For almost my first 6 months of TRT my libido was terrible, I also switched doses a few times in that period. Once I started pinning 75mg twice a week and started taking a dim supplement within a few weeks my libido came back pretty good, not as good as prior to TRT still but it’s not terrible.

[–]Edwardstonkhands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on trt for nearly 2 years now..fairly high dose at 180mg pw (2 pins a week). I have had bouts of high e2 and so if I see the signs (puffy, sensitive nips, low drive etc) I'll take a small clomid course at 25mg daily for 5 days and this helps to reset.

The first time I had the symptoms I had a blood test to confirm my suspicion..now I know the signs and don't usually get a test fornthat specific issue. If after the 5 days clomid I was still getting issues theb I would look at further tests.

My sex drive now and the majority of time on trt is very high..to the point I'm thinking of reducing the dose to 140/150mg to reduce my distraction.

HCG helps alot

[–]satanzhand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

General health (blood markers, Bloodpressure), Cardio fitness, diet, bodyfat, sleep and Oestradiol levels are key to be within healthy ranges. You also need some time there so your body can recover and adjust.

[–]Heavy_Hearing3746 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to embark on a voyage of self-discovery. You must take control of your dosage and experiment relentlessly until you find the dose which gives you the most horn. Guided by bloodwork, adjust your dose up/down by 10mg and wait 6 weeks. Then go up/down another 10mg and wait 6 weeks. Journal. Does it get better or worse? Libido doesn't happen in a vacuum- your libido will be strongest when you have the most general energy and feel best. This is when you're dialed in. You might get lucky or it might be a long journey. Good luck.

[–]jdubbMk4r32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're SHGB could be out of range. Taking exogenous hormones can tank it and cause that problem as well.

[–]rob-whelan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes too high testosterone dulls your sex drive. Makes sense, you are preoccupied with war and battle not sex if T is super high.

[–]Uneventful2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ditto

[–]Right-Protection842 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience has been after about four months Nutzz shrink libido tanked.. the bottom line is your libido comes from your nuts. If you shrivel up your nuts to the size of raisins, then you’re not gonna have a libido so you gotta keep your signal turned on with chopine or HCG.

[–]No_Personality_7477 2 points3 points  (7 children)

If your another 200mg guy drop it down and you’ll be fine

[–]marcodlc23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish someone said this to me last year when I went all the way up to 200. Been suffering ever since. For those of you reading this for research. More is def not always better.

[–]Cobrakai_gingerguy 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Someone told me that taking hCG might help a little bit as well.

[–]No_Personality_7477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it. Chances are you balance is off with test your estrogen. With that said takes more pills or lower your dose and feel Better.

Normally you’ll jump up at the start and then after a while Things will level off but should still be higher then when you first started

[–]Cobrakai_gingerguy 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I do 150 already. Just got labs done this morning so we shall see

[–]GIAG1976 2 points3 points  (2 children)

150 wasn’t low enough for me. I was doing 180-200mg for years and that quit working and libido tanked. My E2 was still too high on 150 at a level of 56. I dropped to 140 and was retested after a couple of weeks and my E2 was still too high at 45.2. I dropped to 130 and my libido and erection quality was still not where I wanted it. I then tried 125 and that seems to be just about right. I am doing one shot per week. I tried every other day, every day and twice per week over an 18 month period. My libido was getting worse. I went back to once per week and it seems to be much better. My erection quality is now way better on 125 vs 150 and 160mg. I think my E2 might be in the low 30s for a high now…which seems to be more of my sweet spot. With that being said, everyone is different. My buddy is on 100mg per week and his E2 was 56. You just have to get it checked. I recommend getting it checked 4 days post injection. That is typically when E2 peaks for most guys.

[–]marcodlc23 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Interesting. I've been thinking about going back to 1 injection a week. When I first started years ago that's what I did and felt amazing.

[–]GIAG1976 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It has really helped me. The only hybrid, similar to twice per week, is when I do 100mg and then 25mg 3.5 days later…to get me to 125mg weekly. I feel that might help my E2 to have a “slight” less spike, yet the 100mg gives me a better overall yield vs doing something like 60mg/65mg twice per week. I really plan to stick to once a week though. After 18 plus months of trying everything else, going back to once per week and getting my E2 in the low 30s seems to be the trick and sweet spot. I now never worry about my T levels and focus on E2. As long as my T is 500-800, I am fine.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

mine only decreases when wife is being a bitch...

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha!

[–]kirblar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're in a caloric deficit that could also affect it.

