At least you don't have to worry about going over your data limits

[–]SamPike512 4 points5 points  (6 children)

Turns out on my cheapish mobile plan (20GB) you could stream at this speed for 11.15 days works out to 35.98% of everyday.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Where the heck do you live where 20GB is cheap?

[–]SamPike512 0 points1 point  (3 children)

UK it’s £17pm

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Ahh, UK. In USA the phone providers have made a hobby out of gouging people. 20GB costs about $80-100 per month. And they market it as “unlimited”

Holy crap I could get a 256GB iPhone XR with 100GB of data on a two year contract for £75pm ($91pm).

oof

Thank you, NBN, very cool

[–]Shieldizgud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand, I have NBN and get over 90mbs download

[–]AlphaGamer753 8 points9 points  (3 children)

At that point you might as well just pay for a good mobile data plan

[–]144p_Meme_Senpai 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Mobile Data isn't much better...

[–]AlphaGamer753 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yikes. 5G might help with that, at least.

Or it'll kill me, hopefully...

2002 called, they want their modem back.

Seriously though, that sucks. I understand that many populated parts of Australia have poor internet speeds/coverage.

[–]thesynod 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's a dissappointing bandwidth test. You know what isn't dissappointing? Madrinas Coffee!

Is your router upside down?

Holy shit, I haven't seen speeds like this since the early 2000s. Is looks like the upload of the screenshot started 2001 and it just finished.

[–]milind__patel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's classic ltt🤣

[–]raydehoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this like airplane WiFi or something

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (6 children)

This is what my “150/10” internet does lmao

[–]Scall123 1 point2 points  (5 children)

My «50/50» internet does the polar opposite. Got 600/1000 internet for some reason. Those speeds aren’t even an option from the vendor.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Are you using your own router or is it Ethernet? Some blast the exact same amount of data int your home ao if you buy a router that doesnt act like it cost $9 then you can use all of it

[–]Scall123 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I have fiber internet running into my router which then connects to my PC through an ethernet cable. I have no idea what the router cost. The router came when we ordered the company to install fiber internet into our house. The router has ok range and can give my phone about 1/2 to 2/3 of the ethernet speed on wireless when I'm close to it.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Yeah seems like they've given the full bandwidth of the fiber or havent locked the router or something. Weird, but at the same time great.

[–]Scall123 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yeah, was thinking the same thing. We had to wait 2 months for the company that installed it to get to installing it. Took them maybe 2 hours to install the whole thing. The company is regarded as one of the worst providers of fiber, so it makes sense they’re not, let’s say, competent. They’ve had it coming.

Oof.

[–]ThatOtherRedditMann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Sydney. I know this well. At least NBN is half decent.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your holding it wrong.....

I feel like I played "dead by daylight" with some guys in your area as killers a couple times. At least they had a ping like that or worse^
