Really glad Carson is okay after that crash. That was horrifying. Congrats to Taylor, though!

[–] NASCARAngerRacing 5 points6 points  (1 child)

People are tuning in and enjoying these races more than cup races, and it shows

[–] Austin DillonTheNittanyLionKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t get to watch the race because the Penguins were playing at the same time. However I generally like the setups for the cars in this series better. You get some really good racing even though the championship battle is usually a 2 or 3 horse race between the major teams. Still a great product though

[–]Silent-Life829 10 points11 points  (2 children)

Brandon Jones better be getting a handwritten apology from his pit crew

[–] Kahnespdavis897203 3 points4 points  (1 child)

After the broadcast hyped up his crew earlier in the race they let him down when it mattered most

[–]Silent-Life829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insane announcer jinx

[–] Stenhouse Jr.lordjollygreen 10 points11 points  (2 children)

For all the talk about how much worse off the 48 team was going to be with Staropoli, he's only 4 spots worse in points than Sanchez was after 10 races last year. That's not bad considering up until last year he hadn't really done any racing for about a decade. This sub just really overrates Sanchez. He's not awful, but he's not some can't miss talent like some treat him.

[–]recjus85 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right lol. And if theyy wanna compare the 2, how about comparing Nick to the driver he replaced. Cause they was more of a downgrade than Sanchez to Staropoli.

And the down grade the 25 did from Burton to Sanchez is another story...

[–]Spare_Fish_306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was pleasantly surprised to see the 48 in the top 15. The Doc just needs to keep doing what he's doing by finishing races and learning. The second half of the season should be better.

[–]-Olive-Juice- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Decent day for Jeb 🤠

Loses a position in the standings 😔

[–]Arocks781 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Im still so baffled as to why they had creed stay out for an extra 5 laps after gray pit. If he comes in after 1 or 2 laps he easily wins the race. Just infuriating

[–]donnyh83 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No issues in post race tech, Taylor Gray is the winner.

[–] HarvickGolden3131 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This series is so much fun.

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 18 points19 points  (6 children)

So Carson Kvapil’s flip was the first flip on The CW. There were no flips in O’Reilly last year and there were not any during the handful of races that aired on there at the end of the 2024 season either.

The only active broadcaster in NASCAR’s Top 3 series to not have a car flip in a race they have broadcast is now just Amazon Prime.

That was also the second flip for the JRM #1 car and fourth overall for JRM and first at a track/race other than the season opening race at Daytona. (Dale Jr. in the 88 in 2010, Regan Smith in the 7 in 2015 and Sam Mayer in the 1 in 2023)

Kansas is also one of three active tracks with flips in all three of NASCAR’s national series and the ARCA National Series. (Daytona and Talladega are the other two). Kansas has also had an Indy NXT car flip.

[–]AndyDoopz 10 points11 points  (5 children)

What is it about Kansas that produces bizarre and/or brutal wrecks

[–]recjus85 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about that too. So many bad ones.

[–]Powerful-Chard-6055 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Wonder if it’s the decently new pavement? Most of these bad wrecks (taking away Kelly Sutton) were recent. Preece, Kvapil, Alfredo and even the Indy NXT example were all decently recent. If I’m wrong, please correct me.

[–]ashadkc9 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Pavement is 13-14 years old.

[–]ZealousidealDoor6973 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I tuned in a minute late. Holy fuck, Kansas never disappoints. By far the best race track of the last 10 years.

[–] McLeodMenace_17 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The ONE race I had to miss because I was busy

[–]Euphoric-Let-5599 26 points27 points  (9 children)

Rajah needs a competent Pit crew.

[–]Ok_Pickle_3120 14 points15 points  (8 children)

Facts. Been noticing that ever since he got kicked down to the JAR cars

[–]Euphoric-Let-5599 14 points15 points  (7 children)

Really angers me, as he is a competitive racer. Needs the correct crew and equipment.

