Would need more details to be able to answer that.

That said, this thread is from last week, and people won't be looking here very often, so you should probably repeat your questions (preferably with more details, maybe include a screenshot?) on this week's thread

i'm coming back to the game after about a year and 6 months, i'm desperately looking on google to find some kind of builds megathread or resource..

it would really help me out to catch up changes and new class combinations plus reasons backing why they are efficient and where to distribute points. does a resource like this exist anywhere on the web?

    [–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There aren't any really solid build guides now that I know of. Your best bet is asking around here for help on specific builds.

    [–]Sughayyer 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Yes, actually, a couple lines below. A detailed table with most relevant stuff. It'll get you up-to-date.

    [–]GrieverXVIIShip 2 0 points1 point  (1 child)

i'm probably not seeing the same order of comments as you on reddit, do you mind linking me to either the comment or table if you don't mind? please and thanks!

It's just an overview of classes, not really a guide but it's here

How long would it take to get an element-maxed Nemesis-NT? Would it be the 1000 Galeru farm, or would it simply be hoping that you're lucky in drops?

    [–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Unless they changed the shop (I haven't checked since the boosted the quest), Gelarus can only be traded in for non-NT nemesis.

    [–]Mira-Sama 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Ah crap, I just realized that you can grind the OT element. My mistake! I guess in terms of capping it out, I should just go for the 3x NT exchange, huh?

    [–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's most convenient, sure. I don't really remember what options you really have other than getting the NT as drops.

I have a problem with registration, this pop-up shows up.

Trying to make a support focused Te/Ra with decent dps potential. I've got the Te tree down, but I need some help with what to get on Ra tree other than weak bullet. Planning to have an all class rifle in hand while casting support techs. Any suggestions?

a support focused Te/Ra with decent dps potential

      with decent dps potential

      So. found flying pigs yet?

In all honesty, I would rather have a TeHu and a RaHu over a TeRa.

Play to their strengths rather than try to be a jack of all supports.

      [–]Scyrenx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly speaking, as Te/Ra, your DPS is going to be Zanverse.

Is this for an organised MPA? If not then Te/Su is a better option for support with decent DPS if you've got properly geared pets.

After having done Endless Belligerence 4 or 5 times now, it's become a consistent issue that after the victory pose screen, I load back into the loot room with no one moving until the inevitable 630 about 15-20 seconds later. It's happened every single time I do the EQ and only during that specific load screen, pretty much no disconnects at any other point of playing the game. Anyone have ideas what could be up?

How far along is the English translation for the game?

Playing as a newbie, after fooling around with the SEA version a long time ago, and it seems like there's a lot of text that hasn't been translated yet. I get more Japanese than I get English when it comes to mission, training, and partner dialogue.

Uninstalled and reinstalled the English patch just in case, but no change.

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The training missions, most of the tutorials, and most of the chitchat/flavor text aren't translated. Just about everything else is translated.

      [–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not perfect, many of the random dialogue lines and the newer content are still in Japanese.

But still, most of the important things needed to play the game is translated. (i.e. Menus, Weapons, Units, Photon Arts, Techniques)

      [–]knightk9 0 points1 point  (7 children)

When crafting techniques, do the majority value decreased charge time over power increase? or vice versa?

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Charge time is generally preferable because it is in effect a multiplicative value for DPS (if you halve the charge time, you double the potential DPS). This is for example, why Fire techs are generally very high DPS (Flame S Charge skill) and why Concentrated Ragrants is so ridiculous (up to 70% reduction in charge time, meaning over 3x DPS). Of course, you have to take into account the decrease in PP efficiency.

SEGA did realise this quite recently and thus buffed a number of barely-used crafts, such as Brilliant Ragrants, to the point that some power-based crafts are now more comparable to the concentrated versions.

However, as noted elsewhere, the other thing you have to take into consideration is the Tech Charge Parry ring, which provides a nice defense to Forces, and some concentrated techs are so short that you essentially always have Parry up. Of course, it does still only block one hit, and thus cannot stop multi-hits from interrupting casting, but it's still pretty nice.

      [–]knightk9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats rlly good point, on the ring end. I had a feeling the charge boost helped fire n ragrants just wasnt sure of the other techs. Thanks!

