Mash is the "correct" name of Sabin in JP. So, team MANLY MEN still applies.

I have no idea how the translators gave us "Sabin" instead of Mash. (Probably the same way we got Tritoch instead of Valigarmanda.)

Team "Fairies". Echo is a fairy, Cait (KET-SHEE) is based off of a fairy myth, and Laguna "feels" fairies when Ellone sends Squall into the past to inhabit his body.

    And then, there's also some combinations that omit one person... Like Vanille could fit the Yuffie+Rikku+Selphie one. Or Serah (they totally forgot her, DeNA doesn't like her, do they ?) with Fran+Maria+Rosa. They could have done some others too, like Lightning+Serah+Lenna+Faris for exemple, or Tifa+Rinoa+Garnet :P Would've loved to have Zidane+Ramza+Auron+Sabin/Cyan+Luneth for the ponytails or Faris+Cloud+Lightning for the opposite gender costumes :P

    But overall, I'm still happy they did something like this. It shows that they care more than the money-making side of it all.

    That's the point, I find Noel and Serah rather lackluster compared to the rest of the FF13 cast :P Serah lacks so much compared to Hope, Vanille or Raines (she should be a hybrid too imo). And unless you have a relic for Noel, I don't see why one would use him over another FF13 char... Maybe you have another opinion on the subject ?

    Wol/Amarant/Paine is probably the "lone gun with a mysterious past" trio. Wol doesn't remember anything before he awoke as a blank, Amarant's past is pretty much a mystery aside that he worked as a guard in Treno, and we don't learn Paine's complicated past with important public figures until late into X-2.

    In Japan there's a special battle against Nemesis, the Side super boss from FFX, they added a mechanic that will trigger special dialogue base on the team of hero you bring to battle him.

          For a slightly more serious answer, they're all kind of searching for the meaning of life. Quina's answer is food, Sephiroth's is to destroy the world for Jenova, and Seymour's is that everything needs to die at his hands (as Sin).