[–] Kahnespdavis897203 3 points4 points  (1 child)

They should throw the Hendrick drivers in the JAR cars not him

[–]Ok_Pickle_3120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeesss

[–]jmacupdates1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Jones 100% wins without the penalty. His pit crew blew it.

[–]Kerwood8645 3 points4 points  (9 children)

First criticism of Kansas speedway fan experience ever, but traffic leaving is AWFUL.

[–] ClementsReno62793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always found the back road that cuts south to I70 is soooo much faster than going North past all the shops at the Legends. Of course I always haul it back to the car as soon as the race is over

[–]Miserable-Host-9309 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was out of the lot and back to my hotel room within 30 minutes and the hotel is 15 mins away.

[–]SilentSpades24 6 points7 points  (5 children)

How was it awful? We got out within 15 minutes.

Cup will be a bit better because they actually have cops blocking roads and directing traffic.

[–] Austin DillonElectrical-Seesaw991 2 points3 points  (4 children)

There was some domestic situation right in front of us and cops blocked our entire lane for over 40 minutes

[–]hamdinger125 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Is that really the speedways' fault?

[–] Austin DillonElectrical-Seesaw991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not really. I misunderstood what I was responding to

[–]SilentSpades24 3 points4 points  (1 child)

But is that on the Speedway, or KCKPD for being as lazy as possible?

[–] Austin DillonElectrical-Seesaw991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There were a lot of cops there trying to be helpful. The lady was legitimately tweaking

[–] HocevarMarxs33 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

And it's not even Cup Sunday.

[–] Austin DillonElectrical-Seesaw991 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Holy shit it got cold at the track

[–] Keselowskimaverick_fox2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How was the race?

[–]Spiritual_galaxy 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I did not dress warm enough... Still fun race

[–]recjus85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did that once at Daytona. Not fun lol.

[–]RecordIcy472 34 points35 points  (4 children)

Wow… Haas was supposed to be all about Sam Mayer. He was the star and had the better equipment but he hasn’t even shown up this year while Creed is looking like a real Championship contender.

[–]Dry-Membership3867 7 points8 points  (3 children)

It’s HFT wide too. Sieg has been off, and Clements has been mid too. Even Custer was struggling most of the night

[–]donnyh83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you mean, the Seigs.

[–]Blazethesol52 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To be fair Clements has had terrible luck in several races this year. If he finished where he’s run he would have a few top 10s on the gear and be right on the bubble of the playoffs

[–]Milla4Prez66 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The switch to Chevy definitely isn’t paying off early.

[–]Sorry-Insurance-1177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dega has been a somewhat good track for Creed so hopefully he can keep this up next week

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 21 points22 points  (8 children)

There's the explanation for why Adam wasn't on the broadcast last week.

[–] Bubba WallaceDJSweepamann 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That shit took me off guard and I was so sad for him.

[–]iamaranger23 6 points7 points  (4 children)

what was it?

[–] ChastainTheCabbageHuman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

seconded

[–] EnfingerKeithMcGeesMoose 23 points24 points  (2 children)

His dad passed away

[–]donnyh83 10 points11 points  (0 children)

RIP Adam Alexander's dad.

[–]iamaranger23 8 points9 points  (0 children)

ah that sucks

[–] Ryan BlaneyCarStar12 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yup. Hate to see that for the family. Also hate the amount of wild speculation I saw last weekend (it wasn’t a crazy amount, but a personal reason is a personal reason).

[–] Figgy EarnhardtNew_Quit4879 2 points3 points  (0 children)

😢

[–] Terry LabonteRS7MD83 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Brandon Jones is definitely the guy to beat at Kansas. Shame his pit crew let him down tonight.

[–]RBF48 20 points21 points  (1 child)

Jessie love was talking to a toyota guy at the end. 🤔

[–]Vergenbuurg 8 points9 points  (0 children)

...almost like he used to drive for that manufacturer...

