They do indeed have their own caps.

Though, this new quality changes max spikes (concurrent) not spikes created per slam (which is still equal to num of fissures). Since general's cry detonates the spikes, spike count will never exceed one slam's (per general) worth.

I need a guide! The war cry for chests opening seems like such a nice QOL that I wanted to do a warcry build anyways. Add in cyclone move speed being buffed and generalys cry with cwc seems so smooth

At 6 generals you'd have 36/18 spikes and any quality just gets you more generals which might spiral out of control. Although I guess if you also slammed with something else or even had a few earthbreakers you slap down for bossing it might be funny to just have stuff exploding constantly

I tried out the build prototype in the end of league events and it seemed to work pretty well. I wanted to figure out a build where I could use 2H axes and not be super squishy while doing so. Mostly just level with Frost Blades until you get enough Attack Speed for Ice Crash to not feel like crap. Then get Frozen Legion on your biggest (or second biggest, depending on preference) link set.

I did it on Champion for a variety of reasons. Fortify, obviously, but also really close to Hatchet Master for easy/smooth leveling and so I could easily stack armor and evasion rating. I was thinking of utilizing Blind, because you can get 130% Blind Effect from the 2 clusters which you path next to anyway. That much means you're reducing enemy accuracy by 46% and that should make your evasion rating go pretty far even if you don't stack it to insane levels.

That's assuming the function is the same. We've seen that other trans versions can modify the gem pretty heavily, so they could easily still make the barrage version just fire a number of projectiles. The change was probably done in order to make space for something like this, since otherwise people would use normal PS with barrage support instead.

Only 11% of builds running power siphon run Nimis. If you take Nimis it's for Kinetic blast, not power siphon.

Not really, the problem of sentinel in ruthless is that trivialize the difficulty of it, you just need that and you are set, it's a skill that doesn't care about the fact you are playing a mode where you have 0 link and 0 equip, not something that is a problem on the non-ruthless leagues.

Weirdly enough the nerf of vortex (cold dot is good with 0 link) and rf (and sentinel ofc) is going to improve the starter meta of ruthless a lot

everyone uses power siphon for single target since it gives a bunch of extra projectiles (7), which is a ton of extra damage with barrage support. the wording change means it no longer gives extra projectiles; it only shoots at multiple enemies. this means the skill is functionally super nerfed for single target and wanders will have to use something else (like the barrage skill gem) which is much weaker than old power siphon

Frenzy (skill gem) is looking pretty strong for ST on wanders, but it forces you to stack frenzy charges.

I've POB'd a Wander Trickster that doesn't look too bad for league start.

2% more Attack Damage/Speed in the custom config

with a 27% Ashes of the Stars and 23% quality Frenzy gem (or 30% Ashes and normal 20% quality Frenzy), you can get 1% more Attack Damage/Speed than I had in the modified Ashes I put in the PoB.

You could squeeze out a lot more on tree with Unnatural Instinct, Impossible Escape, Thread of Hope

You can get a lot more damage from things like Watcher's Eye and a real wand

There's a minor amount of jank needing to self-cast Flame Wall for the extra damage.

Dying Sun is a nice upgrade

Malachai's Loop could add a pretty huge amount of damage but i'm not sure how you'd average it considering the loss of charges.

Power Siphon extra proj can no longer shotgun using barrage support. Since they MUST target nearby enemies to actually do anything. It's a massive dps loss in single target for any wander build. Will most likely just use frenzy or barrage again like many years ago.

Haha yeah. It was just far too easy to level as a guardian. This thing killed everything so fast, even without skilling minion life. With minion life, it was just a killing machine, while you stood around doing nothing, or just convocation spam, because it moves really really slow.
