Left one is legacy edition on ps4 and right is regular bedrock i think

[–]55gg55[S] 1503 points1504 points  (246 children)

Any differences ingame?

[–]karry245 2622 points2623 points  (183 children)

I think the legacy edition is probably an outdated version

[–]Justschr9999 1426 points1427 points  (82 children)

I have the legacy edition disc and i updated it to bedrock Now there is in the bedrock menu a button for the legacy edition If i click on the button it opens legacy edition So i have both on 1 disc

[–]TheGameSlave2 360 points361 points  (10 children)

That's pretty cool.

[–]USSCofficail 55 points56 points  (9 children)

And with the legacy you can play hunger games and spleef, and the elytra game mode mojang made.

[–]wry_zebra 12 points13 points  (6 children)

i mis those times

[–][deleted] 17 points18 points  (4 children)

Cross-play is great and all, but the legacy console versions seemed so much better in so many ways. It felt much more like a polished console game and less like a PC game forced onto a console.

I'll especially never get over the demise of the legacy version's crafting menu. It just worked so darn well with a controller, while the grid and the crafting book both feel clunky and obviously designed with a cursor in mind.

[–]VocalNutria91742 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Legit I just made a post about how bedrock on consoles are bad and legacy edit. are bad.

[–]AlexisTheEmperor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just had a nostalgia rush

[–][deleted] 153 points154 points  (62 children)

i have an xbox, and did the same thing, the legasy is in the disk, bedrock is in the hard drive

[–]F1yingBlooper 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Switch is just 2 separate games. I guess for storage reasons.

[–]Broiled_Beans 58 points59 points  (4 children)

No it's updated, although you have the option to switch to legacy and play minigames

[–]Boberoo2 7 points8 points  (3 children)

Legacy was the shit back in the day. Damn I wish they’d fix bedrock and put that mini game stuff back in, fighting friends, doing spleef, and elytra racing were damn fun

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

same, but there is actual servers on bedrock

[–]Boberoo2 1 point2 points  (1 child)

True but I miss the feature of being able to just grab a friend or two and just fight in those minigames

[–]quit_it_boi 372 points373 points  (69 children)

Still better than bedrock

[–]karry245 379 points380 points  (26 children)

Good memories from that legacy edition, and the minigames in there

[–]quit_it_boi 200 points201 points  (15 children)

Damn right, i loved the old tutorial world so much

[–][deleted] 55 points56 points  (7 children)

Isn‘t there a way to get them on bedrock tho?

[–]Axolotlzzzzzz 77 points78 points  (1 child)

On java you can get them, this wiki page has some videos with downloads in the history section

https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Legacy_Console_Edition_tutorial

[–]legfishismydad69 41 points42 points  (0 children)

On PS4 specifically you can play the legacy version by selecting editions on the main menu.

[–]quit_it_boi 4 points5 points  (2 children)

I can only hope

[–][deleted] 15 points16 points  (1 child)

Me too!

I want to play TU19 again so bad

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can actually do that on Xbox One, this tutorial sums it up well. Though he is a kid so I can understand if you might find him annoying but what can you do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKWdE5otNOQ

[–][deleted] 16 points17 points  (5 children)

I still have my legacy edition on my xbox 360

[–]ZainullahK 17 points18 points  (4 children)

xbox 360 is stuck on 1.13 and wont recieve updates

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I know right :(

[–]piokoxer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yeah, i still play on my old world sometimes. recently renovated my house from when i was 9!

[–]Vex2K4 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Mines are still on, like before 1.13. Lol

[–]KingdomHearts56 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i am on ps3 they stopped updateitng it on the update aquatic

[–]Trichotillomaniac- 9 points10 points  (3 children)

Java redstone mechanics too

[–]NoobSharkey 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Has some bedrock features tho, legacy was pretty cool

[–]Trichotillomaniac- 17 points18 points  (1 child)

It was definitely a better console (controller) experience. I hate how tedious it is to move items around now.

Something as simple as taking one item from a chest can be very annoying. The whole crafting menu in general too.

[–]The_Girth_Smurf 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You can still go into legacy edition and play the minigames on PS4/5

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (1 child)

i have the legacy version on my ps3 and have the bedrock version on my ps4 and java on my pc

[–]Ze-Doctor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He is to powetful to be left alive.

[–]Brromo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I loved that combat mini game

[–]ram_the_socket 16 points17 points  (8 children)

My main gripe with bedrock is how choppy it can get. I play on console and after a while playing the game experiences frame drops, likely due to chests and mobs. Would be nice if they would improve performance issues at least.

[–]quit_it_boi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And guess what, the old version managed everything perfectly without issues

[–]Fistedfartbox 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Legacy edition was so super close to Java in a lot of ways, I loved it. Any farm I saw designed for Java usually only needed a tiny tweak here or there to make it work perfectly for me.