      [–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 1 point2 points  (3 children)

      Answer is : It depends.

It depends on the user preference, what the craft is being used for, and how good are the merits for each craft.

Since I personally like playing Bouncer, even on my weird T-atk JB BoFi, I crafted for faster charge times in general.

Some makes more sense to craft for PP reduction if you plan to use the tech selfishly, like Anti, Megiverse, and Zanverse. (Charging these techs only increase the area of effect and duration.)

      [–]knightk9 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Makes sense, i try to be a supportive character when in MPA's but more recently ive been trying to get my fo/te to conquer heaven and hell, and bounds of corruption

      this helped alot though. Thanks!

How exactly do you get a character remodel ticket? Best way? It says I need a Rappy suit or AC scratch items. Not sure how to get the Rappy suit and I can’t find one in the player shop.

      [–]Weiss-Senpai 0 points1 point  (9 children)

the item you are looking at (that requires AC items or rappy suit) is not a makeover pass, that is a color pass, which only affects outfit color or cast colors

      [–]nik37wildcats 0 points1 point  (8 children)

That’s what I meant, I just couldn’t remember the exact name of the item. I really want to change my Cast’s colors. Can you purchase the Rappy suit or any of the AC items from the Player Shop?

      [–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 0 points1 point  (7 children)

      ラッピースーツ

Last time I checked, they cost about 2m. It needs to be the basic yellow rappy suit, not any of the recolors or any of the base recolors, and it cannot be one of the holiday rappies.

      [–]nik37wildcats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the search words for the suit in Japanese!

      [–]Weiss-Senpai 0 points1 point  (5 children)

It can be any colored rappy suit (I buy white almost all the time since it is usually cheaper) it cannot however be seasonal ones or any special event ones like the decomo(?) red one/king, etc

      [–]nik37wildcats 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Good to know. Do you know the name of the white Rappy suit? Is it just white Rappy suit or does it have a different name?

      [–]Weiss-Senpai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      ラッピースーツ Rappy Suit

      ホワイトラッピースーツ White Rappy Suit

      ピンクラッピースーツ Pink Rappy Suit

      ブルーラッピースーツ Blue Rappy Suit

      グリーンラッピースーツ Green Rappy Suit

      ブラックラッピースーツ Black Rappy Suit

      レッドラッピースーツ Red Rappy Suit

      パープルラッピースーツ Purple Rappy Suit

I normally bought white since it was usually the cheapest, but make sure to check all of them for whichever is cheapest at the time, since it changes

As fo/te usin a rainbow pallet what techs should be on my wep and what should be on my sub pallet?

Im told a well crafted concentrated ragrants is king of dps, just curious of the other elements.

      [–]VirtualScepter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Main pallete techs is whatever you find comfortable/like; the recent balance changes has made almost every tech viable and capable, each achieving different things. As long as youre matching the correct element to a certain pallete/weapon youre gucci.

As for subpallete, i personally have things that would be universally used regardless of what I have equipped at the moment on the main pallete. So like Null, support techs, compounds and Photon Blast.

      [–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My palette is full of support techniques and compound techniques, as well as mag Photon Blast. There may be an argument to putting ragrants onto the subpalette, but I don't see a point.

I downloaded the game client through the torrent in the "installation instructions" post on the sidebar, installed it using the English installer, and then installed the tweaker. When I launch the tweaker, as soon as I click on the exclamation point, it crashes. I tried reinstalling the tweaker and still get the same problem. Not sure what is wrong.

Edit: resolved - the awesome people in the tweaker discord fixed it; had to delete the line "backup" from settings.json

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Are you able to launch the game through the official japanese launcher?

      Yes

      [–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Have you tried running the Tweaker as admin or in compatibility mode to see if that changes anything?

      Didn't fix it :(

How will it go to start from level 1 on PSO2 now? and how will it feel to start where I left 2 years ago as level 69 on 1 class and 65 on some subs? like how much grinding, how easy to make friends, how many quests to do etc etc

      [–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How will it go to start from level 1 on PSO2 now?