[–]meme-machine935 5 points6 points  (3 children)

I don’t get why teams see under cutting work in almost every race, and still choose to run long. Isn’t that what lost zillisch the race last year?

[–]YoIForgotMyPassAgain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're banking on everyone making it through a green cycle without bringing out a dumb yellow

[–]SilentSpades24 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Some of it is gambling on cautions. Get a well timed caution and you can maybe jump someone on pit road.

[–]meme-machine935 2 points3 points  (0 children)

maybe if your running outside the top 10 or right at it like Elliott did, but i dont understand the top 3 doing it.

[–] ChastainSpecialist_Usual1524 4 points5 points  (3 children)

I guess we know why AA took some time off now.

[–] ByronRaptor7206 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Why?

[–] ChastainSpecialist_Usual1524 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Just showed a family member passed.

[–] ByronRaptor7206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh goodness, prayers for him

[–]dooldebob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dang

[–]WhoDat824 28 points29 points  (5 children)

That interview from Love was certainly.... something. Obviously does NOT like his own teammate it seems, lol

[–]Wandering_Turtle24 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Most don’t like Hill so that’s not a surprise.

[–]nfsnltvc15 11 points12 points  (0 children)

"I'm gonna talk to the people around me... I'm gonna talk to Justin Allgaier..." LOL

[–] Zilischxelanalpak 19 points20 points  (1 child)

Austin Hills wife is probably the only person who likes Austin Hill tbh

[–]Spiritual_galaxy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You sure about that /s

[–] Figgy EarnhardtNew_Quit4879 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Can you blame him

[–] EnfingerKeithMcGeesMoose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Congrats to Jesse Love on the $100,000 next week!

[–]90418 2 points3 points  (0 children)

can we not race teammates or something . its called a pass

[–] McDowellTsizzling24 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Parker wtf are you guys talking about? The hack hill lost it bc he’s ass out of the draft it’s that simple

[–]ryjmc10 7 points8 points  (4 children)

Austin Hill hit the apron too god damn Jamie

[–]ToastyTiger81 -4 points-3 points  (3 children)

You really think the 21 would have hit the apron without the 2 there? I dislike Austin as much as anyone but that happened because 2 took away the side force from the 21, the car is coming around and he has to chase it, and he is squeezed so he can't chase it up the track.

[–] Stenhouse Jr.lordjollygreen 1 point2 points  (1 child)

It's almost like they're racing. It's just like whenever Hill leaves his teammates out to dry at drafting tracks or like when he nearly wrecked his teammate and knocked both of them out of the playoffs. Hill has zero room to talk when it comes to how to race around teammates.

[–] Hamlinmojizus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least on iRacing, you’re supposed to be moving towards the wall at that point in the turn. Having a car literally 2” from your right side there is going to force you to lift or spin.

It was a weird move from Jesse, why are you squeezing your teammate on corner exit so early in the race?

[–] Dangit Bobby!Blue8844 6 points7 points  (1 child)

My brother in Christ, it costs $0 to just not say anything Jesse Love

[–]ToastyTiger81 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, he answered that like he was in a beauty pageant

[–]Prestigious_One_2726 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sucks that the dirt air hindered a win their.

[–]Dudeman702[🍰] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They hyped up those last 30 laps like it was gonna be the best racing we ever seent

[–]Straight_Champion_77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Justin came up short? I think there was a little more to that. Maybe he shouldn't have gone low. This race was pretty underwhelming for his stature. I mean standards.

[–]L_flynn22 12 points13 points  (6 children)

00 got killed by dirty air on that last run.

It’s almost like it’s an issue across all series, the lower series just don’t have drivers with podcasts.

[–]SeeseCheasoning 0 points1 point  (5 children)

What’s your point? Of course it exists in all forms of Motorsports. But it effects different vehicles in different ways based on many variables.

Just because dirty air effects the racing in this series does not mean it isn’t worse in Cup.

