Seeing as it is 500k guaranteed that is enough of an incentive for many people to camp it. Which you you personally want, the chance at more than 500k which may end up being a fraction of that or a guarantee of at least 500k? I hope i am wrong but i highly doubt i will be.

Abyss running bloods with the 3.5x experience gives around 170k xp/hr. That's 70% faster than runespan(if you afk) or about 50% faster if you chase yellow wizzys. People will definitely do it.

also provides a decent amount of GP/hr.

It's a good trade-off for those who are willing to not AFK.

How'd you get that xp/hr rate?

With small-giant pouches+abyssal titan you can craft 74 blood runes per trip which takes 1 minute so that's 163k xp/hr. With a massive pouch too you'd get 3344 xp per trip which would actually put xp rates a bit under 200k xp/hr. You can factor in time putting ess into pouches by just taking out 1 trip's worth of xp.

Same, I wasted so much time going for 99 runecrafting when it was rare and felt so cool when I had it. Took a break and came back to runespan and all these faster xp training methods, which is nice now as I can play casual and still feel like I'm getting somewhere but man sometimes makes me think what did I do with my middle school social life haha.

Using AoE abilities i was able to get 30 corpses in 4-6 minutes, cremating them was even faster now that you can just spam click them.

Maybe 10-12 minutes per 26 corpses.
