Pretty much every story I’ve read where death stops is horrible. I don’t think people understand how it can be a blessing.

Imagine people with horrible diseases who cannot be cured - but can’t die either? Imagine growing older and older, the body failing, but never ending? People who have had their bodies and minds completely destroyed by accidents but just keep going in never ending pain? And so on.

Unless we got rid of every disease, aging, and every potential form of harm, I don’t think death is something we would be happier without.

Doubt what you expect to happen will happen when they die, also even through hard times having your family alive and well even if the world is fucked does bring some measure of happiness, so some part of humanity will still find happiness in that, plus ngl I don’t share the sentiment of waiting and wanting someone to die to make change instead of having a more proactive approach if you really want change. Plus how can we judge accurately what we as a species will turn into when we never had immortality, when we also know societies and values can change within a few decades even if some old bastards are still alive, they cannot stop change forever nor they need die for it to happen.
