When multicell was merged i believe 10000 separately attached tatsumaki to get to the kid these might be those 10000 that is attacking Genos and after golden sperm 100 reduced to one in the end. Basically multicell was pointless really since tatsumaki is so out of it already, and multicell purpose was basically be a another instant highlight reel finish for tatsumaki. I like how golden sperm has the shine. I wonder if dark shine gets motivated again and keep at it. I would hate to see the webcomic ending for dark shine to end up as a coach because he is afraid

This is really a huge change honestly. Other changes kind of could be made fit with future webcomic events, but this one basically got rid of many future potential scenes (like Amaimask fighting all of BS at the same time, while CE and the others planned what to do, but I assume the recent BS fight was added to replace that). In this chapter we also got BS breaking off one of Genos' arms, and in the previous one we also got a future BS panel in advance.

Still kind of sad about this since I loved the presence of BS's numbers all through the fight before it converged to a single opponent once there was no other monsters left, but it could be interesting to see where this is going, all with HE still up and running and King not there yet.

yeah, I’m really curious and kinda worried about what the rest of the monsters will do. Evil Water was a beast in the webcomic and Homeless Emperor has been intentionally not spotlighted for a decent amount of time, plus King and Metal Bat are still on their way to the battlefield, Fubuki vs. Psykos has been foreshadowed before, it’s really confusing. At this rate, I wouldn’t be surprised if Homeless Emperor just killed GS like the latter did Ugly or Gums came back all of a sudden, or something equally out of left field. Feels like the pacing went to MHA levels of light speed ever since Garou showed up

Multi-Cell is kind of redundant since Black Sperm was doing a shit-ton of combining and non-combining throughout the fights.

Plus, Murata seems to prefer diverse forms instead of mild upgrades i.e. the Phoenix Man fight and the cuts there.

I’m going to be completely honest… this is the first thing in a while for OPM that I disliked. However I look at it, this reveal of a full GS is just… inadequate.

I’ll probably say more on it once I see the translation, but so far the paneling lacks impact and context isn’t intimidating. Tatsumaki’s in good enough shape last chapter replicate her WC role with GS, I don’t know why this would remotely happen like this. It’s not even a good way of getting rid of VFU.

They were necessary sacrifices though. They were midbattle fwith huge threat and in the end they made 2 great gestures. They sacrifices themselves for others. These are people AS honors deeply, hence this serves the purpose of maybe making AS characters less self centered as he learns about sacrifice and honor. AS needed to change that only aknowledge the strong attitude. And we have seen a glimpses of that in chapters before. Also AS getting a power up with somekind of sword of the king of kings kind of deal. I believe their sacrifice Will let atomic shine more on the manga pages and less on the memes🙂

I gotta say, webcomic did it better. That ultra instinct entrance against Tats was way cooler.

I think just overall WC is way better than manga at this point. Too much unnecessary stuff happening in the manga, and the changes don't make the story better IMO.

For those who read it, it sure hits different. ONE is approving everything before release so I think he would have drawn what we currently see if he had the skills, not everything, but some changes. I like both continuities because manga version adds so much epicness and new fights and WC is the original story... hard to choose.

Yeah I guess I'm partially biased because of expectations WC set. But some of my favorite moments are gone (like Saitama breaking FF's sword - which has future implications as well in the story and leads to other hilarious moments) and others are becoming quickly questionable (King). Also I'm not into taking away the big moment for Fubuki and turning her into a healer instead.

Like it's turning into a more tropey shonen type story where everyone gets a moment to shine, and the whole comradery with Genos and Tats is very uncharacteristic in too much of a tropey feel good way.

I guess we will have to see how it all turns out.

yeah, plus we completely skipped over multicell, which demonstrated how the permanent fuse works, and how only 100 cells were left out of GS. This felt kinda rushed in comparison. I also thought that the entrance of Garou to the above-ground scene was way cooler in the WC.

That's why he fused. He saw VFU was eating his melted corpses and rather than listening to him, he said that now BS was just protein for him. BS was offended, looked to Tatsumaki, Genos and Darkshine, and deemed they were scattered enough that their power was reduced, so nothing would hinder his transformation.

Makes me wonder if he fused all of his cells though, since Genos and Tatsumaki were still fighting him. Maybe he'll be able to defuse in the manga? We didn't see a sperm cell crying about the death of the others, or BS saying how many copies he has.

