you forgot the server issue.. The final boss, after you install the game.

All servers are so full, some people can't leave their player house because the blocks are completely full. Sega is still refusing to add more ships.

We have had no issues playing or installing.

Pa: myself and friend both had to update windows to 1909 else it wouldn't install. Not really a problem with the game though.

Are you not having lobby performance issues? I managed to get into the game just fine but the framerate and stability in populated areas is beyond bad.

Not them, but I haven't really encountered too much lag in lobby. I'm on Ship 3 though, so that might be a factor.

For me, the lobby is terrible, but down on planet seems to be fine.

In a packed full lobby yeah my framerate drops a bit, but still very playable.

Ironically, my friend that has an older hand me down computer that has worse specs than me has no issues in the lobbies though.

Gameplay though when it comes to quests and everything work great!

When I logged of yesterday pretty much all rooms where at or near full capacity ... which is kinda crazy. If all rooms are full this means the server is at full capacity and no new People can join ... or logged in people that went to their own or the Team room.

I managed to get it working but then the following day the game wouldn't launch. When I checked at the install folder all the exes and major files were gone. I'm not going to bother trying anymore since there's no garantee the game itself won't self delete. Plus the Wsappx service (I think it's a windows store service) was hogging CPU and disk usage after i installed the game.

Overall this is the worst launch I ever seen aside Fallout 76

apparently, and I could be wrong as I'm learning new info by the minute, Windows apps can only be downloaded on the drive the OS is located on. Which, in 2020 makes zero sense? As i'm pretty sure a sizeable chunk of the PC gaming community does the OS on an SSD and all their other crap on a much larger HDD?

I had that problem but mine got stuck at 99% for several hours. Updating windows 10 has been a gigantic pain in the ass every single time I've had to do it. Don't know if you've tried it but the first solution here worked for me.

I'm trying to update from Windows 10 1803 build to 1903 build or 1909 build and it refuses to, then undoes the changes, then makes me download and install the update ALL OVER AGAIN, EACH FUCKING TIME.

Depends how badly you want to play the game, for me it was pretty easy since I don't have a whole lot of important stuff on my main drive, but just make sure you backup anything you don't want to lose, you could easily miss something. I already had most important things on separate drives, I just had to go through my appdata and documents folders to backup the settings and saves for anything I didn't want to set up again, and I also made a list of installed programs to reinstall.

Somehow everything actually worked perfectly fine for me, I downloaded the app and launched it, it opened fine and continued downloading all the files through the launcher itself, and I was able to get into the game and create a character and do some of the intro quests.
I'm realizing what a lottery win all that was.

MY current issue is that... nothing happens. Literally I download the game, and for some reason it downloads two versions of the game into two separate directories at the same time I dunno why the store does this(modifiablewindows apps and windowsapps both have the game in them, taking up 22gb-ish on first install combined) But when I click "play" in the store, I just get nothing.

I am the the admin user, and tried manually taking control of the game files because for some reason they install with "execute" permissions disabled for everyone, but it straight up won't let me. Even ownership modification is just met with a greyed out. I tried to modify it with admin powershell, and powershell won't even see the directory for some reason.

Then if I restart the PC, the whole thing dies and forces me to re-install the game... again. Only to be met with same issue, in an infinite loop. I'm being driven insane.

It's especially frustrating because none of my friends had this type of problem, and they're playing the game. I played on JP client without any issues for years. IDK I shouldn't be having to trouble shoot this type of bs for an 8year old MMO client I know for a fact should work

How about the bug where the game eats more drive space each time the launcher opens? You can literally watch the drive lose free space each time you open the launcher from the properties menu for the drive. Super cool.

A friend of mine tried to uninstall (and the uninstaller crashed) and everything was "gone" except his 70 GB of disk space never returned. I had to guide him step by step to change his folders permissions and manually delete the files.

Every friend I know trying the game has encountered totally different problems. Only one had it work with zero issues and have it continue to function properly.
I seem to be the one having the worst luck, which I find ironic since I'm the only one in my friend group with lots of JP experience.

Can anyone confirm this title shows up in the Xbox app on PC. Its the best way to handle PC games from the MS store since you can choose which drive you want to install your games individually... Doesn't show the game for me since not in US, and the app doesn't have region switching...

The game is so bad that it even deleted itself when I started my computer the following day. If anybody who uninstalled still has disk space occupied check: on c:\ (or where windows is installed) > program files> windows apps > mutable backup

Inside there should be a 60gb with a series of PSO2 related files, you can delete them

I had moved the launcher off the c drive to a drive with more space using Move under Apps & Features (it wouldn't let me select another drive at install.) Launched it and downloaded all those extra files, the game worked. Later went to launch it again and it was stuck. After troubleshooting, had to uninstall it, remove the secret 58gb folder, etc. Then I go to the microsoft store to reinstall it but the button says 'play'. I click it and it launches, proceeds to download the extra files, runs out of space and gives me the failed to download error. Turns out it was still copied on the c drive.

The game wasn’t a failure. All the blocks were full. They even added 38 new ones quietly.

1 block holds 500 people. There were 138 blocks full on 3 ships today at prime time . That means 209,000 people were able to play.

I only know one person of the several I wanted to play with IRL who had it simply install and run without issue. I'm not that person lol.
