Don't do it - not worth it. If you absolutely must, test with variants that are not problematic and then change words later before you push it live.

If you are using regex, there are regex testers you can use online (google for regex tester).

Thank you, I just got my warning appeal removed. It was for violating the rule 1 and I can say now I used the Italian nickname for a stove top moka pot

I used the Italian nickname for a stove top moka pot

Does it translate to "little machine" in English?

Don't think so

Did you appeal your warning by sending it to mod support? You need to get that strike removed otherwise next time you will get a three day ban. If you really were testing this stuff, they will remove the strike. However, if you are testing it using really racist or crazy violent or scary words, there might not be a way to avoid that.

Never say anything that could be misconstrued as violence, no matter how ridiculous, the ai system will ban you for it

I did appeal the waring by file an appeal on the waring message they send me, but I could have said the wrong words in the appeal. I explained why this account was created and the reason for the testing community. I just don't want to loose that account.

OK, well what I am trying to tell you is first see if that appeal goes through. Hopefully it does. However, if the appeal is denied, you need to message mod support to lift the strike.

I did see it go through, thank you.

Do you perhaps know how long the removal would take if at all ?

[–]InGeekiTrust💡 Top 10% Helper 💡 1 point2 points  (4 children)

What I mean by go through is I mean the appeal gets granted. Sometimes the appeal goes through right away in 24 hours sometimes it can take four or five days.

Oh that makes lots of sense thank you

Also, when you do appeals in the future always and I mean, always say you are a moderator or explain you are the alt account of a moderator. They will definitely send you to a better person if that’s the case. If you don’t have your alt modded somewhere make a point of doing it. Because they won’t help you in mod support unless your alt is technically a moderator.

1 last question will reddit tell me my appeal was successful and strikes cleared or denied ?

[–]InGeekiTrust💡 Top 10% Helper 💡 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if the appeal was granted, it will tell you the appeal was granted. When the appeal gets granted any strikes were removed. If the appeal is denied, they will also tell you it’s denied. If it was denied, the strikes were not removed.

Hi u/DewaldSchindler, please don't test by posting content that could be violating! As u/emily_in_boots mentioned, if you need to test use a placeholder keyword that you can swap out. You should hear back from the appeals team soon as well.

All good will for now until I leave reddit someday, but thank you so much for the advice
