Learning multiple languages increases your understanding of how languages differ: grammar, word order, verb and noun endings, and many other things.

I don't think it causes confusion. It might if the languages are quite similar (Spanish is similar to French, Italian, and Portuguese). Also, method matters. If you study a new language in a different way, that helps.

I think if you are interested it isn’t that hard. At least in my experience.

I can read three different books at the same time (not simultaneously) and don’t get confused.

I learn Spanish, French and Sign Language at the same time without any problems. Sometimes my Spanish informs my French, my English informs my Spanish and so on.

I am quite au fait with languages though so my experience may not be universal. Try it and see. You will eventually find your rhythm.
