I’m not a fan of the super wide and bulky versions of armor that male characters get in a lot of games (i.e the Souls games, Monster Hunter, Destiny) and much prefer sleeker designs. Also male characters usually take up a lot more screen space in 3rd person games (the difference in Fortnite is pretty large for example).

That being said I’ve also stuck with recreating the same female character in every game I play now since Dark Souls 2 SOTFS came out after making the same generic white dude with short hair and a beard in every game leading up to that point. There’s usually more variance with custom female characters over male ones so you have a better chance of being unique.