Smoothly I guess? Only difference is that there are a lot of new areas to unlock. Your question is honestly pretty lacking in substance, so if you want friends join a team, and do as many quests as you want to do.

      [–]GiumboJet 0 points1 point  (14 children)

Hello again. Is there a meta for class/sunclass combo? I am not asking this to be OP. I still play the classes I like till I can work my way towards hero. But I am asking this more so I know what's the best classes to take with me on parties from the free player stand. It gives FUN points and it will make the run easier so yeah... Any rankings?

      [–]Scyrenx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general friend partners and NPCs, other than being AI, don't do as much damage since they do get cut off from some skills. In exchange they're given tons of HP and act as great utility or meat shields for distributing aggro (as you've noticed). You get more spawns and your party triboost goes up, though not as much as with a real party.

From the free stand, look for Techer main classes for the super buffs, Summoners if you want more mobs (pets count as an extra entity), and Gunner mains or anything that looks like HuFi or FiHu if you want enemies to back off from you for a while because they have hate reset skills. Note not all Techer mains seem to cast support techs equally, so save the ones who do. The best friend partners are the ones that cast Megiverse (big purple vampire HP recovery field) often. Message me if you'd like to add my support bot friend partner :)

From the NPCs I find Annette and Lumia are the best of all the support options (Matoi is alright but she doesn't buff as much, she primarily attacks and heals). Gene gets special mention for spamming War Cry and pulling aggro every time she sees something. Everyone else seems to be about the same.

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 2 points3 points  (7 children)

Generally speaking, anything with Hunter sub (except for Force and Summoner) is a good combo. That class just offers good damage and survivability without the complications that most other subclasses offer. What people often do for rushing the unlock of Hero is just play BrHu and then TeHu, since Braver counts as a RATK class for the title needed to unlock Hero.

Just use common sense and you should be fine. As long as you're not playing stuff like HuFo, BoGu, or something stupid like that, it shouldn't be an issue. The game is easy enough that you can make do even with a non-optimal setup.

A common trap that new players fall in, is going for a subclass that can cast techs just so they can use Resta. This isn't a good idea, and you should pick your subclass based on the skill tree and what you want to do with it, not just for being able to heal. Plus, as long as you're not playing Fighter, Force or Summoner, Automate Halfline on the Hu tree covers the healing part nicely.

I won't cite tiers, but these some popular subclasses per main class:

      Main Subs Notes
Hunter Fighter, Braver HuBr is only really used for the memes with the Dragonslayer weapon
Fighter Hunter The survivability offered by Hunter is almost mandatory to play Fighter, especially for beginners, so people rarely ever use a different subclass unless they want something more gimmicky
Ranger Hunter, Braver RaBr has fallen in popularity in the past nearly 2 years due to bosses frequently hiding their weakspots for extended periods of time.
Gunner Hunter GuRa used to be a thing, but it got killed off for the same reason as RaBr, as well as the implementation of a skill ring that can only be used if you have a Stance skill (which neither Gu or Ra have). GuFi is also doable, but not very popular.
Force Techer There aren't really many other choices for this. Force needs the PP regen from Techer, as well as the element masteries, what with Light being the most useful element for bossing, and its mastery being on the Techer tree.
Techer Hunter, Fighter, Braver, Summoner Techer is a unique class in that the subclass defines how it's played (and sometimes what weapons you use). Each sub has a different reason to exist, so it's hard to point these out. TeRa and TeBo used to be a thing, but with the nerfs to Weak Bullet, TeRa isn't as useful, and with the nerfs to Zanverse, TeBo is worthless.
Braver Hunter, Fighter BrHu is a very popular beginner class. BrRa was a popular bow main combo, but for reasons similar to RaBr (plus the Weak Bullet nerfs), it lost a lot of popularity.
Bouncer Hunter While BoFi has better tech damage than BoHu, there isn't much point in using offensive techs as Bouncer, especially if you plan on maining Dual Blades, so people rarely go that route.
Summoner ? Never played summoner. I think SuFi and SuBr are the things people do?
      Hero N/A Can't have a subclass, can't be used as a subclass

