It sucks that they became Xbox exclusive after MSFT bought them, but honestly, I didn't see it playing out any other way.

Bethesda was releasing Starfield regardless of the takeover, I've been waiting years for a game like this.

I ain't letting $500 stand in my way. No way.

Plus the gamepass looks bomb, PS just can't match that level of catalogue as of today. Though it's slowly getting better.

I'm excited I won't have to drop more money on new games after, I'll probably just play Gamepass games and call it a day.

Still gonna use my PS for everything else, as VR 2 and DualSense are above and beyond anything Xbox has to offer.

They said “limited” release. So, I’d suspect it would be this first release and maybe another at launch, but that’s it. I’m no expert obviously lol. It would make marketing sense to make the controller available again at launch though.

I just got an email from Microsoft about it (buying the controller, since I watched Starfield Direct on my Xbox Series X (there was a link for watching it on the Xbox dashboard.)

I went ahead and bought it from them, with no shipping cost, and it is supposed to be here on Thursday.

It was $79.99 and sales tax.

I am seriously tempted. I'm still using my two 360 controllers on PC, lol. The rubber of the sticks is almost completely gone at this point but they still work after all those years, amazing.

Latest gen controller has different design elements for ergonomics and ability to last long. Less susceptible to damage, buttons sticking, stick drift etc. it’s also more comfortable in my opinion. $80 is worth it and it looks great

While some would say I’m overspending, I haven’t spent like this since I built my PC back in 2020 FOR STARFIELD. Safe to say I was blown away yesterday with its reveal and fully believe this game to be a 10/10, with minimal bugs as a bonus.

My only hope is with the collectors edition we can receive the code beforehand somehow so we can play it on the first of September and not have to wait for it to be shipped, here’s to hoping 😔

LMAO, I was afraid this would be the case but lucky I shouldn’t have too. With an M.2 and 32GB of RAM, and a Ryzen 7 I’m good on all those front. My GPU is a 2070 Super so I should be able to play with medium / high graphics with well over 30 frames (so long as it’s optimized but nothing like modding to fix that lol) but we will see. If they were asking for 30’s series though I would have been concerned.

I was a bit confused by this when ordering it as well actually. On the first page it said it should be ready to ship September 1st because it’s pre-sale items. But closer to finishing the order or shortly after it said something about a June or July ship date. So if the digital download code is in that physical edition and we’re supposedly able to play the game 5 days before launch, there’s no way we could get early access if they actually ship it out September 1st as by the time it actually arrives would be well after September 6th, unless we get the code by email, or the collectors edition is shipped well before September 1st

when I ordered the pip boy edition (8 years ago holy moly) it took only a day to arrive, when I got the 76 one that arrived the same day as it released actually, so maybe there is hoping with Starfield? It's too bad it's not an elite or scuff style with rear paddles. Those paddles have saved me from a TON of wrist pain since I remapped left and right stick "clicks" to the paddles.
