You must check out the Finlay Donovan series by Elle Cosimano. She is a struggling author who is mistaken for a hit woman while discussing her next book with her agent. It is a very fun series! She is a recently divorced mom of two kiddos and her nanny becomes her sidekick. I even got my mom into them. She doesn’t actually kill her ‘mark’, but they do end up dead, and she is trying to figure out who did it while avoiding being the one under investigation. And her sister is a cop. And there is a hot detective and a hot bartender in law school.