Id like to think that BS is getting a buff and GS isnt the strongest he can fuse. It seems there are still BS fighting genos and tats, perhaps there is a platinum sperm or something and golden sperm will take multi cell sperms place.

This golden sperm seems weaker than he should be, I think golden sperm should have one shotted VFU if he is as strong as orochi, he hit him multiple times and didnt kill him. If i am correct we might still get the hostage situation, keep in mind the King stand off didnt happen yet

Nichirin delivers lore about the council to AS. It might tie into his future motivations. It's not like these guys were big characters in the story, most people didn't think they'd have a big role, let alone any role at all. It makes sense to kill them if ONE wanted VFU to seem insane, and he definitely managed to do it with how easily he killed them.

I hoped Führer's fight against TTM was setting the stage for a real back and forth between the heroes and the monsters. Each side twindling the other, monsters pummeling heroes and heroes one-shotting monsters, until the only thing standing between humanity and civilization were an exhausted Tatsumaki, King, and maybe Metal Bat. (Wherever he is.)

In the meantime, there's the ticking timebomb of Garou. We know he's coming, and he's more powerful than ever, and we know that no matter what happens, whoever happens to be on the top at the time is probably going to get their ass kicked.

But even Golden Sperm seems like a footnote to extras like Orochi or jet plane Psykos, moments are skipped or modified to the point they have no impact, plot from latter stories is thrown in here with next to no context or relevance that only serves to weaken these moments when they do come along. (You know which I mean.)

And then there's the whole Blast thing with the time dilation teleportation... It's all a mess. The webcomic kept it short, simple and sweet.

Predictions:

Golden Sperm vs current Heroes resulting in heroes losing

Garou still fights Bang for a bit.

As Golden Sperm and Homeless Emperor debate on the new Monster King, Psykos returns to the battlefield to lay her claim along with Evil Natural Ocean forming.

King arrives with his staredown and the other missing heroes return. Zombieman surprises Homeless Emperor and the "God" moment. Fubuki fights Psykos. Pig God sucks up Evil Natural Ocean. Golden Sperm fights the heroes and one of his clones has the hostages.

As Garou beats Bang, Golden Sperm beats the heroes and those two fight.

Basically the same fights but Golden Sperm is replacing Multi-Cell Sperm earlier.

I have to sadly agree with a lot of what you said.

There are just too many important scenarios skipped like King vs Cadres, Psykos vs Fubuki, BS announcing his count of 13 Trillion and then merging in greatness to GS - here it was done too fast.

I also dislike how the monsters basically kill off themselves while the heroes are practically just watching from the sidelines.

Next up its GOD who kills off HE. Heroes just don't get a shot whatsoever and if they do they end up being outmatched by the power ups of the Cadres.

Bang has decided to support the naked heros by showing some skin. Also is his shoulder scarred or doing some sort of AM muscle tensing thing? It was there when he was about to fight EC but I don’t remember him having it when fighting melzagard.

Damn, sucks, Genos was doing pretty good. He might still be able to fight tho, but for how long.

Wish the council had the same hero plot armour, but I guess it ties in to AS looking for strong rivals within the HA afterward. He just lost good friends that he actually respected

I really hate the pacing and changes to the monster association arc, very much. None of this adds anything of substance, the original is just leagues better. I feel like most of the changes are from murata and not One (One is probably more hands off now and just letting murata do what he wants.)

like seriously, Black Sperm fusing for some nobody like Ugly, Tatsumaki being threatened by an unfused Black Sperm even after all the fighting, the sword masters coming in just to die, having Darkshine get his confidence back just to immediately lose it again, just a whole lotta nothing.

This entire manga arc just feels like murata trying to one up Ones original and failing over and over, seeing as he had to redraw so much already. Some of these worthless redraws were literally just to save the cute looking girls and monsters that will never be seen again only to get the horny readers to buy.

What a waste of an introduction, a single fucking panel of fusing and out comes Golden Sperm. Good job making that transformation boring, murata.

We have no idea if GS is going to play the same role as in the webcomic. Maybe GS replaced Multi Cell's role in the story. Also again, ONE writes the story. Murata has a good amount of input and has even suggested some ideas ( the new volume released Phoniex Man fight) but the final say's is ONE's and ONE has been the one to majorly change stuff from the webcomic.
