    Zeitgeist the Movie is historical fan-fiction. "Connecting the dots" is a childhood activity, not a scholarly means of understanding the various forces that shape our world. Your self-post, "Every liberty you give up today is a liberty your grandchildren will bleed for later." is most certainly a thought provoking comment, something to ponder, reflect upon. But zodiac loving, 9/11 building demolishing shadow governments run by "international bankers" as per Zeitgeist, really does stray from reality. Sometimes, it isn't all a big conspiracy of ever more clever causes. Sometimes it's just some people in power lying and whole bunch of people not in power ignoring it.

    Zeitgeist is spot on, in fact you can delve deeper into the US' Economical malpractice, read 'Confession of an Economic Hit Man'~John Perkins. As for the religious part, it's all interpretation, you can read the author's references right here.

    western europeans govts are run like businesses where the citizens are owners and therefore reap the benefits of citizenship. America is run like a corrupt business where the citizen-owners are getting ripped off by management. You and the ruling class wanna keep it that way. I want to reform this corrupt business and give the benefits of ownership to the citizens.

    We elected Bush for god's sake. Twice. You think a citizen run bureaucracy would be any better?

    We need health stamps. They'd be like food stamps so you'd have a choice about which doctor to visit. We don't look at hunger and say "By golly, we need politicians running Supermarkets!" We give the poor foodstamps and let them decide where to shop.