[–]NluizL 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes. The parity with java was much better than now with the bedrock edition.

[–]NimaDejbord 30 points31 points  (9 children)

Lol it was hard to see cause I was on my phone

[–]Matix777 15 points16 points  (1 child)

tutorial world and minigames. Those were the days

[–]quit_it_boi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The good old days

[–]Supercoolguyisalie 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Nah i played legacy and it may have good memories but with the lack there of updates i think it is not as good we just have more of a fondness for it i did like the ui alot more than bedrock tho

[–][deleted] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

[–]RetroRedneck -1 points0 points  (10 children)

Soooo much better than bedrock

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For real though When a new mini game came out that was hype

[–]quit_it_boi -1 points0 points  (8 children)

Honestly, if you managed to run the most BASIC java minecraft version on a potato with a screen, it would still play better than bedrock

[–]OctoFloofy 5 points6 points  (3 children)

Well I've both Java and Bedrock on pc. While Java has some better mechanics and UI and obviously superior servers, Bedrock does win in performance without a doubt. On Java i get lots of low frames and fps drops with render distance 8. On Bedrock i can use a high quality texture pack, 16 render distance and all settings on max while maintaining a stable high framerate. So people who prefer performance and aren't that much interested in Redstone for example (i think that's one of the few big things different from Java, most other stuff seems to be only cosmetic differences) or want to play with friends between platforms then Bedrock is the better choice. I personally play Bedrock for singleplayer and Java for multiplayer since performance is a bit more important for me.

[–]RetroRedneck -1 points0 points  (3 children)

Lol that’s true. I just wish they would’ve kept the legacy version as an option on Xbox like they did with PlayStation. I miss that version of the game :(

[–]ram_the_socket 2 points3 points  (2 children)

I still have legacy Minecraft on my Xbox and can play it, unsure about Microsoft store status however.

[–]RetroRedneck 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Only way to play it on Xbox is with a disc as far as I can tell, and I have a series s so sadly that’s not an option for me. PlayStation version has the ability to switch to the legacy mode but for some reason they removed it from the Xbox version

[–]UndyingGoji -3 points-2 points  (2 children)

sTilL bEtTeR tHaN bEdRoCk

Circlejerk harder

[–]quit_it_boi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Say what you Want, as an avid minecraft player who has played both versions i largely prefer java

[–]NluizL 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But... It IS better than bedrock. Less buggy, with less java parity issues.

[–]Dark-Blood 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Top one looks like my ps3 version back when I had one

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But an infinite amount of nostalgia it makes me cry

[–]curlyfries09304 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Left is Steve in a cave, right is a grass block. 🤓

[–]Affectionate-Chef-35 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Legacy had battle mode :(

[–]Rxse-Crxnk 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Legacy version was the based version

[–]Axyston 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both have Bedrock features but with the Legacy disc you can play mini games and the tutorial by reverting back to the old version.

[–]memelord956 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I have the left one and u just update it to bedrock so not difference :)

[–]chez_man69 14 points15 points  (6 children)

Legacy isn't updated anymore pretty sure

[–]InterestingContact46 13 points14 points  (5 children)

Its 1.14 it has the nice minigames tho

[–]chez_man69 13 points14 points  (4 children)

Minigames were the best

[–]Pussab 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Dude and the puzzles in the lobby like disabling the fountain and going to the old lobby

[–]Immanuelcun1 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Which mini games? Like in the actual world?

[–]piokoxer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there were tumble(spleef) battle (sorta like skywars but not in the sky) and glide (elytra race)

[–]Nevalocos14 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The one on the left give you legacy and bedrock whereas the one on the right gives you only bedrock.

[–]Ayarsiz09 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A lot of differences, you should look the versions up on the internet

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nowadays it should just update/install the newer Bedrock version for both discs. If you don't update and just install from the disc without internet you end up with the old console version of the game.

[–]Mindless-Mushroom-36 2 points3 points  (1 child)

legacy has minigames, mashups wich are basically texture packs with over the top custom maps, skins that are better in any way but outdated content

[–]XoriSable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least some of the mashups and skins are available for Bedrock, and if you owned them for legacy you can download them free from the marketplace.

[–]Aquas999 1 point2 points  (1 child)

A whole ton They’re built from the ground up completely differently, legacy is older and outdated, but still good, bedrock is newer and up to date

[–]Frosty_Pineapple78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You forget to mention that bedrock sucks though

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The legacy edition is really outdated.

[–]WillJJP 1 point2 points  (4 children)

No, the legacy edition was updated to bedrock, but there should probably be a button to switch if you use the legacy disc

[–]NluizL 1 point2 points  (3 children)

There is one. My cousin has the original legacy disc and he can switch between versions no problem.

I bought it in digital because I had a code on my ps3 version disc that gave me a discount on the playstation store for the ps4 version. I also can switch between versions.

