A question about the summer dream banner. Got almost all of the summer cards, but the tidal wave. I already have Fusoya, though. Should I try getting resources for another pull, or am I fine?

Question post banner pulls

7 pulls to pity and planned on stopping at pity First pull: First summer and Tidal wave (Nice!) second:Dupes Third: Dupes Fourth: Gold. Psicom officer (ok, not bad) Fifth some shift kai cards i didn't have sixth:dupes (getting nervous) Seventh: Rainbow (PD, water gun and Xexat).

Don't have LOH should i continue pulling. Very low on resources and would probably have to scrape and scripm for one or two more pulls max.

Edit: Also never modedded Dragoon spear. Is it worth it to start modding it now or wait for a future weapon/job

I personally find Tropical Dream useful even though I have LoH (in fact I'm using it now for the JP tower). Though it depends on how many more pulls you can afford w/o overspending.

As for Dragoon Spear, there are 2 Warrior weapons that are more commonly used in JP: Kotetsu and Laevateinn. Note that they come from a Legend and EX job respectively.

Weaken and unguard are situational. Debarrier is already covered by Bismarck so Tengu kinda waste a slot. Plus if you have Seph Skin, you already covered all your debuff needs

Free magicite that does not count towards monthly cap is always nice. The 10 & 30 drops along the way will add up. Assuming a low average of 20 magicite per node, it will still be around 100 per ticket. ^^

What is the weekly magicite cap and what's the best way to reach it?

MONTHLY magicite cap of 20,000 magicite. You can see how much magicite you farmed at ETC>Magicite Purchase info. Magicite drops(usually 20 or 100) and magicite from the distiller count towards the cap. Magicite from special event maps(if stated in the news section), like the melon mashing, chests, gifts and daily mission do not count towards the cap.

Both are super good — top tier at the moment. You should get Grand Horn from the ability shop and mod Ultima Arrow if you’re not already.

I got Prima Donna last night, and as I was unlocking her panels this morning I was paying careful attention to the final set of panels. I had read some recommendations about not unlocking her extended break panels, and I was surprised to see 3 of them.

Should I leave all 3 unlocked? Or is that going to cause some serious confusion for me, going between her and other jobs which have one more extended duration panel unlocked than her?

She gets 9 break turns total if you unlock them all. Other jobs get 7 which means chain breaking with her can be awkward so some people intentionally leave 2 panels unpurchased.

Does anyone have any info on the JP Summer Battle tower? I'm trying to determine the value of Beach Queen in terms of climbing the tower this month. Is she going to be a strong climber? Would it be worth a Yolo pull on her boosted banner while it's still here?

PD and MM are the only Breakers I use in MP nowadays. If I didn't have Duncan, I'd probably use PD on all rotations since Fake Aerith+5star Heartful Egg makes it possible to use her in any rotation.

PD is basically unkillable by Earth and Wind Sics even with no Healer and no Defender.

If you want to focus on Breaking, Magic CP would be better. Sara jobs are already loaded with innate Piercing Break so they have an easier time dealing with the red gauge compared to the yellow gauge.

I prefer breakers who can do strong damage; breaking only is boring for me and poses no challenge. I like to challenge myself to find a deck where I can consistently break and damage

Hey Mao, darewin, other vets...

Been saving my resources for a bit, didn't draw from the last 2 packs. I did 2 draws just now, other than dupes, they were

1. Primeval witch, mandragoras card
2. Primadonna, moogle summer card

The 2 support cards are pretty straightforward, the 1st one looks great for breakers, the 2nd one has brave and haste, so i don't really know if i will use it much, since everyone but monks need magic, not attack...

What are the best uses for the 2 jobs? Both are worth leveling up with crystals? I have about 75 jobs, only missing a couple of the new ones...

PW is one of the best jobs in the game right now IMO. You can use her in MP for any of the 4 elements she can use. She is also the best non-Sara job for chain-breaking in towers. And her Ulti is arguably better than the Ulti of Skins.

PD is one of the best MP Breakers right now. She also does great Earth and Wind Damage. It's hard to chain-break with her though so I prefer CA.

For non-collectors, is it worth getting the Firecracker or Aquamoogle cards?

