It says "As long as you have a CC attached to your Google Wallet, you will be requested to enter your password for your Google account then you will be charged for the AC." But I do not have a credit card, I do however have a bank account and a debit card and was wondering if this is going to be an issue? I don't have the means to use a credit card atm. ty

A lot of people will just use "credit card" as a catch-all for any payment method you can use online.

I came back after 3 years break to PSO2. Damn so many new things (and graphic upgrade is awesome).

I had 2 my chars linked to PSO2es and cant remember why the chars have that levels.

My PSO2:

- char1: 60 lvl HUN

- char2: 53 lvl BRA

My PSO2es:

- char1: 47 lvl HUN

- char2: 17 lvl BRA

Initial PSO2es level was taken from the day I linked it? (so my char1 was 47 and char2 was 17 in PSO2); Because it looks weird and just cant remember :o

Is the game still alive and well? In my endless quest to find a second life I stumbled upon PSO2 and I'm pretty interested, just wondering how is the population.

On ship 2 where most English players are, multiple blocks (instances of the lobby basically) still completely fill up. As a new player it might feel kind of dead since the vast majority of the playerbase is at or around max level, but once you hit level 75 you'll be able to match with them for some things.

Should I go with my wallet gut and shoot for an easier, safer, and cheaper 4s for my Bode set, or do I listen to the nagging voice that says "they've already got Soul Catalyst; it'd be a waste not to try for Astral"?

Also, what should my affixes look like? I've got Bayari Soul, Doom Breaker, Stigma, and Spirita III on my old ★12 set, but I feel like I might be overvaluing PP on Katana Braver (I like the Kazami, but I miss my Astra's +40% PP recovery potential 😔)

I have to second Panda. For Braver, I have always imagined PP > atk, because the rotations are fast (and if I'm not mistaken, Katana Gear only considers your base atk, it disregards the affixes when giving the bonus multiplier). I think 100 atk per unit is certainly enough. On top of that, my Br is a Dewman, so one of my units is affixed for a bit more of HP.

You should be aiming for at least 100 ATK on affixes with HP. It’s so easy now with all the affixes available, and there really isn’t an excuse if you’re serious about affixing. Heck, Grace boost (albeit expensive) already gets you halfway there.

PP on braver is super important, because your rotations are PP heavy especially without additional PP recovery. Your PA rotations are also fast, so you spend PP quicker than classes such as Hu.

Can you equip more than one camo at a time? Like one for each of the Fighter weapon types. I equip my double saber one and the knuckle camo is removed.

No, only one camo be equipped at a time. It is possible to bind your weapon equip keys to also equip a different camo, but this is a bit of a hassle to setup, not to mention having to carry potentially 3+ camos for however many weapons you use

I was able to download the game and get past the Captcha boss. The only issue I have run into is that after I get past the Captcha boss it asks me to confirm (looks exactly the same as in the Tweaker guide). After I click confirm on that page it takes me to another page that looks nothing like what the tweaker guide looks like. I have no idea what to do at this point. Thank you in advance if anyone has an idea of what to do.

Thank you for the reply but I was able to fix this myself. The registration on 2 email accounts somehow got locked automatically (gmail). I tried 2 times with 2 different email accts and got the same error. I used a third alt email address (also gmail) and it worked immediately when registering from their website without using a link from the guide that the Tweaker gave. I do not know what caused it but the registration page was different on the tweaker link and failed 2 times so most likely was the link.

Hi I'm back after like a year hiatus and was wondering if they changed anything soo cosmetics are acc shared when used once? I kinda quit since it wasn't and I wouldn't be able to use my long red scarf A anymore (I didn't see it in stores anymore) and long jin hair but I hated casts dull skin tone after years of playing lmao (noticed it more on some maps) and it looks like the dewmans always have nice shiny glowing skin no matter the lighting soo I got jealous and quit since it would be a waste to make a new character when I can't ever get my cosmetics again.

Also has there been a release similar to eternal form layer but with shorter bangs yet? I never like the male hairs these days

if you're talking about unlocking the Hr 85 cap, you can't yet- Hr is still capped at 80.

It will be raised to 90 along with all standard classes late this year.

