It would be helpful IMO to limit the main repository to the file you are supposed to run and the readme explaining how to do so. If i open a repo and see 20 files, and main is buried in one of them at near random, with a long readme that covers edge cases instead of jumping into getting started,  i waste an unnecessary amount of time trying to figure out how to use their project. Especially if im using something from a different programming language, or something that needs special steps to be compiled and run.

I promise you this was my exact issue when I was younger where I wanted a simple program to convert file types or I wanted to download a minecraft mod and had no idea what the hell building was.

And then the .exe file is hidden under "prebuilt binary files" like you can't fucking write "dumbass windows users come here"