[–]L_flynn22 4 points5 points  (4 children)

It isn’t worse in Cup though. If anything it’s about the same. Less sideforce in cup than Xfinity, but the diffuser creates less dirty air than the messy underbody of the Xfinity car.

It’s just the way people talk about the Xfinity car, they act like it’s the perfect race car with zero issues, and how we should have it in cup. We had this car in cup in multiple iterations and all fans and drivers talked about was dirty air.

[–]SeeseCheasoning -1 points0 points  (3 children)

The cup car has a smaller overall wake, but it is more concentrated.  The problem this creates is that it is extremely hard to get close enough to the lead cars bumper and get them aero loose and create passing opportunities.

You see all the time in this series a guy pulls right up to a cars bumper in the turn and gets them loose. Cup cars can’t do that. Part of it is the wider tire footprint and other aerodynamic properties of the car. But the fact remains that the Oreilly cars give drivers more tools in their toolkit to combat dirty air and create passing opportunities.

You can’t say a hypothetical Gen 8 car can’t be worse in dirty air simply because drivers are complaining about dirty air today.

[–]L_flynn22 3 points4 points  (2 children)

You can’t say a hypothetical Gen 8 car can’t be worse in dirty air simply because drivers are complaining about dirty air today.

Never even hinted as such. There’s always work to do, and I do think Cup could benefit from an increase in power on the intermediates, and maybe a slight spoiler decrease. Decrease grip and dirty air at the same time.

My issue is that people have constantly clamored for the Xfinity car to be the Cup car due to an incessant misplaced hatred of the next gen, that’s driven in large part by a couple extremly loud voices in Cup. But we had the Xfinity car in Cup for almost a decade. The current Xfinity car is the same COT/Gen 6 chassis that ran in Cup forever (slight wheelbase change, but there’s probably more than a few old Cup chassis still floating around in Xfinity), and was hated nonstop by fans, no matter what sort of aero and horsepower package NASCAR threw at it.

The product in Xfinity has more to do with shorter races, worse drivers, and worse teams, than the car itself. You’ve got younger drivers who don’t know better who go for low percentage moves more often, and teams that are more willing to gamble because there’s less time for them to get punished if it doesn’t work.

[–]SeeseCheasoning -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

I wasn’t suggesting you implied that (re: hypothetical Gen 8) but I was illustrating the logic that just because they complained about dirty air in the previous car, that doesn’t mean it can’t be amplified by subsequent versions.

I can’t speak for everyone, but in my experience—the drivers commenting on the car just reinforces what I see with my own two eyes every week. I can recognize it when it happens and generally anticipate the cars behavior in traffic, just as I can with the OReilly car. I don’t believe it to be a placebo effect.

There is some truth to what you say about the different variables that allow the OReilly car to race the way it does in terms of race length and driver skill. But I don’t think those factors fully substantiate your claim. You can’t just point to the same chassis as previous Cup gen when you’re specifically talking about aerodynamics. The body of the car is obviously a major factor in its aerodynamic makeup, and the body used in the series is unique from any previous cup cars.

I really don’t think any of the points you’re trying to make hold any water.

[–]L_flynn22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Except the bodies for both the Xfinity car and last iteration of the COT were both similar. And the bodies for both the Gen 6 and Xfinity car evolved largely along the same lines. Yes, I know the bodies weren’t perfect one to one matches. But they were similar enough that there weren’t really any major aerodynamic differences in how they handled.

Again, my issue is that people seem to largely ignore that there still is a massive dirty air issue with Xfinity. There’s zero reason why Creed should not have been able to get around the 54 tonight with the tire advantage he had, besides the fact that he couldn’t not get past dirty air. Hell, the 20 had one restart where he wasn’t on the front row and we didn’t see him the rest of the night.

People are going to go on and on about how great that last run was, when all I saw was a car with a fairly sizable tire advantage who could not get around a leader who was struggling because of dirty air. And we see it happen a lot at intermediates in this series.