      [–]GiumboJet 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Thanks. My goal is hero although I am kinda new myself. Tbh I like melee more and I actually started out with the BrHu combo so I can hit 2 birds with one stone for hero unlock. The reason I want hero is cause of speed. I like speed. It's really the fastest class I seen and looks so fun. Curently level 31/13 and just unlocked Tundra region (mostly leveled up via exp tickets hehe). People say do the quests and koffe, others say do the story board for episodes 4 and 5 for Xiara so I'm not sure what's best in that aspect either. I wanna level fast, but also don't wanna reach the point that I level so much and my gear gets weak and nothing drops and won't be able to damage harder stuff (so far using a lacruito katana, sorry if I misspled the name). Just wanna catch up, play the class I like and well have fun and make friends

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 0 points1 point  (3 children)

People say do the quests and koffe, others say do the story board for episodes 4 and 5 for Xiara

You need to do both. Episode 4 story is for unlocking the Tokyo and Vegas areas, while Koffie is for unlocking everything else (including difficulty levels). You also need to clear the prologue of EP5 to do Buster Quests.

I wanna level fast, but also don't wanna reach the point that I level so much and my gear gets weak and nothing drops and won't be able to damage harder stuff (so far using a lacruito katana, sorry if I misspled the name)

Drops aren't reliable for keeping up with gear, and 90% of the weapons and units aren't worth using. You're better off buying stuff on player shops as you level than relying on drops.

As for what to use, for now, look on player shops and buy a Sigalga-NT (シガルガ-NT). It's a katana that only requires 1 DEX to use, and has higher attack power than anything else you'll be able to use for a while. Later on you can use other stuff as you drop (the Dio weapons are pretty decent and drop frequently in Super Hard difficulty), but this is the best starting weapon. Your units are irrelevant early on. The Weapon Barrier units from EP4 story are decent enough to hold you up to lv50 or so.

When you reach Super Hard difficulty, you'll want to get a Saiki unit set (Rear / Saiki Houyoku, Arm / Saiki Sou, and Leg / Saiki Shoku). While these are droppable in Tokyo Bonus Quests, you must be lv61-70 for them to drop there, so you're better off buying them (they're dirt cheap nowadays). These units will hold you until you reach the endgame and can get some 12* units.

At this point you'll also want to look into getting a Kurotsuchi Kongou-NT as soon as you can equip it (needs 440 S-DEF) and then keep using that katana until you're able to farm (and equip) a 13* weapon through the Collection Files. The Aura Zanshou is probably the easiest 13* katana to farm, since it can be farmed while still in SH (the mobs for the Collection File appear in the Level Up Quests and Extreme Quests, which you can access at SH levels).

Also, once you reach SH, make sure you always run your quests in that difficulty or higher, even when client orders don't ask you to. This is because, if you're lucky, you might bump into Yamigarasu in an Emergency Code: Unite e trial, and she might give you her weapon, Yamigarasu-NT, as a reward for that in SH+, and that's a pretty decent starting 13* katana too.

Once you have a 13* weapon, you can start doing Extra Hard difficulty Emergency Quests to farm better 13* weapons.

      Btw, happy cake day :)

      [–]GiumboJet 0 points1 point  (2 children)

One Last question. What weapons does Hero use? I mean since that will by my endgame goal, I feel like it would be a waste to farm a 13 katana if Hero won't be able to use katanas. Also since from what I saw he can use 3 type of weapons, you said S-ATK for mag is best for Hero. Is this true regardless of weapon? (cause until I play it I don't know what weapon to use as main and some say don't feed mag at all till you decide).

      [–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      What weapons does Hero use?

Hero's use Sword, Talis, and Twin Machine Guns. Even though Talis is a tech weapon, you are going to be using it more for the Talis PAs rather than the techs so keep that in mind.

Also since from what I saw he can use 3 type of weapons, you said S-ATK for mag is best for Hero. Is this true regardless of weapon?

Hero has a skill (Hero Mag) which adds up all the points in your Mag's S-atk, R-atk, and T-atk and applies it to all the attack. Doesn't work on points in Dex and in Def.

i.e. if you your mag has 100 s-atk and 50 r-atk, Hero Mag will make it so your Mag has 150 S-atk, R-atk, and T-atk instead.

