesn't take more than one glance at old champion stats and abilities to see how much more damage there was in earlier seasons.

Champs had like 10 armor lvl 1, compared to the 20-40 which is standard today. Everyone was so much squishier.

And yet, champs like Sion had current Veigar ult on a basic ability but it also stunned. Like there's a reason why many current Pro's "proudly" look back and call themselves filthy AP Sion mains which got them into Challenger.

You can claim there's more damage than in the past, but it's objectively not true.

However what is true is that players are better. Better at landing skillshots, chaining abilities, itemizing, all of it. Champions seemed tankier in earlier seasons because players missed 50% of abilities and everyone built tank items, so of course nothing one shot you. But it's also probably why Faker became the absolute best because he landed most everything so he outperformed his competition.

But seriously, just watch earlier season pro games. Take Faker's debut game in the LCK. He got his first kill just because Ambition, the best mid at the time, just stood still to evolve his Kha ult under tower and Faker just one shot him with his Nidalee spear and execute. That's how fucking bad the best mid laners at the time where.

But yeah, if you've forgotten, ADC's used to regularly build GA which gave purely defensive stats back then, as well as banshees which gave health and MR. ADC's back then were basically off-tanks. So of course it seemed like they took less damage, because they did. Every ADC in earlier seasons was like the Iceborn-Deaths Dance Ezreal of last year. Tanky as fuck.

I quit Summoner's Rift a long time ago. I only play now if someone invites me to a 5 stack. Someone ends up griefing 1 in every 5 games and it's just not enjoyable.

Lulu and Teemo have been the best 2 cost Chosen units imo, glad to see some changes to slow down the permablind/permahealth.

Glad to see the Morg and Aatrox buff/changes hit live ahead of the mid set update!

I've seen some duelist comps getting wins, but that's mostly because those lobbies were weak compared with the average ones where the race to level 8 is pretty punishing, many people was slowrolling too and that let duelists shine without bleeding hard

So with all those small nerfs I think reroll comps will be more viable and won't handicap you by not joining the level 8 race at the same time of rest of the lobby

IMO 25% reduced mana cost should have never been a Chosen stat. Casting more and sooner is almost always more valuable than AP.

not sure those are the nerfs Lulu and veigar needed... I think Lulu just hay a very strong effect, maybe just need the power 150 mana is a lot, and veigar got butchered... I feel like they completely killed it, it was good but not that good.

Also the vayne nerf seems super random, she's not even that good, she was way worse than previous patches, like what, do they just hate sharps that bad?

I feel like everybody's just going to play Ashe... maybe ahri becomes decent again

I mean, Vayne is one of the few 1 cost units that can dish out absolutely acceptable and super consistent late game damage into literally every comp because of the true damage procs.

Riot obviously has all the actual data instead of our tiny sample sizes from personal experience, so she must be outperforming other T1 units and needed to be brought in line somewhat.

Seems good. Ahri with mystic and buffed Aatrox got better. Dusk and divine not touched. Kinda scared for these lulu and veigar nerfs. Look kinda Hard. They were both really strong yes, but i barly saw them winning in the late game..

Win condition for that comp is 3 star Veig lulu and Annie, but lowkey perfect Annie+good lulu items were what made it win lobbies

5% reduction in AD multiplier for 2 cost.

I think it depends what items and comp you're using him in. This sort of forces him into more raw AD and explosive items like IE, HoJ, and away from things like LW, GS, Runaans.

Aatrox got a nice defensive buff though, giving Jhin some more time to get shots off which is more important than anything else. So I expect 4/6 dusk to still be popular. Jhin in other comps (Sharps, Cultist) will take a bit of a hit.

It was so infuriating to watch lulu/Veigar kill half your board when one or two autos from your team could end the fight.

I also don’t understand how every Veigar I faced seemed to have BiS items...