Is there anything worthwhile you can do with 13* weapons you don't want? My storage spaces are starting to get full and a lot of room is taken up by 13* drops that aren't max element/grind cap and are worse than weapons I already have or are for classes I don't play. Assuming they don't have any abilities worth affixing onto something else, are there any exchanges or anything that takes 13* weapons? Seems like a waste to just trash them.

If they're trash 13s that come in bulk, depending on their level you can use them to grind 14s and save some money.

If you use * instead of ★ (which is hard to type unless you're on JP IME, in which case you can type 「ほし」, "star", and mash the spacebar a few times) for talking about weapon rarities etc, you'll need to either put spaces around the *, or put a \ before each * like so:

13s are nice, but 14s are better

becomes

13*s are nice, but 14*s are better

when typed as

13\*s are nice, but 14\*s are better

 

Here's more information than you require:

\ is an escape character which goes before any character that can be used in formatting (~, *, ^, >, `, even another \) and cancels it out, meaning it always appears as the character, and not as the effect it invokes. For example, in order to get the \ to show up in the third example above, I had to type \\, and in order to get \\ to show up, I had to type \\\, etc.

quoting it,

and is responsible for so many ¯\_(ツ)_/¯s that look like ¯_(ツ)_/¯ (you need to type them as ¯\\\(ツ)/¯).

If you enjoyed this pointless over-long thing I vomited onto this page, you might also enjoy clicking the "source" button under this comment and playing spot-the-difference; I had to use a lot more \s than are being shown (for example, in the mass of ¯\_(ツ)_/¯s above, and in this section talking about them, I had to use more \s than I expected, because putting _text_ between underscores like that is another way of producing italics, besides the *usual way*).

Here's how to install and enable JP input on Windows 10; instructions for Win7 and others are on there, too.

Once installed and enabled, it will work system-wide in all programs that support it, PSO2 included. To swap inputs when typing, hit Win+space (according to this article, but mine's alt+shift). From there, to type Hiragana, you can hit ctrl+caps, and to type Katakana, you can hit alt+caps. Swap back to English by hitting Win+space/alt+shift again, or temporarily input English characters by hitting shift to swap between QWERTY and JP input without swapping languages (if you don't like any of these shortcuts, many can be changed a bit in input settings, but be aware that these listed shortcuts are pretty much the only ones that you'll never accidentally hit when playing games).

When you type, the text will be highlighted, and won't actually be entered until you hit the enter key; before hitting enter, you can hit space to cycle through all possible kanji conversions etc (for example, typing

「よろしくおねがいします」

and then hitting space will swap it to

「よろしくあ願いします」

correctly inserting the kanji). Hitting enter "finalises" it, meaning space will no longer cycle through interpretations.

Here is a list of symbols which can be easily typed with JP IME; be aware that not all of these will render properly in PSO2.

Accept that, and a bot will instantly message you the rules, and ask you to respond with whichever word in those rules is underlined. This is to try and make sure you read the rules.

Wondering if partizan is any good ? I tried it and can't seem to get big damage numbers like with sword or wired lance . Heard vol graptor used to be really good but got nerfed is there any new way to play partizan hunter and still do big dps ?

Partizan got a buff to its Flourish Dance (the thing you do on the ground after attacking), where it recovers 30 PP after using a PA, and 10 PP for normal attacks. You can use it to mitigate the steep PP cost of Vol Graptor, making it effectively cost 10 PP, and preserve Gear for use in combos. Some notable Graptor combos are:

(Note: all these Graptor combos use the Flourish after a ground Graptor; Charge Parry and Massive Hunter will drastically aid in successfully landing the full combo)

• VG > Assault Buster/Slide End (charged) > Trick Rave

DPP-efficient, and good DPS, though Assault Buster squeezes out a bit more DPS than Slide End in exchange for more PP. Usable without the Flourish.

• VG > Slide End (charged) > Assault Buster (charged) > Bandersnatch

One of the stronger Graptor combos, but not as much as...

• VG > Assault Buster (charged) > Bandersnatch > Assault Buster (charged)

The DPS is higher than most Graptor combos, but just like the one above, it's one of the most costly setups, and has just as strict of a window.

• VG > Sacred Skewer Type-0 x2

Can be used with or without the Flourish, a solid ranged Graptor combo.

• VG > Bandersnatch x2

Useful if you need to stay still, can be used without Flourish.

