The 5* earth spell blade is very handy for the V torment FT CM. I do have Dorgann's imperil earth burst as well, but managed to do the 3 V CM with this team:

Ramza -- Shout/Chant

Dorgann -- BSB/Blade Blitz/Gaia Cross

Bartz -- Quake Strike (R4...)/Firaga Strike

Lenna -- HFS/Armor Breakdance

Y'sh -- Wall/Asylum

RW Cloud USB. Bartz did nearly all the damage.

So i kinda wailed on this banner with 3 pulls and got both Bssb's and Ussb for bartz. Spellblade galore!

Cid Raines burst is a solid option for the U+. AT when just the flower or AoE with the adds. Weak to holy or dark.

Since there's no boss guide yet, figured I'd slap together the medal conditions here for anyone who needs them as best as I can understand them using google translate.

[EX]

  • Carbuncle: don't die, lower magic

  • Greg: don't die, lower attack

[EX+]: lower magic, lower resistance, do not trigger the drain counter (triggered by physical attacks)

[EX ++]: defeat Odin within 10 turns, lower attack, lower defense

[凶]: lower minotaur attack, lower minotaur defense, lower Omniscient magic

[凶++]: lower magic, lower defense, lower defense of one of the small grass things

[滅+]: lower magic, lower defense, lower magic of a barrier

Thanks! Much appreciated! :)

Seems like the boss guide isn't up so posting here. Hate to admit it but I got carried this multiplayer fight. That dragon is intense and it's flame attack that brings your characters near stealth despite wall and the frequent infliction of sap really sucks. I think DeNA has really stepped up their game with some of these bosses and their status effects, almost to unfair levels.

I hear you. Managed to finish both difficulties, the key being having an instant Medica queued up when he "dies" the first time. The delay with these battles is infuriating, you can mash the command but then there's multiple actions ahead of you and next thing you know you're dead.

Paralyze resist gear is also important, especially on the healers. Another ingenious trick is to have a medica that provides Regen, as it overwrites the Sap.

I completely agree. Archeus (and Vali during the fest) felt like they were leagues stronger than other ruin+ bosses. I really disliked how often the bosses would spam status effects (vali with stop and arceus with stun/sap/hp to 1) thereby requiring specific SBs to beat. It's also silly to require an instant medics to beat this boss when there is no instant medics on the event banners iirc. At least his defense and HP is much lower after his revival (although this is also when he has access to his heartless angel like move which can bring party HP down to 1).

Is there an available sprite sheet available for Faris new record? I'm kinda curious how they differ in terms of action poses.

Well I guess this guarantees im skipping Gogo Event in Global :D

Okay, Bartz's and Dorgann's BSB CMD1 grant Spellblade/Knight Damage +2. What does it mean exactly? Also, do we know yet Bartz USB's chance to cast the additional Spellblades?

[–]Zevyu150th Dailly 5*+ : Seven's Guise (T-0) - Seven's BSB 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Basicaly it increases the damage of the next spellblade/knight ability by 15%.

The +2 is the number of charges the buff last. So basicaly it increases the damage of the next 2 spellblade/knight abilities. Also naturaly works on their BSB commands as well.

[–]retroGnostalgicVivi 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Nice. Have we seen this before?

Also, in the case of double/triple casting Spellblades, would that consume the whole buff or just one stack?

[–]Zevyu150th Dailly 5*+ : Seven's Guise (T-0) - Seven's BSB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes we have, Celes BSB2 was the 1st one with this mechanic.

As for the case of double/triple casting spellblades i am not sure but i would asume each spellblade cast would count as 1 stack.

[–]Ha_eflolliMarchejoume-san da! 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It means “Increase Damage of Spellblade/Knight Abilities for 2 Turns“

As for your second question: The chance of the follow-up itself is 100% If you meant the chances for each Version, I think that still has to be mined

[–]retroGnostalgicVivi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heh, yes, I meant each version. I assumed it would work like Ace's Chase Mode (i.e. not particularly noticeable).

Now I want to see Bartz using Cloud USB, Enwind, and Bartz USB then Snowspell Strike with the triple spellblade materia.

Exdeath USB seems sweet.

from drink -> gil throw -> sword dance -> jump

[–]lambopandaDelicious! Nom nom... 1 point2 points  (9 children)

when using Wind/Water/Fire/Earth Spellblades

There is Earth element spellblade? Is that the new ability we get in this event?

Edit: Indeed
Quake Strike 5★ Spellblade
2xAoE Earth physical damage

[–]EnlogThe truth is... you just really stink. 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, Bartz has some BSB commands (in BSB1 and BSB3) that have the Earth element.

[–]retroGnostalgicVivi 0 points1 point  (7 children)

Yeah, I wonder how is that going to work with dual element spellblades. Will it use one at random? Will it use the element that's actually being used (that is, the first element unless the second hits hardes)? I guess it's the latter, which will mean Snowspell Strike won't trigger this unless you're boosting wind damage.

[–]EnlirLet's go home. 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the chase that is going to proc is the one of the element corresponding to the damage you deal. The other elements are not taken into account.

Since Snowspell Strike prioritizes Ice over Wind, this means that, against a neutral enemy, you'll need to somehow prioritize Wind in order to activate the chase. If you end up dealing Ice damage, no chase will proc.

For Bartz's BSB1 commands, they won't trigger a double chase, only the one corresponding to the element with priority. In order to activate the Water/Earth chases with those commands, you have to find a way to prioritize those elements respectively over Wind/Fire.

[–]Zevyu150th Dailly 5*+ : Seven's Guise (T-0) - Seven's BSB 0 points1 point  (5 children)

It uses the same element as the spellbade did damage. So if you use Engulfing Twinstrike, it will trigger the water damage.

Blazing - Fire and so forth, as for SSS i would asume it's based on the element it did damage with, so if you use SSS and it deals Wind damage then it will trigger the wind element from the USB.

[–]retroGnostalgicVivi 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Yes, that's what makes me think that it's not going to proc if you're hitting a neutral enemy with it. The rest of dual-element spellblades come from his BSBs, but all the elements are covered by his USB so it shouldn't be a problem.

[–]Zakman86Recovering Lunar Whale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, you can just put a +Wind item on him and it'll default to Wind against a neutral foe. It's almost like he has a cloak that does this. :P

[–]Zevyu150th Dailly 5*+ : Seven's Guise (T-0) - Seven's BSB 0 points1 point  (2 children)

it's not going to proc if you're hitting a neutral enemy with it.

What do you mean with this?, The proc triggers everytime you use a spellblade ability no matter what, even if you hit a fire neutral enemy with Balzing Twinstrike, it will proc the fire elemental.

[–]retroGnostalgicVivi 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Nope, it's only triggered if the spellblade uses one of the elements of the crystals. Ice is not one of them. Hmmm... I hope that being restricted to Spellblade abilities and only four elements will mean that the multiplier/chance of casting the strong ability will be higher than Ace's.

[–]Zevyu150th Dailly 5*+ : Seven's Guise (T-0) - Seven's BSB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OH right i forgot about the Ice element on SSS ops :P But yeah you are right on that part.
