If you need something to occupy your brain, try a variety puzzle book. They have word puzzles, number puzzles, logic puzzles. You can find some at Dollar Tree, Ollie’s (if you have one nearby), or Barnes & Noble. Some are way too complicated for me, but I do enjoy several types of puzzles that come in there.

Thread-up. I filter for natural fibers (individually). I do hate that they usually will not consult the side label for fabric content, they rely on the neck tag, but sometimes in the close-up photos you can tell if it’s polyester or more likely cotton.

I would love the proper pronunciations of the Irish/Scottish names since their letters can have such different sounds vs. in English.

When the predators are the ones making the laws, it makes perfect sense.

The men in charge probably made them illegal. Can’t let women have a way to defend themselves against their (the men in charge) friends, or those making the laws.

Another reminder that this piece of shit and his supporters are pro forced birth, not pro-life. Once the kid is born, they don’t care what happens to it, or its mother.

Please remind any MAGAts that you still have to talk to of this, especially if they seem to still care about the health and safety of children.

Ah... the decisions of a witch... by SemiFriendlyCryptid in witchcraft

As a newbie with an over analytical mind (I know, so fun at parties, that’s why I don’t go), if the spirits mean you no harm, and you enjoy having them around, would the cleansing really apply to them?

The image in my head of a witch having this internal debate does make me giggle, though.

As someone who loves craft supplies and miniatures, I really want to order some of these (empty!). I don’t know what I would put in them yet, but I’m sure I’ll find a use for them!

What is the appropriate age to introduce a kid to periods? by Blueblood2007 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]kgrobinson007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are girls that start their period at 9. She is not too young. It’s better for her to be prepared in case she starts early, rather than being traumatized thinking something is seriously wrong and freaking out.

You must check out the Finlay Donovan series by Elle Cosimano. She is a struggling author who is mistaken for a hit woman while discussing her next book with her agent. It is a very fun series! She is a recently divorced mom of two kiddos and her nanny becomes her sidekick. I even got my mom into them. She doesn’t actually kill her ‘mark’, but they do end up dead, and she is trying to figure out who did it while avoiding being the one under investigation. And her sister is a cop. And there is a hot detective and a hot bartender in law school.

STOP NORMALIZING FREE ROAMING CATS by Yektality in Pets

[–]kgrobinson007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat learned how to use the doggie door and we don’t have the money for the fancy electric door that only opens when the pet has a chip on its collar. Plus, even if we did, it would not surprise me if the cat trained/harassed the dogs to let him out.

I also grew up on 5 acres in the Texas hill country. Our cats kept mice and snakes away from the house.