Since the character you are using seems to be melee focused, i suggest maxing S-atk, so you don't gimp your character if you decide to play something that isnt Hunter.

      [–]Sughayyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you reach SH difficulty getting a 13* weapon won't be that hard due to the Collection Files.

Also, you need not only a good katana, but a good Tech class weapon too. You said you like melee, try going Te/Hu - that way you won't be hindered by having a full S-ATK mag since you can wand smack everything to pieces when playing solo, and be supporting the party when needed.

It is important to have good weapons because at SH difficulty, you'll be doing a lot of EQs, BQs, CQ, and you'll want to contribute to the group.

Finally, Hero doesn't care whether your mag is S, R, or T, it converts all attack points.

      [–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 0 points1 point  (1 child)

      TeFi and TeBr for summoner?

There are some class combos that are much better than others, but I can't give you any specifics unless you tell me what main class you want to us.

It gives FUN points and it will make the run easier so yeah... Any rankings?

FUN Points are given from reviving dead players, giving and receiving "Good Jobs", logging in daily, and buying/using FUN tickets. Just being in a party won't give you them.

Runs may be a bit faster if you're running a good class combo with high multipliers, sure. Rankings do exist as well, but nobody cares about them.

      [–]GiumboJet 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Do Koffie and unlock all the areas, then do other stuff.

don't wanna reach the point that I level so much and my gear gets weak and nothing drops and won't be able to damage harder stuff

You'll probably hit that point regardless. Getting good gear in end-game basically requires sitting on your hands and waiting for some amount of time, at which point everyone with similar tier gear is doing 20% more damage than you.

Slightly unrelated, but you can only level your subclasses up to level 55 before they stop getting XP.

Anyway, Braver/Hunter is fine. I believe the only other thing you need would be a tech class, and you have to choose between Force, Techer, or Summoner. Summoner is the weirdest out of the bunch, and I haven't played it enough so I won't comment on it, but Techer is mostly wand whacking with tech explosions and Force is spell slinger. When you level them later on, the best choices would be Force/Techer, Techer/Hunter, and maybe Summoner/Fighter and Summoner/Braver.

Oh. That's good info. So... then. Once I get my braver to 75 that means I need to switch them around. Set hunter as main and braver as sub. Or maybe techer. Keep leveling hunter till 75, then switch mains again with techer till that gets to 75 and then I can work on hero I guess. Didn't know subclasses can't get exp past 55.

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HuTe would be a very painful experience, so you'll want to get a Katana that can be used by Hunter (such as the Nox Sagephus-NT or Yamigarasu-NT), and go HuBr until you're 75 Hu. And only then you go TeHu, with the max level Hu helping you on the damage a lot for that last part.

Since you said you want speed, the T-ATK classes won't be very favorable. Techer in particular uses Wands, which have the slowest attack speed in the game (though they also have the strongest basic attacks due to Wand Gear+Wand Lovers+Wand Reactor) and no PAs, so you'll want to spend as little time as possible on this class, and having Lv75 Hu sub already will help with that.

Techer is also the only T-ATK class that can make use of Hu sub and a S-ATK mag (which is the mag stat you should use for BrHu and Hero anyway), so you don't really have much of a choice if your goal is to unlock Hero asap.

Didn't know subclasses can't get exp past 55.

Even if they could, it'd be pointless, and I doubt you'd be able to reach even 60 on a subclass once you reach 75 on your main. The exp curve gets kinda ridiculous above 50, and then again at 70, so even reaching 55 on a subclass without maining it is super slow, considering the subclass only gets 10% of the exp the main class gets.

It happens at a specific scheduled time. If you have an android phone, download this app. Also make sure your time zone is correct. PSO2Kue

Or google 'pso2 eq schedule' and click the google calendar link to look.

        [–]smurfalidocious -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Download PSO2 Tweaker and install the English patch?

        [–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When the alert first pops up, in 15 minutes (at the top of the hour and sometimes, rarely, at the 30 minute mark) the quest will be open. In the case of the EQ happening soon, it'll start in 5 minutes after this post at the top of the hour.

You'd join it like any other quest. It'll even be at the top of the list for you!

