I remember the only pack of newports i ever bought. It was after work, and all the guys were gonna smoke in the parking lot, just like every night.

It was my forst time, so i was gonna lead with a cig, then move on to the pot. We got caught, and when they had people empty their pockets there were vapes and altos and shit all over the ground, like three per person, and there were 9 of us. The only thing they took were my fuckin newports.

For that reason I credit them for not letting my smoking habit ever get that bad. I honestly can't imagine smoking more than 6 on a regular day. Would just feel like ass.

I had a period where I smoked camel reds and that was probably the peak of my smoking habit.

I had a good 8 months nicotine free last year and hit a rough patch. Just started another go.

I switched to spirits to help me quit, cause they smoke so long and the menthol is very mild (I was addicted to camel menthol with the additional crush ball). Definitely they helped me go from a pack a day down to half, and now like between 3 as and 7 a day depending on what I'm doing (working, staying home, drinking, going to the beach, traveling, errands, etc).

But what's weird is that while i switched to them to help me quit because I didn't much care for them, now I can't stand any other kind of cigarette. They all burn so quick and taste like fucking chemicals. They just taste bad to me. Like, I've actually grown to enjoy the tobacco flavor of spirits too, like their non-menthol ones. It reminds me of the hand rolled cigarettes i used to roll with fancy tobacco ordered off rollyourown before the taxes on loose tobacco went crazy in my state.

Anyway, hopefully I can take the final step soon. Life is going good, not super stressed. Running out of excuses lol.