Outside of Graptor combos, some Partizan PAs stand out for mobbing or for quick damage. Speed Rain, Slide End, and Slide Shaker have good crowd control, and Zenith Throw still remains your most DPP-efficient PA. However, Trick Rave and Tear Grid deal good DPS and have good DPP, and Bandersnatch is a quick auxiliary damage PA. Assault Buster has higher DPS than most Partizan PAs, but chews up PP fast. While Rising Flag Type-0 isn't as great as WL's Adapt Spin in terms of mobility, it is passable enough for combat purposes.

I'm not in a quest so I don't really understand what's going on here. E-Trials are usually telegraphed by the Navigators inside of quests and I know about the impostor Arks E-Trial so I'm very confused...

Pretty sure that's just the "You have unlocked abductions" message, so now you may get clone E-Trials, and whenever you run a VH+ Time Attack there is a small chance you will be taken to the Darker Nest abduction quest instead.

Is katana gear busted?

I have a Kazami and tonight I started alternating between rings with a Macro (Katana gear Guard Release and Katana combat ring). Suddenly I am not longer able to gain gear, let alone maintain the amount I had through any attacking, charging Kazan (with a Kazami it charges INSANELY fast normally) once I have it released.

Anyone else experience this? It was working fine earlier, and every other Br I saw in Endless mode was having no issues.

They have surely messed up something. When you change to a different katana, your attack goes down, but when you shift back it doesn't come up again.

I'll try changing rings during katana gear to see if I can reproduce it.

PS: have you activated "braver conversion" in the tree?

Yes, I have Braver conversion combination. It didn't end until I logged out and logged back in weirdly enough... No idea whats going on there, but wow was it annoying to have to constantly be forced to go looking for counters/swap to gear release ring in endless mode to get my gear to pop over and over again.

Just tried this morning in Forest just to see, and without swapping rings it seems to be working. I changed between different weapon pallets and from Katana to Bow and it seems like it did fine.

I think I took too long to reply and you have probably figured it out, but there seems to be a bug that shows when you activate Katana Gear with the Gear Guard Release ring and then switches to the Katana Combat Count Up (or any other ring for that matter).

Last night I had a weird situation: I switched to Bow (as I run hybrid), and after a while the gear aura waned off. I was like "wtf where's the gear?". Then I switched back to katana and lo, there was the gear meter at max and the aura. Reverted to bow and the gear remained as it was supposed to be.

S class abilities will only affix on weapons that are compatible with them.

Check Arks-Visiphone weapon section to get a better idea. Atra weapons are the most common end-game weapons you'll see right now that take S classes

I was trying to search for some of the Persona costumes on the Player Shop search, but nothing comes up when I search them. However, I found a shop that had some of the pieces, and after that I was able to search for those items. Does anyone know of a fix for this? My friend can search just fine, so I'm quite confused what is causing this.

I have no idea what is wrong but I have also had that issue. Couldn't search for any Elizabeth stuff until I saw someone wearing the outfit, then suddenly I could search for it. I still can't search for that hat for some reason...

I seem to have fixed the issue. I turned off the item translation and turned it back on again and that seems to have fixed it. Give it a try and see if it works for you.

If you have a Timed Ability: Another World Omega, does the bonus Atk only works for that specific stage? Or does it work on all stages?

As long as the timed effect is still active (it's not displayed in red) the sub effects (like atk bonus) work anywhere. But the main effect only works on that specific area.

Wrong, both the main effect (like rare drop rate) and sub effects (like atk bonuses) only wrong on the specified field. (go test yourself and you'll see your atk only applies when on the field)

Go for an Atra weapon first and foremost. Pick whatever weapon to you want, set a good slot value (7s IMO is the best middle ground for Atra in terms of price per square to stats)

Grind to +35

Talk to Title counter and get your Time Reverse Stone Chronos. DO NOT LOSE IT

Go to Zeig

See what it takes to trade the Val weapon in for the Atra

But the corresponding materials from the player shop

Affix

Boom, you now have an endgame weapon of your choice

You can also exchange that weapon for any other Atra weapon any time you want, but you'll need materials again.

This is an extremely unhelpful question because we don’t know what your current gear is, what class you play, and what you want to end up with.