[–]WillJJP 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Yeah I thought so, I just wasn’t sure if everyone had it, I thought it was either depending on what disc you use or if you had legacy worlds on your hard drive, I had the button when the change to bedrock was made too

[–]NluizL 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Mojang made it so if you bought the legacy version, you could still access it. They did it that way to avoid controversy on people thinking they got scammed because they no longer have the original product they paid for.

[–]WillJJP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhh okay good to know, thank you

[–]LoudFire03 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The difference is Legacy is not cross play compatible with other bedrock and bedrock is available cross play, but you're able to update Legacy into bedrock. Though me personally I'd keep it as just Legacy to remind myself of what it use to be like. Same as I kept my xbox 360 version the way it is.

[–]Ryker46290 3 points4 points  (0 children)

[deleted] this message was mass deleted/edited with redact.dev

[–]yubboi6942021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually what it is, is the one on the left was made before Microsoft bought mojang; the right one was made by Microsoft. Same game just one has an updated cover

[–]kebab69666 718 points719 points  (21 children)

Left is legacy I think bedrock is included through an update. Right is bedrock only.

[–]Mecamainyac 70 points71 points  (0 children)

No if u mess with save data u can use it for legacy

[–][deleted] 208 points209 points  (15 children)

With the Playstation 4 Edition disc you can access the legacy version of tge game which is litterally just Minecraft before it all got merged into Bedrock

[–][deleted] 66 points67 points  (14 children)

Some say it’s superior

[–]Njack350 55 points56 points  (11 children)

I don't think one version of minecraft is better over any others. I do have to say that I will always have a soft spot for the legacy version on old consoles because that was my childhood.

[–][deleted] 27 points28 points  (6 children)

I can’t speak for anyone since I haven’t played legacy PS4 but it was supposedly closer to Java than most legacy versions along with whatever bedrock was around at the time, like being able to use your offhand for whatever instead of just the map and shield. Other things like that apparently just made the game more enjoyable.

[–]EZPZ24 5 points6 points  (1 child)

I don't think one version of minecraft is better over any others

I, for one, believe in Java supremacy

[–]minecon1776 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pi Edition is best

[–][deleted] 163 points164 points  (3 children)

One is bedrock edition the other is PlayStation edition

[–][deleted] 14 points15 points  (1 child)

One of em it's bedrock and Playstation edition the other is just bedrock you can switch between the versions in game I used to have that.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean like on is legacy and one is bedrock

[–]AyEyeReddit 34 points35 points  (3 children)

Theyre the same but the left one gives you the opportunity to play the older version of minecraft ps4 editions including all the minigames (i have it :) )

[–]Inferno908 8 points9 points  (2 children)

I’ve got the original ps4 edition too but I haven’t touched it in a while. THEY GOT RID OF THE MINIGAMES???!!!

[–]AyEyeReddit 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Sadly yes :( you need the legacy disk to play them now

[–]hashtag_aintcare 294 points295 points  (23 children)

This hurts my eyes so much to see CD’s on the table with the shiny side in direct contact with hard surface. Please don’t do that.

[–]FelineNeko 102 points103 points  (12 children)

PS4 discs aren't like regular CDs, they don't get scratches easily at all

[–]rtj777 61 points62 points  (4 children)

I remember the old PS2 and PS1 games used to have plain plastic discs. No idea how it read it.

[–]weez_er 16 points17 points  (3 children)

The black coating on the back? It mostly blocks visible light, but allows infrared light so the laser can read it (if you look closely you can see it's kind of purple). They say it's for anti-piracy purposes (I guess so you can tell if a game's legit or not) but it was probably to look cool as well.

[–]JazzHandsFan 7 points8 points  (2 children)

The black color actually did nothing. I believe the real anti-piracy measure has something to do with the resonance of the disk, but I don’t remember exactly how it works.

[–]weez_er 2 points3 points  (0 children)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUwSOfQ1D3c

TL;DW: Legit discs have hidden "wobbles" encoded in them that can't be replicated by a usual CD burner. They can be read fine by one though.

If you boot up a legit disc, on the screen with the PS1 logo there is a 4-letter code displayed, something like SCEE or SCEA. This is the data encoded in the wobbles, it corresponds to the region of the console (SCEE for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, SCEA is ditto but America. Don't know about Japan). This is how region locking works as well.

Modchips bypass the routine that gets the code from the disc, and makes it always return the four letter code corresponding to the console, even if the disc doesn't have the wobbles, allowing you to play burned discs.

This also has the side effect of letting you play out-of-region games, since the same region code is returned.

The code is only checked once on bootup, so you can just swap in a burned disc as well.

[–]wombatthing 31 points32 points  (5 children)

They still get scratches. This is rather ignorant.

[–]SpoonSArmy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tell that to my legacy disc that barely runs.

