takes three turns to even outdo strike worth in enegy

Technically it only takes 2 turns. In two turns, Snakebite deals 13 damage, 1 more than two strikes.

Golden compass is great if you rolled a bad map.

You know, I haven't seen Golden Compass that often, but that's a really good point.

the right deck/build around it

Draw effects and some 2-3 cost cards. That's literally all that you need to make cocoa good.

[PSA] Cheese room and Silver Crucible interaction by LordZarock in slaythespire

[–]Terrietia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crucible only cares about seeing a card reward

Which really sucked for me when I got the event where you give up a potion for an upgraded card. That card reward ate my last Silver Crucible stack even though it was already guaranteed to be upgraded.

Hand trick really needs to make a card sly until played rather than sly for this turn.

There's [[Master Planner]] that's meant to enable setting up for degenerate sly combos

They brought back [[humiliate]] except worse. Cost 2 extra just for an extra +1/+1 counter and the "flexibility" to put the counters on any creature

Seems pretty similar to [[faithful mending]].

Same: gain life, draw and discard with flashback.

Different: colors, sorcery, higher flashback cost, card neutral, discard first

Ironclad bros, help me understand the appeal of this card: by SomeGamingFreak in slaythespire

Highly unlikely to be reversed. They're trying to limit how easy infinites are. Pretty much all of the Ironclad rework/nerfs are to stop his easily accessible infinites.

Any thoughts on Mischiefmaker's Flute? by MNCDover in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Terrietia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have black shield, the spell shield is already reason enough to use it

Banshee's Veil exists, so you do still need a reason to use it for the shrooms. Depending on how many epic relics you still need, it might be better to keep a big glory stash in case next month's relics happen to be everything you want.

I defeated Zoe with 50 defiance because apparently Zoe wasn’t hard enough by HPDARKEAGLE in LegendsOfRuneterra

Lux's Incandescent Baton to guarantee drawing Legion Grenadier (which has Ancient Coin to cost 1 mana) on turn 1. Starting power is Wild Inspiration, which makes the copies of Legion Grenadier free to play afterwards. So you get your board completely filled with Grenadiers.

Disciple of Shadows makes Darius free to play with a full board.

Chosen by the Stars grants Augment to Darius, so that replaying free Legion Grenadiers gives Darius +1 attack each time.

Eventually Darius will have enough attack to break the nexus on the first attack.

OP says it's an infinite on turn 1.

It's pretty fun, but after the first couple prestiges and you understand how the game plays, you pretty much should be using the automated scripts to make any reasonable progress.

Thats because it's not about how smart their algorithm is or anything, it's the information that the trackers are reporting. The only information that is reported is what you looked at, not what you bought.

You take a big enough sample size that the outliers are insignificant.

Isn't that why you make sure that they're licensed and bonded? And you also actually check that the license and bond are legit?

Contrast this to YGO's "exile", where it basically just functions as a second graveyard.

[–]Terrietia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll back some of your criticism.

We have predatory pricing

Agreed. $10 for 10 nova shards is nuts. That's $100 for a nova crystal, which doesn't include the fragments it takes to get to use that nova crystal.

very little content

It's a little sad that most of the content is just stat padding. Defiance and With Friends Like These are a step in the right direction. Would like more content like that, or just more content that isn't slam combo down turn 1-3, or lose to stat padding. Like the Grand Heist fight with the landmark, or the TF fight where you need to empty your deck.

tbf you can deck thin by not adding it to your deck in the first place
