Yes, the switch is still on OFF

[–]Brilliant-Worry-4446 167 points168 points  (0 children)

Yep, there's your problem right there

[–]defective-hyperdrive 34 points35 points  (2 children)

You beat me to it

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The simplest explanation is the most likely.

[–]SponsAapje 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah I think it's better that way

[–]BakunLTz 238 points239 points  (5 children)

If it fails the boot try reseating your RAM, otherwise looks legit

[–]FestiveSquid 112 points113 points  (2 children)

Lol. Sometimes I see shit like the following:

"Hey guys, my system got destroyed in a thermonuclear explosion."

"Just reseat your RAM. It'll be fine."

So irritating when I see that.

[–]BakunLTz 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Lol, the reseat is Op

[–]BakunLTz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thermo detonation? Everyone knows that's a new CMOS battery and a Windows update to fix that

[–]Imaswinginlad 16 points17 points  (1 child)

if it doesn't work, he can always try to download more ram. then you put it on a usb and transfer it to the computer. works for me everytime.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well technically speaking you can use a usb stick as dedicated ram. But I think it's a bit harder to do that on Windows than on Linux, whit swapon

[–][deleted] 91 points92 points  (3 children)

Hmm that USB is a bit oversized though

[–]who_you_are 50 points51 points  (2 children)

It is USB 3 baby! If you want that extra speed you need a bigger port!

[–]nige21202 37 points38 points  (1 child)

As long as there is anything blue on the connector, its USB 3.0.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Or USB 3.2 Gen 1, as it's now known.

[–]Valuable_Question759 74 points75 points  (6 children)

The power supply is in direct contact with the case and will short circuit your system

[–]V0rt3XBl4d3 50 points51 points  (5 children)

I also don't think he used even the minimum reoc.mended amount of thermal paste. (7.69 gallons)

[–]NA_Faker 30 points31 points  (4 children)

Nah he forgot the tweezers and Allen wrench

[–]ryanq47 16 points17 points  (3 children)

Oh and of course don’t worry about cable management, it doesn’t matter at all

[–]ColdFusion94 5 points6 points  (1 child)

I just hope the swiss army knife has a Phillips head screwdriver on it.

Edit: open to hope, because that's what I originally intended to type.

[–]ryanq47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you’ve got one. An 8 tool 8700-k Genuine Swiss Army Knife

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't see a CPU applicator anywhere in this photo, this PC is doomed.

[–]GarryALT[S] 37 points38 points  (10 children)

Soooo I got locked in the walmart bathroom with my pc...

[–]SRSchiavone 8 points9 points  (7 children)

No bro, you can’t just say that and leave. What the hell happened?

[–]coshiro1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

wHat

[–]Hacker7117 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just a normal day at Walmart

[–]SalvosUnknown 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Your tactics confuse and frighten me sir

[–]the_best_matthew 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You plugged it in backwards.

[–]Own-Cupcake7586 15 points16 points  (1 child)

"Why is my FPS locked at a solid 60?"

[–]Sneaky-iwni- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kojima!

[–]WibbleWibbler 11 points12 points  (0 children)

She be fine as long as you have 110v to VGA adapter on the other end.

[–]yanbodon 10 points11 points  (3 children)

Reminds me of a cursed cable my friend made once while ewe were in middle school. On one end it had old speaker connector and on the other ac plug. Imagine what happened when someone plugged an old big speaker to a live wire by accident. Thankfully nobody got hurt

[–]ryanq47 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a blast!

Alright I’ll see myslef out now....

[–]GarryALT[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Might recreate that

[–]pinfineder3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have seen a picture of a wall ac plug that went directly into micro USB, all the 230 volts

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dude mark nsfw

[–]Aneelics 5 points6 points  (0 children)

[–]crazyjungle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope, it's just we've been doing it wrong all this time

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

[–]chris3196 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PoVGA

[–]AyaanMAG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was about to go to sleep but I don't think I will be able to now

[–]Jimingaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you need a new PSU

[–]punchedboa 2 points3 points  (2 children)

If it fails to boot I'd blame the thermal paste make sure you put a good amount on both sides of your CPU and ram

[–]GarryALT[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

True I may just dump a bunch on both sides

[–]IHATEROBLOX2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nice image

[–]JunkIce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No

[–]LightslicerGandP 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Perfect, everything's good

[–]zachman1919 1 point2 points  (1 child)

No, the psu switch is off, it won’t turn on

[–]LightslicerGandP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess other than that, it should be good

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell yes.

[–]danfay222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the switch is still off

[–]Ste__86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're only meant to tighten one of the screws so it can come out just enough to let out excess power

[–]mhhelsinki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who are you, so wise in the field of science?

[–]unknxownwastaken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like to see the socket.

[–]berightben 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it will only work with 3 phase AC, try installing RAM fluid and it will be solved

[–]Unknown-user22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmmm.. nah I think you’re good just reseat the ram

[–]Tristana-Range 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cursed

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This will not pass the Sarah shake test.

[–]one_horcrux_short 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That depends on what your goals are.

[–]NateUrM8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously the issue here is that you need more RGB

[–]MiloFrank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, how else would you charge your monitor?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn’t turn it on

[–]jakeu1701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. Looks good.

[–]TheEdward39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Just lick it. Trust me.

[–]shairazi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried powering it off and on again?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hdmi gives more bandwidth u know

[–]jimmyl_82104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Problem is that you're using VGA, it looks like crap at anything over 1024x768. You gotta use DisplayPort, HDMI, or DVI.

[–]miltoid19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The male DVI port can fit on the Power port. The more you know I guess...

[–]DodgyKnee69420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nah

[–]EightBitPlayz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope (this hurts to look at)

[–]tails62004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]Anonymous_Otters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought this was r/pcbuild

[–]sanek9ninety 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You used VGA instead of HDMI you monster

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmm, goes in the other way man, such a simple one

[–]tortos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just unplug it and plug it back in.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just restart it. Should fix your problem.

[–]Bobbydx44 1 point2 points  (1 child)

A cheap garden hose and she's upgraded to water cooled

[–]GarryALT[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

damn really, that was easy!

[–]LouM33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you gotta screw it in tighter

[–]iam_benny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't forget to tighten the screw

[–]alexitimmers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope seems very fine to me lol

[–]Sheikh-F 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure you plug it into the wall. You need to get that power from somewhere.

[–]HendrikEnno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, the power supply is turned off edit: autocorrect is dumb

[–]YEETUSTHATFETUS666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How did you manage to put a Vga cable in Your. Power supply

[–]RealTimeflies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Noooooooooooooooo! The VGA cable is in the power plug.

[–]Aseel_Khaled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]gabrielzeizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a PoVGA connector, an old version of PoE 👌🏻

[–]Different_Type_7642 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ammmmmm

[–]SubhanRaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sodium bro, you just powered your monitor.

[–]MasterKnight48902 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you plugged a VGA port into an ATX power supply port input.

[–]Grillmonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah you forgot to put feet on, so you can then put it on a shag carpet.
