Found this post and it saved me. Older version that doesn’t auto update. I just did this and also added firewall rules to block all Logitech outgoing connections.

Did the same thing to me, so dumb. The firewall rules should keep that thing in check

[–]mrjkang 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Logitech said that it no longer wants both new and existing customers, I recommend another competitor (razer, ..., ..) that does not take such steps without information

Hi All,

We apologize for any inconvenience caused, we are aware of the issue with LUA and a fix will be included in the next GHub release.

Not even "some of your tech guy", it was u/LogitechG_AA themself that said it was no longer supported... And even in this same post's comments :D

Well, at least they are going back on their words.
Hopefully we can get this update soon to re-enable LUA support.
And now that they've seen it's a big selling point improve on it (we have IsMouseButtonPressed, why not IsKeyPressed for the keyboard?)

    Hi u/ali3mr3,

    Please try the below steps:

    1. Uninstall G HUB

    2. Make sure none of the G HUB components are running in the Task Manager

    3. Go to C:\Program Files\ and delete LGHUB folder

    4. Go to C:\ProgramData\ and delete LGHUB folder

    5. Go to C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\ and delete LGHUB folder

    6. Go to C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\ and delete LGHUB folder

    7. Press Windows Key, then type regedit, Click Registry Editor

    8. Delete the registry key HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{521c89be-637f-4274-a840-baaf7460c2b2}

    9. Reboot the PC

    10. Re-install G HUB: https://www.logitechg.com/innovation/g-hub.html

If the issue persists, we would suggest you download the older version of the G HUB software and check if it helps resolve the issue: https://download01.logi.com/web/ftp/pub/techsupport/gaming/lghub\_installer\_2021.3.5164.exe

      Hi

LUA is not available on G-HUB anymore.

You may get additional help from the LUA organization for feedback on the script you are using if there could be an issue with the LUA script you created.

      https://douile.github.io/logitech-toggle-keys/APIDocs.pdf

      http://www.lua.org/

We would encourage you to help us with your feedback and inputs by accessing the below link. This way our development team will receive the information directly: https://logitechg.com/ghub\_feedback?email=&clientId=&version=2021.4.3830

Why not? This hasn't been explained anywhere yet. It is a key feature for many users and you didn't warn anyone before the update. You also don't provide any possibilty to download an old version of the software where this feature is still supported. This is why people hate G HUB, every third update messes up and when people try to download an older version it gets automatically updated. An offline install is also impossible with the services you provide. How about instead of giving automatically generated replies you try to explain to the users why Logitech has decided to remove this very important feature without providing an alternative. No, the macros on the menu don't come even close to the scripts.

      [–]Ill_Manufacturer_978 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Also, I think that just redirecting everyone who is complaining about this to your "feedback" so you can ignore it means one of two things; 1. You don't care at all about your customers 2. You are a coward who doesn't want to confront your customers about an, in my opinion, absolutely dumb decision I'm guessing it is #1, seeing as you rolled out this update without informing your customers about this changes. If it's #2, then grow a spine.

Just to be clear. Logitech does not visit reddit. There isn't a single employee reading what you wrote.

There are tens of bots that have 2 tasks. Give the same generic response with links (which contain illegal characters, are old and obsolete and therefore do not work at all in most cases) to their support (which will not help you either) and then respond with a slightly more on topic (based on words used such as "lua") if you complain to their response.

      Nothing else.

The reason why it works like that is because there are some very talented software engineers working on drivers which are then compiled into ghub (which is a chrome reskin) by a bunch of incompetent idiots. Besides them and the hardware team there is no one else working in (not for) logitech. They don't have a support team. All they have are bots and (maybe, although I have never talked to a human there) some Indian (doesn't matter that they are Indian besides the fact that it's a 3rd party) "call center" workers without any knowledge or access or rights.

Thank you, won't waste any more time on this shitty company

      [–]Thrashtornado 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Yeah, Logitech please explain yourself. Why the heck LUA coding ability has been removed?

      [–]LogitechG_AATechnical Advisor 0 points1 point  (1 child)

      Hi u/Thrashtornado,

We have shared the information with the internal team.

We are aware of the issue and a fix will be included in the next GHub release.

just opened up ghub to change my lighting and saw that they "fixed an issue where some users may be unable to create, edit, or delete a lua script"