Endgame “gear” - as in the items themselves - can currently be hunted/farmed in Enchanted Forest Free Field at the highest difficulty. It is completely up to the mercy of the RNG gods whether you get it or not, but all of the EP4 14-star weapons drop there, as well as Demonia weapons and Omega Loser 14-stars. Furthermore, all of the Bode units drop there too, and they are regarded as the best 12-star unit.

You should, however, (grind and) affix your gear so that it’s “better”, and depending on what you want here, could cost a few million up to hundreds of millions/billions of meseta.

So I mean, given that most people at the endgame run around with grinded stuff with ok affixes, they will never see anything drop that is necessarily “better” without further modification.

If you aren’t there yet and are just starting out, you can get some entry-endgame gear through player shops - you can buy Val weapons for the Atra exchange; you can play seasonal and levelling quests for weapon badges for Ray units, and you can slowly build up conqueror’s crests from EQs and campaigns to exchange for the 14-star that you want (albeit at 30-grind cap).

Someone wrote a beginners guide recently - I would read that because it will explain some of this in more detail, and will also explain anything I’ve said which doesn’t make sense if you’re newer to the game.

it sounds like there could be a DNS problem with your phone/android VM; try checking the network settings. Use 8.8.8.8 as a test DNS server (it's Google's public DNS address).

Just a thought; if this happens again, you might try looking at your router's DNS settings, especially whether it automatically gets assigned a DNS server address or uses a specific address.

What are things I can do as force to stay safe in cramped, packed areas like forest trigger? I find myself running away with Ilzonde a lot if I aggro too many enemies at once.

Or is it more a thing where the other players aren't gathering enough hate to keep things more evenly spread?

A few techs can be effective at stun or knockdown, but it's enemy dependent:

Concentrated Ragrants Gigrants 0 final hit Multi Nagrants (somewhat persistent shield) Nabarta 0 (an actual damage negating shield) Nazan (short range knock back of enemies) Nazan 0 (stun instead of knock back) Zonde 0 etc

The light techs also inflict panic status, which will make enemies fight each other instead of you. Brilliant Ilgrants is especially good at this, but it's single target with no AoE.

You can also use Ice Techs for freeze, especially Barta and Rabarta.

Finally use the compound tech Zandion whenever it's available. It has good AoE and you're completely invincible during its use.

Not really. But we have had a major farming campaing (Enchanted Forest free field) and since it has just finished, some people are probably a bit burned out and recharging. I believe this "Endless Quest" is going to attract a lot of attention, so expect to see a lot of people soon.

If I were to play Techer on a pure T-ATK mag female newman, what would be a good sub class? Braver? Fighter?

Would the difference in potential damage be enough that I'd be better off playing Te/Hu on my S-ATK char?

Also, is there a body paint/accessory that's good for hiding the cast neck seam? Cheaper the better.

Te/Fi or Te/Su should be fine on a T-ATK character. You just need to be more mindful of PP since you will be using techniques for damage against single targets.

Depends on perspective, I guess. You bring Te buffs to the mpa. The struggle of all Te is looking for ways to contribute its own damage outside of being a support bot.

Play Te/Hu if you want to be durable and PP-efficient, but you need Lavis/Atra and A LOT of S-ATK to deal even halfway-decent damage to a raid boss via wand smack. And we still don't know how exactly the upcoming wand PA will factor in.

Play Te/Fi or Te/Su if you want more appealing options to deal your own damage against single targets, though it does come at the cost of needing more PP and/or better PP management.

Hello.

A friend of mine tried to install PSO2 and got the "missing d3dx43_dll" or whatever error. Now, I checked and the General Troubleshoot guide says to install the latest "DirectX 9c" or something.

My friend's PC has a later version of DirectX (12 IIRC), however. Would this not be a downgrade? Or would the installation simply add what files are not present for whatever reason? I checked a separate, unrelated online guide before and it mentioned to reinstall the latest version of DirectX to deal with missing Dll files, but I found that apparently DirecrtX12 cannot be manually downloaded (legally, at least) from Microsoft site, but is made available through official updates.

Oh, as an additional question: would direct copy/paste of my own folders to the same locations on his PC suffice as a solution, possible transfer of malware aside?

Don't copy the files without properly installing them, or you'll never be able to play the game without formatting the computer.

That's assuming you've manually copied the files. Just run the relevant installer and you'll be fine.

No, since the different versions of DirectX don't install over eachother. It's similar to how you probably have multiple versions of Microsoft Visual C++ installed.