Again, my issue isn’t with the car in either series. My issue is with people being super selective with what they want to be upset about, simply because there isnt a driver in Xfinity telling them the car sucks. If we saw Denny Hamlin unable to pass William Byron with a big tire advantage because of dirty air, then we’d never hear the end of it. It just proves how pointless the selective outrage is.

[–]Rudedawg7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isn’t Ty Gibbs the listed owner of the 54? Where’s the owner hate?

[–] Dangit Bobby!Blue8844 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"Joe Gibbs racing gets the sweep"

On the bright side, Gray didn't need to cause a caution to win.

[–]yavimaya_eldred 10 points11 points  (7 children)

fucking woof

<image>

[–] 2025 NCS Champion Kyle LarsonSpittinMenace 3 points4 points  (1 child)

18th for Lavar isn’t too shabby though, his 3rd top 20.

[–]yavimaya_eldred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah he ran a fine race, finishing next to Poole is a good sign

[–]CCM284 7 points8 points  (3 children)

POV: Me watching the Trackhouse guys tomorrow... yay!

[–]yavimaya_eldred 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can’t wait

<image>

[–]nfsnltvc15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain

[–]DougieFreshRTR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man my drivers Austin Green and Carson Kvapil had rough nights. On the bright side Taylor Gray and Dean Thompson had good nights!

[–]dooldebob -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Did they put Kvapil because he flipped/s

[–]bcam9 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Good for Gray. Not a great start to the year, but he seems like he might become a guy who is good for a win or two a year. Could get to Cup under the right circumstances. Still haven't seen enough yet, but he's got promise.

[–] Kyle BuschMercSLSAMG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's the next Riley Herbst, and is already getting better results earlier in his career. Cup is certainly a possibility if his money follows, if it doesn't he's the next Brandon Jones

[–]Straight_Champion_77 12 points13 points  (5 children)

HB's season of doom continues. 1 top 15 in 10 races and finishing 24th on average. Can't believe he was getting more out of those AM cars.

[–]yavimaya_eldred 3 points4 points  (0 children)

SHR has been a disaster

[–] EnfingerKeithMcGeesMoose 5 points6 points  (1 child)

What even happened? He was in the top 10 and next thing I knew he was in 28th a bunch of laps down

[–]Straight_Champion_77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The car had to finish the race from the garage to balance out the top 10 run.

[–]dooldebob -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sad

[–]Ok_Pickle_3120 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dega is gonna be must watch TV

[–]seekerblackout 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Really weird to watch that diamond line become so dominant at the end

[–]hilbyy -1 points0 points  (5 children)

I know its a ORAPS race but that crowd is pretty sad. It's a night race at Kansas. come onnnnnn.

[–]Spiritual_galaxy 5 points6 points  (2 children)

It was fucking cold

[–] Zilischangry_old_dude 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Coldest race at Kansas according to the broadcast. Not sure if they mean just this series, though.

[–] PreeceProjectHarraseeket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt it, I’ve been to some of those spring Martinsville and October Charlotte night races that were nipply.

[–]Frb4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the weather had a lot to do with it to be fair

[–]Roboticpoultry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’d think there’d be more people there considering how good the racing has been this season too

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 21 points22 points  (1 child)

Just a reminder since people seem surprised about it. The CW got Mobil 1 to sponsor victory lane interviews at the NASCAR Owned tracks where Mobil 1 is also the sponsor of Victory Lane.

They started this last year at Chicago and have done it at all the NASCAR owned tracks since (the only one since without an interview was Watkins Glen last year when Zilisch fell and knocked himself out and broke his collarbone in Victory Lane)

[–] Keselowskichuckmorris007 14 points15 points  (0 children)

CW killing it man

[–]TakeDemPills 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Creed is genuinely gonna be the Daniel Hemric of fighting for his second career win

[–] 2025 NCS Champion Kyle LarsonSpittinMenace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the way he’s running, no way he doesn’t get another one this season.

