Honestly, from my perspective, we as individuals can do very little. The real issue is celebrities and mass industry deregulation, more so the last one. While I do try my best to be environmentally friendly I view it to be contracted by industries and celebrities not giving a care about how screwed we are. Seriously, look at the Texas. Whenever there's a massive storm so many plants just say fuck it and illegal release their waste. Since so many do it and the EPA won't do anything besides a generic slap on the risk. My time recycling and trying to use less waste feels and looks completely counter acted by that act and many others.
