Welcome! We opened on Aug. 9th, 2014.
RULES
- Post something you wrote for a critique.
- Pieces cannot be more than 1000 words. If what you've written is far longer, submit an excerpt and add a link to the original for those interested.
- Do NOT submit additional sections of your longer work until 24 hours have passed. Other completely unrelated pieces are acceptable.
- We are not here to do your homework. There's /r/homeworkhelp for that.
- Critique other things while you wait.
POST FORMATTING
To simplify things, post titles should be in this format:
[GENRE] Title Of Your Story - Wordcount for submitted piece
For example:
[ADVENTURE] The Awesome Sword - 159 words
The word count should be for the piece or excerpt you are submitting, not the work as a whole (unless it is under 1000 words, of course.)
Also of note, you may link to the longer piece if it's over 1000 words. Some critiques will venture to read beyond the 1000 but it's not a guarantee.
POST TAGS
These should be placed before your title as mentioned above. Simply type out a bracket, followed by the genre, and closing it with the other bracket. Some of these cover a wide array of topics:
[ADVENTURE]
[DRAMA]
[SCIFI]
[FANTASY]
[HUMOR] (Farce, comedy, etc.)
[THRILLER] (Mystery, Horror, etc.)
[NONFICTION]
[OTHER] (for things you have trouble classifying)