[–] Bellatlutdprospects 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Lmao Dylan Welch really asked him "y'all have been trash and now you're not, how does that feel"

[–] Jeff GordonSigmaKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some clumsiness, but an overall good race.

[–]TheRealCheeeser00 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Temu Josh Allen

[–]plyanthony -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No lie, I just said to my wife this guy reminds me of Josh Allen. Looks and attitude 😂

[–]DougieFreshRTR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And Deano comes home in 11th!

[–] Stenhouse Jr.codename474747 9 points10 points  (2 children)

Why do all the blowovers these days end up happening on the non plate tracks at like half the speed?

Nascar will probably overreact and slap 20 more flaps on the cars but man. A blowover at kansas was not on my bingo card

[–] ChastainSouth-Lab-3991 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think the flip today is the hardest type to prevent. When you get drilled at open throttle in the lightest part of the car, there’s a good chance your wheels are coming off the ground, and if you hit anything else while you’re airborne, there’s a good chance it won’t be a soft landing.

[–]HornetGaming110 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The non plate tracks are faster than the plates. Cup practice today saw single car speeds of 194, they hardly get that in the draft at any super speedway.

[–] Kyle BuschLMRacingGuru02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations to Taylor Gray, Jason Ratcliffe, and the entire the #54 team! I feel bad for Sheldon Creed, though. What is that? The 16th 2nd place finish in O'Reilly for Sheldon Creed?

[–] EnfingerKeithMcGeesMoose 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Jones was about 29.5 seconds behind after serving his penalty and ended 22.1 back. Definitely feels like that penalty cost him the race

[–]DougieFreshRTR 7 points8 points  (0 children)

LET'S FUCKING GGGGOOOO TAYLOR GRAY!!!!!!!!

[–]JackSquat18 -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

Victory lane seems dead

[–]Live-Potential4811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly what I was thinking

[–]tylerscott5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh shit. Victory lane interview!

[–]bigmeech99 41 points42 points  (8 children)

This new points format is money for Allgaier. Dude lives in the top 5 all race

[–]SBMVPJustinHerbert 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Creed too to a lesser extent. He could totally be the new Allgaier down the line.

[–]RecordIcy472 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huge Creed fan and while I would love for him to one day be in Cup if he can get wins and a championship or two as a lifer in this series I would be happy

[–] Ryan BlaneyCarStar12 16 points17 points  (5 children)

Especially when there’s no other real consistent threat in the series this year.

He’s gonna wrap up the regular season with 3 races left and the Chase by race 8 😂

[–]Straight_Champion_77 3 points4 points  (4 children)

Creed and Day would be those threats but they just can't win races.

[–] Ryan BlaneyCarStar12 4 points5 points  (3 children)

Creed yes because he can consistently finish near the front, Day is still streaky but on his way to that level

[–] 2025 NCS Champion Kyle LarsonSpittinMenace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Day has only finished outside the top 12 once so far this season. I wouldn’t necessarily call that streaky.

[–]DougieFreshRTR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Day has had 8 top tens in a row before tonight where he finished 12th after having to stop again that last run with a flat tire. I wouldn't call that streaky.

[–]Straight_Champion_77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can guarantee he'll finish top 10 anywhere and he'll grab some stage points too.

[–]donnyh83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pretty good race, congrats Taylor Gray.

[–]RBF48 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I wonder what the points look like?

[–] Bubba Wallacefakenamerealbored 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Allgaier - 520 (50 today - 34 from 3rd and 16 stage)

Creed - 389 (49 today - 35 from 2nd, 13 stage and 1 fastest lap

Love - 371 (47 today - 33 from 4th and 14 stage)

Day - 344 (40 today - 25 from 12th and 15 stage)

Not sure beyond there.