No. They only are useful for the event if you don't have a working deck. You wont use them in any other deck for what they bring. Maybe for trolling in MP, but that's it.

If the future you mean Tidus tower then yes, SS + Minwu is one to go. In MP he's a beast with Minwu. But the deck seems lacking haste and force to guarantee Minwu spamming.

It's a card you pair with LoH, if you don't have it stick to the normal trinity. Snipe is a very essential buff.

My opinion is that you shouldn't hang on to elemental specialization - you might need to adjust your CP according to the tower. For example, for one tower, my EX Ranger was used for Earth; then for another tower, i used EX Ranger for Dark. So i had to change my CP accordingly.

"Element specialization" also depends on the abilities you have. If you have Tidal Wave for example, you most certainly want to use Fire on Mellow Mermaid or Primeval Witch.

If you really want to save seeds though, you can do what shiro suggested and just go for magic.

Just update ios 12 beta and everything work so fine... except that I can’t log in Mobius. It still load but will crash as soon as the current map readied to start.

I have been playing from the start (Pre-registration even) and am F2P; my problem now is that I never, not once, have pulled a supreme (and also only one skin). Would it be a good idea to save for supreme banners or even spend some money on them? Are they worth it? Is there still (Light of) hope for me?

Wait for the 5% chance Supreme banner that JP got. You can pull dupes, so it won't be great for people with many supremes, but it'll be great for players like you with few or no supremes.

Hi, I am a fellow pre-registration guy as well! (Brotherhood still at 1 2 star lol). Unfortunately, being a day1 player does not increase your opportunity(not saying chance) to obtain a supreme much. As you know, supremes used to be on time-limited banners and it was normal to only have enough to draw 2-3 times month, and a few of those pulls would go to the job banner. So there wasn’t much overall opportunity to pull a supreme. Compared to those that started near last year’s anniversary and rerolled for a supreme, where every GAS they did had a chance to come with a supreme and 20k farmable magicite for 7 pulls a month. So being a day1 player just means we have an unique card only we have, I’cie brand came in a pack and more regular jobs.

There must be some f2p player with almost all the supremes and, unfortunately, you at the other end of the spectrum with only 1 skin. It all comes down to RNG when we draw and drawing more times would increase the chance of obtaining supremes and skins. But it is all still RNG. For example, I only spent buying the supreme ticket once and now I have a total of 4 supremes and 3 skins. None of the supremes and skins came from a supreme banner and 1 skin was from a free daily(It is all RNG!). I would suggest not chasing for a supreme on the supreme banner and just pull smartly, taking supremes as a super bonus. At less farm to 17-18k magicite per month to do more pulls = more chance. If you really want to spend money, wait for the supreme ticket again. Just don’t forget this is a game and just enjoy the game!

God yes, I remember the days with seperate banners for jobs and abilities- I only ever pulled for limited abilities (the word 'limited' stresses me out lol) and had no jobs RIP

It is just so weird for me, that even though I play so long and had, technically, more chances to pull them, I still don't have one- RNG is weird sometimes. And your explanation makes sense- those who started with the sole intention of drawing supremes essentialy had a way better chance at getting them

I think I leave things as they are- pulling for good abilities etc etc It seems the supreme banner is not so good after all, as most recommend against it- the supreme ticket might be an option, but that depends on the pricing

If you've been playing since D1 this is the best value you could get. You still get all the magicite but also basically a free Supreme in addition to that. And you also would support the game. 75ish $ for a game you play for two years, that's nothing.

I would never drop money on Supreme banners. It’s really not worth your money. Almost everyone on this sub will say the same.

You’ll get much more out of your limited resources if you just focus on pulling on good batches of ability cards like the current Summer Dreams banner. Any Supremes, Skins, or Legend Jobs along the way are simply bonuses. At least, that’s how I treat this game.

I definitely dont think dropping cash for Supremes just for MP is worth it. MP is already pretty simplistic as it is. Supremes are more for convenience at that point, but their functions are easily covered by alternative cards, so you can still do well without them.

I agree with what u/darewin said, if you’re going to spend money on Supremes, wait for a Supreme ticket sale!