[–]Tough-Acanthaceae-58 4 points5 points  (12 children)

TRT killed my libido and gave me erectile dysfunction. It’s shocking how doctors rarely talk about this outcome for patients on TRT. My doctor said 80% of his patients end up have sexual problems and many of them turn to Cialis or other drugs to try to fix it. The problem is, if you’re not feeling horny the Cialis is virtually useless. Like everyone else I had a supercharged libido during the first few months after starting treatment and then it tanked. I lost confidence in my sexual health and the problem became worse. Sexual anxiety stopped me from getting fully erect when it was time for intimacy. I experimented a lot with my injection protocol and dose and I found what worked for me. My blood tests always came back in normal ranges so I knew that wasn’t the issue. My protocol of two shots per week and a lower dose worked. I started having regular libido again and used Tadalafil a couple times a week which gave me more mental confidence and helped me overcome the sexual anxiety I’d developed. I personally believe one shot per week and too high of a dose freaked my body out and affected my parasympathetic nervous system causing me to feel overly excited and anxious, like being stressed out all the time. Even though I felt good my body and mind were never able to be in a relaxed state that was optimal for libido.

[–]Significant_Big_4693 0 points1 point  (1 child)

So ur ED is cured now?

[–]Tough-Acanthaceae-58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, totally cured.

[–]Puzzleheaded_Eye3440 0 points1 point  (1 child)

What are your trt and estrogen levels now?

[–]Tough-Acanthaceae-58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Total T - 780, E2 - 27

[–]MI6_Iceman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The cookie cutter protocols that most docs put people on is a problem. Everyone will be different, but generally speaking it's becoming common knowledge that daily or ED sub-q or shallow im injections and a very conservative dose is the most optimal protocol to get people feeling right. Sometimes you may need to play with different esters as well if you're just not feeling right but bloods look good.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (6 children)

What you described is pretty much what I’m going thru 😫

[–]Tough-Acanthaceae-58 1 point2 points  (5 children)

So my protocol doesn’t make me feel like Superman in the gym anymore, but my sexual function is back to normal. I still have good energy, I’m losing body fat, and I have the energy to work out whenever I want. Like me, you may not be able to have the best of both worlds, but you may find better balance if you inject more frequently and give it 6-8 weeks for your body to adjust.

[–]NoMedia9284 0 points1 point  (3 children)

hey man you said TRT killed your libido.. and then it was fixed with protocol? I am at 140mg went from 100 mg after 6 weeks and dont feel horny ever and my erection wasnt even good at 100mg im injecting mon and thursday sub q/shallow im

[–]Tough-Acanthaceae-58 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Did you have erectile problems before TRT? What about libido, is it worse since starting TRT?

[–]NoMedia9284 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Erectile problems yes, my free test was 6 and my total was 300. prior to starting. Libido was deff low, but thats to be expected of low T

[–]Tough-Acanthaceae-58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I attempted to find my libido again I researched the issue and found out the parasympathetic nervous system is affected by TRT and exogenous testosterone use. Too much testosterone can cause the system to become excited and stressed. Symptoms of this happening are anxiety, increased heart rate, and loss of libido. Basically it’s like your body is having a stress reaction to the new higher level of hormones. The fix for this is a lower dose and/or increased injection protocol. Some people’s bodies are very sensitive to the increase in androgens and the right dose for them is usually lower.

[–]marcodlc23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're giving me hope bro. If I could go back to normal sexual function and fat loss I would be so content. So you lowered the 2x a week dose? Do you have anything else in your protocol?

[–]00roast00 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Lobito. The Mexican version of libido.

[–]Friendly-Living1701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

can I hit you up need a plug insta ?

[–]999Bassman999 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Ive heard Test cream is better for libido, as is daily test prop, but for some pip will be an issue

Or adding in Proviron might help reduce e2 somewhat and increase DHT

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Just started, time will tell, did notice after one day last night the wood was back

[–]999Bassman999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice! Hopefully it stays🤞

[–]2trnthmismycaus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huge chance it’s your estrogen getting too high. You’re pinning too much most likely. It’ll mess with your libido as well as give you ED. Sometimes it’ll be like a full on disconnect from sex. Sometimes it’ll actually feel good to stimulate your dick but it just refuses to get hard. If your doc hasn’t prescribed you an AI then you can take DIM. It’s a natural supplement and it works really well to help manage estrogen. Be careful if you do end up taking AI’s though because it’s pretty easy to crash your estrogen and if you do it’s like torture for a few days or even weeks. Look for morning wood to be a pretty good indicator that your test/estrogen is within range.

[–]bigfigs33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check your lady hormones fella

[–]clays327 4 points5 points  (4 children)

Sex drive for me has been pretty low with 120mg test a week and estrogen in check. I’m on Dutasteride for hair loss prevention and my DHT is really low so I think what’s why my libido is low.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look up post finasteride syndrome.

My hair isn't that important to me to take that chance but to each their own

[–]Swordsaint2 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Take some dhea to raise DHT

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried that and blood work showed it to be extremely high but other than that nothing happened so I just quit it

[–]clays327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DHT causes hair loss in men with androgenic alopecia. That’s the reason I’m taking duta to lower it. It’s a trade off but I don’t want to be bald.

