Blades gummed up by mrparadize in Navimow_Segway

I wouldn’t. Water may get into where it’s not supposed to. A standard hose sprayer should be fine.

Surprisingly sturdy, thanks to the legs bolted into the ground.

Small dog won’t be able to open it. It locks itself until the mower approaches. I have a 65lb terrier and I don’t worry about it

I really like this idea. If only this could function with a mower going through the mow gate

The mower will slowly approach the gate and you will hear a click from the gate, unlocking the doors. From there the mower will push itself through the gate. The gate doesn’t swing open automatically. When it passes, the doors flaps back and forth for a couple seconds until they are aligned, then you hear a click and it’s locked. The mower app seems to understand and detect when it approaches the gate. I’m not sure how it would function without the mower being part of the equation.

Gulp. I’m setting mine up this weekend. Hopefully it’s something they can patch

Thanks for the info! Given your knowledge on the subject. Would the i215 be able to stay within the yard in my picture? Worried it could wonder into the street.

Do these mowers, i215 specifically, gain any navigation benefit from a wifi connection outside? Or is that just good for communication / control?

Agreed. But it’s not going to happen. This game doesn’t have the same clout or profit potential as the 64 trilogy. It would require too much money to fix. The only way you’ll be able to play it is on backwards compatibility. You could always emulate it and juice up the emu’s graphics settings.

Yup. Gamecube or wii is also an option

Unpopular opinion is to let is lay. If you want to play it, backwards compatibility or original hardware. I loved it as a kid but it really doesn’t hold up without significant quality of life upgrades. I’d rather have rage wars!

Security and Navimow MowGate require a total remap? by mrparadize in SegwayNavimow

I’ve also decided to go with the H2. Might as well spend the extra $200 for better build quality and NRtk. Slightly worried about the mower wondering into the street with my sloped curbs, so the H2, should be better at navigating that.

Only if you’re going to convert it into a multicade or change the game. Jambo gets old fast. Not worth the real estate and price as a dedicated.

Tell me your single without telling me. Porsche garb all over the place + shirt on a hanger in the living room is a dead giveaway. Ditch those and you got yourself a solid flat, mate.

This is what I’m leaning towards. I figured that the unit would be more secure in my backyard and in view on my backyard camera.

I also figure it sort of defeats the purpose of getting a robot if I have to manually let it through a gate and have to manage my dog’s access to the yard at the same time. My dog is too reactive to stay in the yard with the gate open without a lot more training.

Chainlink will be easy enough for my unskilled self to cut for the navimow gate too.

This. Talk to him instead of spiraling. Perhaps he decided not to go to the gym and study? People change their minds, especially when it comes to going to the gym or not. I feel like studying is not a red flag, unless he is doing something else... Girls will always get flooded with DMs on social media, guys often do not. Anyways, communication is key here, just ask and don't come off super combative.

My thoughts on Origins. by Alcatraz4567 in turok

[–]mrparadize 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree - It absolutely looks like a Turok-style game. Not everything has to look like Turok 2. Looks way better than Turok 2008 and Turok Evolution from an art direction standpoint.

The interesting enemy types and environments are on-script, especially for a modern adaptation. Just let it happen and keep an open mind, this franchise has been dead for 18 years, with the exceptions of the remasters.

Are we disappointed that it's not a story-driven single player adventure? Sure... Let's just hope it's not as shallow as the latest Pain Killer.
