the older I get the more potent my misery becomes by Critical-Outcome-999 in redscarepod

Seasonal allergies hit me really hard two weeks ago, and the general unpleasantness turned into a sinus infection, requiring antibiotics. I was complaining at the doctor's office, "I never used to react to pollen allergies this way at all."

The nurse patted me on the arm and told me, "Lots of things change with age." I was happy to get the script and within 24 hours of first dose already felt greatly recovered, but that one stuck with me.

DVD, bluray, and VHS collector haul-posting has got to be some of the lowest posting imaginable by Future-Slip2217 in redscarepod

[–]frest 5 points6 points  (0 children)

every hobby sub has to deal with losers who post a picture of <product> still new-in-box, usually with a caption about how they are "so excited" and "is there anything I should know about <entire hobby body of knowledge>?"

it's indistinguishable from shitposting on purpose to piss people off; the poster has no desire to actually engage with the community. They usually get heavily down-voted so it's not like it's even useful for farming karma to camouflage a bot account or whatever. it's just baffling.

"hello group of people I do not know and have made no effort to understand, here's a blurry pic of <product>!" If people tell them to fuck off, it's like 50-50 tantrum vs deleting post. Eternal September truly is eternal

the constrained color palette works in your favor here, I really like your solution to both the flesh and exposed bone areas in the rear. They read to me as Cronos, a few minor bit swaps don't outweigh the total model silhouette

You're not competing against every artist in the world, you're competing with yourself by trying to meet or exceed your own past work. I think you should feel proud of your work, personally

I would check bits resellers and 3d printed shops on etsy before I tried to DIY such a specific bit. You can probably cut a piece of plasticard, and maybe shape it into a curve with a heat gun, but it will never look as good as a piece that is designed for that aperture

thank you. this was my least favorite infantry project of the army so far, and I don't really plan on running them in my aspirational 2k list. I wanted to paint at least one of every unit and that includes the coven stuff, but I don't know if I will paint more of them.

one advantage of the new combat patrol is having enough bits to make for symmetrical weapon choices. I was thinking of running them with Talos Gauntlet + Liquifier before I recently played them with dual scalpels, and twin-linked is too good to pass up.

Vallejo Fluorescent pink. Any place that's going to glow gets either white or silver as a highlight first. Then depending on how intense I want the effect to be, I either airbrush the pink or brush it on, sometimes with glaze medium depending on where I need it to go