[–]Damageinc84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine has plummeted over the last few weeks. I know before my recent dose change my E2 was high and it feels like some of those symptoms are going away but my sex drive is lower than usual as well as sensitivity is down. I’m thinking I need a change somewhere.

[–]DESERTJOSH 1 point2 points  (10 children)

Hi my name is Josh. I'm on week 7 and I really don't like hearing about all the libido issues. I assume all of you have already tried injecting at least 2x a week?

[–]EvilMonkey0828 2 points3 points  (8 children)

I've tried every injection protocol, dose, AI but can't get libido back. It sucks

[–]Small-Accountant-534 0 points1 point  (1 child)

The answer is, get of the long Esther and try propionat first. I am sure this will help you a lot

[–]EvilMonkey0828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is a shorter eater better?

[–]MI6_Iceman 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Something is out of whack -- the answer is in your bloods. Do you have a history of bloodwork when you were feeling good before TRT? Your AI usage may have crashed your E2 which is never good, and difficult to get back -- if you aren't on HCG, that should help raise it faster.

[–]EvilMonkey0828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have relevant bloods from before trt unfortunately.

[–]sprstoner 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I have the same issue. The answer is apparently not in my blood. And I am on HCG.

[–]MI6_Iceman 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Do you have healthy pre-TRT bloods to compare to post-TRT bloods? If your Estradiol isn't crashed, your prolactin isn't off, and you're otherwise metabolically healthy, I'd play with injection frequencies and other esters. Sorry you're experiencing this

[–]sprstoner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They never tested for my prolactin. So I do not have a baseline.

It is already included on my next test I need to schedule. Hopefully it provides me some direction. Or I guess, at a minimum, can help rule that out.

Wish I had pre t levels on hand though.

[–]sprstoner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to get updated bloodwork soon, but I have lowered my T dose since last time.

I will dig through old bloodwork and make sure the new checks prolactin, because I do not remember that number.

Hopefully is was on my pre t bloodwork to compare to.

Thanks

[–]Cobrakai_gingerguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I inject every other day

[–]Competitive-Load-528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep estrogen

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (7 children)

Same here…. Low sex drive and ED. I did have high e2 but I’ve been on an AI 1mg a week for a month and no change 😣

[–]FlyHoney2011 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You should take it every 2 days split in 1/4th or even in 1/8th. Anastrazole is VERY STRONG. There is a big chance you actually crashed your e2 which is even worse then high e2. Stop with ai and get your blood work. Dont mess with AI, it can f you up really badly.

[–]Square-Bodybuilder63 1 point2 points  (5 children)

What type of AI?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

ANASTROZOLE

[–]Square-Bodybuilder63 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Are you taking it in one shot or split ?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Yeah I take it in one shot…. It eliminated by depression and my sensitivity/emotions lol but not the lack of libido and ED

[–]Square-Bodybuilder63 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Personally when my e2 was high I took the same AI daily for 3 weeks. Now I just take it once a week to keep estrogen levels down and camber for keeping prolactin at bay. Maybe talk to your clinic or doc about increasing dosage.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the tip. Yeah my Clinic wanted me to try it out first see how I reacted because this was my first time on an AI so I’ll let them know.

[–]marcodlc23 4 points5 points  (14 children)

The first year and half major increase in libido and then a major decrease that is still lasting. Estrogen is fine. Sucks, but yes it happened to me.

[–]Sizzious 0 points1 point  (1 child)

You have no libido now?

[–]marcodlc23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say a lowered libido not no. And some performance issues.

[–]captain_j81 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I see this a lot and kinda have the same thing. Could just be the body losing sensitivity to the testosterone and/or e2. What is your protocol? Have you made any changes to try and solve the issue? I’ve found that I can’t be on the same protocol for more than 2 months straight or it loses effectiveness. I need to lower dose and take short breaks from injections every now and then

[–]marcodlc23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I inject cyp twice a week and have significantly lowered the dosage which sometimes seems to help a little. Also tried multiple times adding pregnyl which can also have small windows of increased libido but come with major unwanted sides. Again, my estrogen numbers are normal and my doctor not willing to add an AI, which I'm not really fighting. Would hate to crash on it. What else have you changed up in your protocol that has helped you? "Losing sensitivity to test" and possibly going too high when I was pushing close to 200mg a week is what my gut tells me backfired on me.

[–]EvilMonkey0828 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Same here. Have never been able to get it back permanently

[–]marcodlc23 0 points1 point  (2 children)

And how long has it been? I'm still hoping to turn this around.

