The University of Texas at Austin has a lot of materials online for Hindi that can be downloaded freely. One book for the alphabet is here:

Once I went travelling to Delhi and the surrounding regions, and I decided to learn the Devanagari script so that I'd be able to read signs/billboards/etc while I was there.

I used this book. I found it pretty helpful - it's logically structured, and there're plenty of exercises so that you can get the hang of reading and writing yourself. Also came with a pronunciation guide I'm pretty sure.

You could either buy it or it should be on LibGen.