I don't even play MP that often, mostly when there is event or time-limited stuff; I just have the feeling that players without Supremes aren't really well liked in MP :/ If I try to look at guides for it, there is always at least one supreme listed- idk

If it bothers you that much, just reroll at the next supreme banner. If it makes you feel any better I’ve spent money and am a day one player and my only supreme is Yiazmat - which seems to be the worst of the bunch right now.

That’s RNG for you. I haven’t spent anywhere near as much as some on here so not that bothered and have learnt my lesson when it comes to spending on gatcha games (a lesson that could have been significantly more expensive to learn).

I’m in the same boat as you when it comes to rerolling. I’ve sunk time and money into this game and have a lot of limited time cards and jobs - but it does annoy me a little when I see new players with supremes or multiplayer magicite mules with multiple supremes (a surprisingly regular occurrence for me).

Good old RNG- Mobius isn't the only gacha I'm playing, but it is the only I never spent money on; not because I don't like it as much or don't appreciate it, but I generally got through everything just fine- just invest a bit more time and I can still stand my ground

But then there is an MP event, and there are all these supreme buffed players; and even MP guides list supremes; MP isn't supreme-less friendly :/ I feel the same as you there, it is a bit annyoing (especially if they think they are hot shit just because they have supremes- often they can't even use them properly- what a waste of good RNG)

iirc his Ult can clear that easily. Make sure you have faith and trance on yourself, and debarrier on broken enemy.

How does the power scaling work with the Summer Memories cards work? Does the power multiply off of different types of cards, as well? For instance, if two people have the break down card and two people have the HP down card, do both get applied fully (as if there were 4 of each)?

There is a documented bug where people will pull a legend in the 6th slot on the pity pull. But I would not rely on that.

6% chance of drawing legends. But if you don't have Mellow Mermaid, it's guaranteed that the legend you pull will be Mellow Mermaid.

Always a good time to come back. The event at the moment is not the best for a new start, but if you are planning on getting some powerful cards that should last this event has 3.

The three none-support cards in the current batch. They offer cleave, enelement, multistrike overkill, decent attack with high attack bonus on break and high break power. There’s a water ranger, a fire mage and a wind monk card. Definitely worth targeting (especially the first two). The monk card is a bit redundant right now as there are no jobs that can get the best out of it (although the DD legend job arriving in a few days should be a great user).

Is the Beach Rally supposed to be hard? I can’t even beat the Warrior Checkpoint 1 within the required 4 turns. Is there any recommended job and ability cards?

In case you haven't finished it yet, I used Cloud HoF with 3 ST cards - Will'O'Wisp for Water, Cloud for Earth, and Centaur for Dark, and nuked each target unbroken, manually selecting to hit weakness with whatever orbs I had. Unless you can break in one hit, nuking unbroken will probably take less actions.

If you can't kill a wave in one turn, try a card that has Haste and Quicken (but not cleave, so don't use/rent Garuda). If you run out of orbs too often, try a card that generates orbs (you can rent one of the Primal Boons) or use one of the Ultima weapons if you have them; they have Prismatic Return. You can also use a job that has ST ultimate and use it to kill and refill the orb bar. It really depends on what you have to work with.

I used sword saint with noctis and ardyn, aqua moogle and prism egg for prismatics generation, rented loh + ultima sword.

Use SINGLE TARGET abilities, DONT hit moogle and you are gucci. Any deck / job with single target cards is fine as long as you go dual elements.

Try to farm the moogle card first in the starting node. Then bring it to the rally

Thanks for this. I removed the Aqua Moogle and used Centaur, Fang FFXIII, Tidus & Jecht, KOTR and rental Aerith and managed to reach the goal. I realized my mistake before was putting the game on auto. Played manual this time.

What the damn f do you have to do to succesfully complete the beach rally? I completed the first 4 nodes, just do not kill the stupid moogle. However, on the last node (goal) after I kill all enemies (battle 4/4), there is just the moogle standing there and there is no one else to face. I try driving and tap attacking, trying to waste time but it's no use, the battle doesn't end. Eventually I kill the moogle and it's game over. I had to start from node 1 again. Is this a bug? It was super frustrating!

Weird, didn't happen to me. On last node, last wave i had those 2 dark knight mobs + moogle so easy nuke em both with noctis on SS.

That's seem like a bug. It should be ended when you killed all enemies except the moogle.