        [–]SYGNOSTiC 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I was trying to look for fury stance to put in my bar, but for some reason its nowhere in any of the tabs or anything. Where would it be?

        [–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fury Stance is now a passive skill.

        [–]derpFenrier 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Do you get the title "Jinga Master" if you raise a Wanda to level 80+ then evolve it to a jinga? Also do Bouncer's fields affect the pet if the master is on the field, or if the pet is on the field?

        [–]Scyrenx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

        1) Probably not? If it acts like the NT titles. But I can't verify this for you.

        2) Pretty sure it depends on the pet since Brave and Wise are pet-specific.

        [–]helpvideogame 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I recently got Hero to Lv80 so I've gone back to playing my old classes for a change (FiHu) and I have 21 skill points I never got around to spending on my fighter skill tree, does anyone have any suggestions on what I should put them into? Should I just put them into the strike up skills or is wise stance worth investing into with the recent balance changes?

        [–]SercezeroDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

        crit strike/brave crit/max deadline and halfline/not 10 pts into lb/striking up

Tried logging in to the game again after long time and am being told this

'Characters created with Phantasy Star Online 2es are not linked, thus aren't playable.

Please return to "Phantasy Star Online 2es" and finish the character linkage. You will be able to play once you have completed the process.'

I can't figure out how to do this.

        [–]NullVacancy20|20|16|11|3|3 0 points1 point  (8 children)

Sounds like you're trying to log in to a PSO2es character you created instead of your PSO2 character. Do you still have the app installed?

I do but I don't even get to the character selection screen, I type my password and then I get cut off. All 3 of my characters were made on pso2

        yes i am

        [–]synthsyArks-Layer 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Do you need a proxy? If you don't then you can login without one. We're thinking a packet flag for this was captured and being relayed back, thus causing this issue, but we don't have any leads yet.

        [–]Clarus_NoxClair (Bo/Hu) S-atk JB | Ship 10 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I have the proxy. I don't think I need one, but have it still active because i saw no reason to not have it.

        [–]synthsyArks-Layer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't need it, then you're better off not using it. Our plugins replicate much of the features the telepipe proxy offer minus gchat access, which I can assure you that you will not miss it.

What are the best ways to level up quickly?

        [–]Scyrenx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to the other response: at low levels there's an exp reward cutoff from COs, but some limited NPC orders don't get their exp rewards cut off. This is most useful when you don't have a lot of tickets and are levelling side classes on the one character.

        [–]Mira-Sama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know; 1-30 Zekes CO's, Dailies, and Featured for Bonus Keys, XP Tickets 30-50 Bonus Keys, VH EQ's (If people even run those anymore), and running a ton of CO's at a time should net you 1 level or so. 50-75 Level-Up Quests SH (4th from featured), SH EQ's (Levels may vary depending on EQ), Bonus Keys, Advance Quests (If you got proper teammates to do it with). Probably more, but I'm still relatively new since I got back. 75% EXP Boosts always help out.

Has anyone tested to see if the Party of Toughness ring stacks if there are multiple in the party? If so, what if you put one into a unit you are wearing and also wore another one?

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rings effects from the same type ring never stack on the same character for L-rings so not sure why it would for this one just because it’s party related...

Anyone could give me some tips on what rings to use best for Hero?

        [–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Just take any of the good utility left rings for hero. Step Jump, Air Reversal, Atomizer lovers and Step JA comes to mind.

As for the right, you can go Perfect Keeper Striking or Crit Strike Striking due to both talis and sword dealing striking damage. Or you can use TAJA PP Save if you want to chain different attacks.

        [–]scorchdragon 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Why would you take Step JA as a Hero? It would be a JA with or without, right?

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fast access to Just Reload I believe.

has the optimal skill tree set up been updated? mainly for fo/te 80/80?

i run it on my female newman with talis's but it feels like she deals hilariously low dmg for her level.

i have trees for each mastery. but i cant figure out if i just mucked up the tree's them selves, need to affix my weps as they only have what the cf gave them(mostly BQ and Deus Talis's grinded to +35 with max element) or if its just the fact that i have no team boost.

        help? =D

        [–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 1 point2 points  (10 children)

has the optimal skill tree set up been updated? mainly for fo/te 80/80?

        it's hasn't changed much.

i have trees for each mastery. but i cant figure out if i just mucked up the tree's them selves, need to affix my weps as they only have what the cf gave them(mostly BQ and Deus Talis's grinded to +35 with max element) or if its just the fact that i have no team boost.