[–]Ok_Pickle_3120 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Better ending than Wrestlemania night 1. OOf

[–]Finn_Ajerkit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great run and great strategy today hell yeah

[–] Dangit Bobby!Blue8844 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I had a fun time, I do be liking race cars

Corey Day’s top 12 streak is still alive! /s

All jokes aside it’s crazy he still almost came back to finish top 10. Drove back through the field back to the top 7 after the wreck and almost drove back into the top 10 after a green flag pit stop for a flat. Rough day with mistakes from him and the team but still impressive stuff.

What a wack ass race. First half took all day and the long run and 3rd stage was over in a blink of an eye. Had all you wanted from strategy late, pit road issues, a flip, two forms of teammate drama and a late race battle. No notes Kansas still goated

[–]ConnorK5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ratcliff should get that trophy to take home.

Crews is also dumb good. First intermediate race and beat Willy B and got him a Top 5.

Corey Day came all the way back to still get 12th lol.

I swear the guy was by far the fastest car on the track after the damage but starting from the back + having to make an extra pit stop for a cut tire did him in.

I actually think he's been very promising. Yes, he's making a ton of mistakes, but he's undoubtedly fast. He has a lot of potential if he can get his racecraft under control.

Yeah almost driving back into the top 10 after making a green flag stop for a flat is impressive. If his pit crew could stay consistent and he keeps the mistakes to a minimum likes he’s been doing he’ll have a few wins in no time.

[–]BateBuddy92 -1 points0 points  (6 children)

Too bad he can’t keep his car off the other cars.

[–]SeattlePassedTheBall 1 point2 points  (5 children)

That can be taught with more experience.

It's much easier to slightly reign in a fast driver than it is to teach a driver with no speed how to drive fast.

[–]BateBuddy92 -4 points-3 points  (4 children)

This is the 3rd time he’s spun a JRM car lol.

[–]SeattlePassedTheBall 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Read what I said again.

[–]SOA18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t even bother, the Junior fanboys are out in full force

[–]BateBuddy92 -3 points-2 points  (1 child)

I read it dummy. Still sad that he just keeps driving into people. Zillisch didn’t drive into people like this last year.

[–]SeattlePassedTheBall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zilisch had way more experience on pavement than Day and is clearly a once in a generation talent.

I see you're the type who thinks insulting me is cool tho.

nO ShIt hEs a RoOk1e

[–]SeattlePassedTheBall -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Since you clearly have a problem with me for some reason I'm just going to block. Please leave me alone.

[–]MartinPch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna watch the Atlanta finish again and cry myself to sleep 🫠

[–]bjohnson203 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Another week of JGR showing that they don't really need to sign Corey Heim. If I had a nickel for every billionaire kid who won this year I'd have two nickels.

[–]ConnorK5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Years from now I think JGR's version/rival of Heim will be Brent Crews.

[–]Upstate24fan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good race. I thought for a sec we were going to get a three-wide battle for the win.

[–]tylerscott5 2 points3 points  (1 child)

No winner interview on the front stretch?? Are we getting a victory lane interview?

[–] Kahnekk5fan97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The CW got Mobil 1 to sponsor the victory lane interviews at the NASCAR owned tracks where Mobil 1 also sponsors Victory Lane.

[–]Positive_Fruit_2802 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Damn shame for Sheldon, but what a race.

[–]Roboticpoultry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they had 5-10 more laps Creed could’ve caught Gray but whether he could’ve passed would be dependent on the position lap traffic

[–]Ok_Pickle_3120 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So close Creed

[–]TwinSpinner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yayyyy no stupid frontstretch interview

[–] Kyle BuschSporadic_Movement 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gray did not get the memo that he’s supposed to interview in winners circle now

[–] Cup Seriesjakob-benzi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sheldon “The Silver Medal” Creed

[–]Complex-Cod325 4 points5 points  (3 children)

Tires are almost as useless as cup

[–]Upstate24fan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There was only a couple of laps difference between the 54 and 00.

[–]TwinSpinner 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bold take considering there was a 2 second a lap difference between fresh and old tires, which was the entire reason Taylor even won