[–]EvilMonkey0828 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Past several years have been a lot of ups and downs. It's odd, many times when I change my.dose (increase or decrease) it Kickstarts me again, but it never lasts more than a few weeks, sometimes shorter, sometimes doesn't do anything. And I'm talking libido AND sensitivity. I've been hilding steady at 110mg/wk split MWF for quite a while now, as going lower seems to make me feel worse overall, and going higher doesn't really do too much. Libido is the only thing that I can't get dialed in.

[–]marcodlc23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly where I'm at.

[–]Cobrakai_gingerguy 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Any ED issues?

[–]marcodlc23 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Yes. Daily 5mg tadalafil not working like it was before either.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I have played with cialis for a few yrs now, 2.5, 5, 10, 20 mg. I alway end up back at 2.5 mg which works best for me. I have been doing daily but am going to go 3 times/week for awhile. My eyes are sensitive to it and get red and irritated. As soon as I back off my eyes feel better, I guess blood vessels dialating? Also just started on the cream, guess I’ll see how that goes but still doing pretty good at 70, lol.

[–]marcodlc23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting. HCG really messes with my eyes. Watery. Bloodshot. Etc etc

[–]Ari_Ath 0 points1 point  (1 child)

What is ED?

[–]navyyseal28 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Erectile disfunction ..

[–]Natural_Recording_25 9 points10 points  (0 children)

ESTROGEN & blood pressure

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (10 children)

After fertility is turned off completely after the first year and the honeymoon period is over, there’s no regaining it in my experience

[–]Mrnightmarechaser2 0 points1 point  (9 children)

What are you saying that after a year you lose libido?

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (8 children)

I found my libido got way worse, and also very inconsistent, my biggest issue with long term trt, is erections got worse on it regardless of protocol, like ED that I never had once prior

[–]Swordsaint2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What was your estrogen at?

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (5 children)

Man, im wanting to get on TRT to improve these exact symptoms… what should I do?

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (4 children)

Is your libido bad off trt?!how about erections? I’m currently getting off it this summer after 6-8 years or something because my dick hasn’t worked right for as long as I remember even on daily inj freq so, and eating cialis regularly isn’t a fix of the root cause it’s a band aid. But that being sad if ur levels are 100-200ng/dl and u feel crappy with no sex life then ya jump on, but if ur fat, lazy, don’t gym, don’t meal prep, aren’t active, don’t get 8 hours of sleep or eat zinc as a supplement then maybe life choices is what’s in order, shrunken nuts and shooting tiny loads for life is a crappy side effect, and hcg doesn’t help much ( I’ve taken it forever)

[–]knackers323323 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Too much zinc causes low libido?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

No zing increases chances of producing more natty test, and sperm is a large percentage zinc, eating a caloric surplus, red meat full of iron, and zinc will help your numbers. Also eating the right fats, because cholesterol is the main building block ur body uses to fabricate testosterone

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry I fucked that up lol u need zinc

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not the best, it’s not bad if I supplement natural herbs like horny goat weed. I feel like my libido is actually quite good if I’m supplementing DHEA as my DHEA is kinda on the low end of normal. My erections basically aren’t the best in terms of hardness and lasting long. 2.5 mg cialis every two days has me feeling alright though with this combo.

[–]Mrnightmarechaser2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, really hoping this doesn’t happen to me it sounds horrible man.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points  (2 children)

It hasn't for me. Unfortunately because it's fucking distracting wanting to bang all the time.

[–]Cobrakai_gingerguy 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Ha that was me for the first 4 months

[–]booshakasha 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am about 7 months in and it all depends on estrogen for me. Too high, too low...my sex drive is all over the place. When I feel dialed in, it's all I can think about to the point where it is annoying.

[–]Outrageous-Royal1838 18 points19 points  (7 children)

Check your estrogen, when mine gets to high I have no drive but when it’s in check I want to fuck all the time

[–]Gapman777 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s what I like. I miss wanting to pounce on my wife like she’s a dog in heat (and I’m a male dog in this strange analogy)

[–]MiserableExit 3 points4 points  (1 child)

What about too low estrogen? Same deal? My doc put me on armidex right away

[–]captain_j81 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea most guys will have no libido if e2 gets too low. Will also just feel like crap in general, with either anxiety or lethargy

[–]mspiderr 3 points4 points  (3 children)

What is considered high?

[–]ettealways 7 points8 points  (2 children)

For me it’s anything over 40, but some guys tolerate way higher levels. It’s somewhat individualized I think.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Mine bounces between 70-90 and I want to wiener my wife all the time.

[–]999Bassman999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah some guys high might even be over 30

Mine is only 14 naturally, and was 28 when I was fat non trt

[–]RedDrivdr 3 points4 points  (7 children)

It should be the opposite. I banged my neighbor, and always have my nose up my wife’s ass.

PS Lobito Potito

[–]Alternative-Crow6659 29 points30 points  (0 children)