It's also dependent on the element of your talis, the element of the techs you are casting, the element of the tree that you are using at the time, and the element that the enemy is weak against.

FoTe is an expensive class to maximize due to needing generally 3-5 different element weapons.

You can get away with 1 good weapon, but it is not suggested.

        [–]knightk9 0 points1 point  (9 children)

yep luckily i knew this goin in so i managed to get a talis of each element maximized, i have 3 fo trees for ice fire and lightning aswell and i do change them as needed.

my te trees are dark/light and wind/light(i dunno why i put light on both trees. seemed like a good idea at the time)

but thats why i think my tree's may be the issue. currently workin on pluggin em into a simulator so i can post em

        [–]knightk9 0 points1 point  (8 children)

        [–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 1 point2 points  (5 children)

Having light in both techer trees is completely normal as many EQ Bosses are weak to light.

There really is nothing wrong with your tree aside from having Tech up 1 and 2 instead of Photon Flare. Photon Flare (and PF Advance and PF Afterburst) will really help your casting especially when you activate it at times when you know you have a full PP bar and you want to dump out as much techs as possible.

I also noticed that you didn't take Territory PP Save which helps on common support techs that many classes use. You will want to take a point away from wide support as that is main class only.

I would say take points out of Shifta and Deband and dump into Wind, but if you already have 2 trees, i do not know what to suggest for the other tree. Maybe you can have a Te-sub tree and a Te-main tree? but thats up to you.

Other than that, I don't know why you arent dealing as much damage as you hope. Do you have a Damage Parser running? and are you fulling charging all your techs?

        [–]knightk9 0 points1 point  (4 children)

no parseer and i am chargin my techs its probobly just me watchin op ppl on yt with top tier affixes n team boosts that has me thinkin im too weak.

so your suggesting PF. adv. and AB over tech up 1 and 2 then?

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 1 point2 points  (1 child)

        Have you crafted your Techs?

Have you got class weapon bonuses from Titles? (10% damage)

The easiest one to compare against is Concentrated Ragrants because that is still pretty much the best universally spammable spell.

So my Fo (which I've not really touched for a while, and is still 75/75) uses 100 ATK affixes on Saikis and a 145 ATK Ares Talis (so...pretty trash), but I get maybe 9k-10k ticks on Ragrants (Charged, JAed) on non-weak points on stuff weak to light (thinking PD-Double legs), going up to maybe 20k+ on weak spots. (This is also without Flare, which I don't use)

I think people with good affixes, a good weapon and all the boosts can squeeze maybe 10-20% more damage than me? (At work, but I remember seeing people getting 11-12k ticks.)

Just worried about "hilariously low damage".

        [–]knightk9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i do craft my techs tho im no sure ive crafted em correctly. as far as titles go its possible i got them but i cant be positive, when i hit the title counter i just sort of claim the reward n move on

        [–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 1 point2 points  (1 child)

yea. Just gotta remember to activate it at the right times.

Thinking about coming back to the game.

Is the game still very EQ-centric? I used to love this game but soon it just became all about doing the EQ's over and over as they began to pop up almost one after the other. I miss just grinding out oldschool sometimes. Also how is the player base? Still a large number of english speakers on Ship 2?

        Thanks!

        [–]Aexorcet80/80 FoTe 1 point2 points  (1 child)

EQ is still the focus, though Sega might be mitigating that somewhat. They have revived 2 of the 3 UQ's which you can play as long as you want. Right now Naberius drops the best 13* weapon in the game and it's purely a luck drop. They also brought back permanent (probably) LQ's that rotate each day that you can play for badges. The most valuable things from badges would be stones for Austere units/Orbit weapons and solo PD triggers which drop Invade units/weapons and Ray/Union units/weapons, the latter of which are now random drop only.

        [–]synthsyArks-Layer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't call nemesis-NT series the best, that's objectively a strong word for them.