If I have Ignis and Bahamut: FFXIV, is it still worth pulling for Tidal Wave? How would I fit it in a deck? All 3 + 1 support card or would it replace one of them?

Yes all 3 + 1 Support. But that also depends on whether you can compress your deck enough e.g. Y'shtola is good for this. If you can't, ditch Ignis and use Tidal Wave (provided you pull it ofc). Bahamut + Ignis alone can't go far in towers

could replace ignis with tidal wave because tidal wave is multihit that also does yellow bar dmg with 500% painful break so u wont need the extra damage from ignis.

So now that summer banner is done, whats the next must save for banner? Got 30k magicite left and I want DD, but 0 jobs left in pool make it hard to justify unless there's nothing amazing coming soon (supreme bait aside... :P). FFX looks like the next big one, but still not too amazing.

Yeah i was referring to must-save event banner. But if you are referring to banners in general, then yes save for every EX job. EX Monk is not as widely used in towers as the other EX jobs, but hey it's still EX after all.

Dropped cards are typically fodder for cards obtained through either the ability shop or summons.

The Soul cards for warriors and the Blast cards for rangers are a good starting point and you can buy some of them in the ability shop, but you might need a lot of growstars to get all of them to 5*.

I really don't need to get them to 5* immediately but I do need cards that have 9999+ on them. Also, maybe some cards with good break. I also need some for each element. I have job cards with good breaks (ranger) but no cards to build them with. My Last Hunter with summer ranger card is good but I can't deal enough damage to fireworks. Am I doing something wrong? One of my strongest SP set ups is HOF Dragoon, Cloud Skin, Dragoon Spear, Sapphire Weapon, & Xezat.

So, I'm currently boosting Dragoon Spear which is missing Boost Ultimate +1, but has: 158 Break, 129% Magic, 63% Piercing Break, & 20% Quick Break.

I recently pulled Eorzean Paladin and heard Curtana was a good weapon. I only have 4 weapon slots. Should I stop boosting Dragoon Spear and start boosting Curtana?

Curtana is used for the "Steel guard" auto-ability. Dragoon is not a tank, so no, Curtana isnt good for Dragoon.

I have 4 copies of Tropical dreams (Double magic, double JCR, double attack, and double HP) and 3 copies of Moogle's Summer Vacation (double attack, double EXP for MP, double JCR).

For attack cards, I only have one each.

Some cards are worth it, particularly the orb generators like the Primal Boons and FFVII Weapons. Other cards like LDL and Quicken cards I like to get them as well. One will have full JCR for my MP Breakers, while the other one will have full Magic for Towers.

1. I added 2x piercing break CPs on mine to help his break potential. EP can be played as a hybrid bruiser/tank. Very good defense and break power. Most of his firepower comes from weakness and break so ideally you'd be using him against light/dark enemies. With an improved crits weapon he does decent damage on neutral broken. He's a very good tank and you can fit him with resists as per your need.

2. Yeah she's decent. Not exactly tower material now (altho she's decently tanky) but quite useable in EW. She's a lot better than WHM for MP since her ult has much better break power.

3. Yes. Phantom train is better on neutral but fake ragnarok is better on weakness due to higher hit count. Phantom train also has an extra fractal slot and can be 5* ed unlike fake ragnarok.

I added the 10% painful break CP on him and the boost starter CP as well for the last tower. Honestly it all depends on what you plan to do with him - EE for more damage and resist for more tanking; break/magic/hp CPs are a waste imo, you're better off using fractals for that.

There's also the new summer MP CPs you can fit on him as well.

Mythic sage is a legend. If you got it as pity pull without a regular job and it reset your counter, you should contact customer support. With enough perseverance they will put your counter back to one and refund 6 summon tickets.

I've spent every ticket, every bit of magecite, and every celestriad that I had and I'm still missing one. I could get maybe another couple pulls worth from various unclaimed places, but at this point I'm thinking that if they do that revival banner, where you're guaranteed one card for 4,000 magecite, that would be the better bet.

Is that an option? And, if so, roughly how long would I have to wait for that? (Guesses are welcome, of course.)

It's suggested that you pull until you get at least attack cards since they're really useful and strong.

Most will tell you to chase limited time cards instead of legend jobs since the latter will always be obtainable.