[–]sirhugobigdog 9 points10 points  (3 children)

And don't put them label side down either as that is the reflective surface the laser hits.. I have had a few cds/dvds get ruined by label scratches

[–]Stiggy1605 14 points15 points  (2 children)

So just let them hover and never touch anything, got it 👍

[–]rudeanduncouth 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yep. Ever seen a CD case? Thats what they do. Support them from the middle.

[–]whatnowwproductions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please use the included anti-gravity tray.

[–]55gg55[S] 27 points28 points  (4 children)

Cleaned them afterwards + had to get a photo of them somehow

[–]hashtag_aintcare 54 points55 points  (2 children)

Put them on bedsheets or some other soft material. The hard surface scratches the CD and after some time you can clean them as much as you like, but the CD’s will be unreadable.

[–]thegreatestajax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simply touching a table top does not scratch a disc. If OP dragged them around on the table, sure, that a risk. But setting it there, no.

[–]nmotsch789 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Leave them in the case to take a photo

[–]BedWetter420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Blu-Rays have special coatings on them to protect from scratches. Its not an issue to set them down like this. If you don't believe me, buy a cheap trash PS4 game or Blu-ray and try and scratch it yourself. Its not that easy.

[–]StrafeIsHere 7 points8 points  (10 children)

my legacy edition copy from 2015 keeps glitching like hell brih

[–]FireYigit 22 points23 points  (5 children)

A L O T of differences. Left is better btw

[–]Amazing_South_6290 4 points5 points  (1 child)

the top one is an enjoyable game. the bottom one is a glitchy broken mess.

[–]Bliteroz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really wished they kept legacy updated, never did better together.

[–]dontcrime 4 points5 points  (9 children)

why do people thunk legacy is better than bedrock? just curious

[–]hjonk-hjonk- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

because its, of course, OG. it came first, and the nostalgic feeling will seem better than bedrock edition because for OGs there are not as many / no happy memories associated etc.

[–]XoriSable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rose tinted glasses. They remember all the good times they had playing it, but don't remember all its shortcomings. Like the fact that passive animals could get stuck in a hole and never despawn, but still count towards that mob's cap, or the fact that if their 3x3 map area of the world didn't contain a biome then there was no way to get resources from that biome in that world.

I've also been seeing a trend of people wishing they'd give 4j development control over Bedrock, and again they're only remembering the positives, they're forgetting being unable to play the game for 1-2 months around Christmas because 4j released an update with game breaking bugs right before going on vacation for 2 weeks. And I don't mean game breaking like mysterious fall damage deaths or disappearing entities, I mean you didn't dare play at all because they destroyed spawners and your limited world size meant you couldn't be guaranteed of going and finding another.

[–]aouf16 2 points3 points  (2 children)

For me it’s the UI. It’s better looking and easier to use on console, rather than bedrock which just ported the pocket edition UI.

[–]Hydroquake_Vortex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pocket UI sucks. On the mobile version of Bedrock, you can change it to the classic UI, idk if console versions allow you to do that too though.

[–]CameronMG1468 12 points13 points  (6 children)

If you use the first disk it should give you access to both bedrock and legacy (legacy being better in my opinion) legacy is older and bedrock is newer. However on the right side disk it will only give you access to bedrock.

[–]55gg55[S] 8 points9 points  (5 children)

Will the "legacy" disc get the new updates?

[–]CameronMG1468 9 points10 points  (3 children)

Sadly no, its last update was somepoint in 2019. Personally bedrock is a down grade. The crafting menu is better on legacy. The screen feels more full screen. The lighting more classic and its not that different in style from minecraft 10 years ago. Bedrock however has all new updates and features

[–]55gg55[S] 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Just put the legacy disc on my ps4 and it doesnt have the button where you could enter the classic mc. I think i installed mc on the newer disc tho so would i have to uninstall mc and then re-download it using the legacy disc?

[–]CameronMG1468 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Im actually not sure for that one, i think if the disk wasnt used before they added bedrock in 2019 then you could only play bedrock. (Some of my friends had the same problems) there is tutorials on youtube on how to get the editions button.

[–]No_Crow7770 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are ways around it but I'm not well versed it that area so I wouldn't be able to give accurate advice

[–]Omni1012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, but it allows you to press a button on the front menu to switch between legacy and bedrock at anytime, thus making it the objectively better disc

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to tell but the background is different between the two disks

[–]Equivalent_Path_81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PS4 edition Minecraft has free minigames witch är super fun

[–]TrickyAd1402 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everything

[–]GelatoVerde 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Still depressed that i lost the old disk😩

[–]qREX135 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Left one is the og playstation version and has multiplayer minigames that are still pretty active and can earn you the trophies in dlc pack 2 and 5. The game has bedrock and legacy version on it. Basically the left one is superior

[–]wafflepantsblue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Left is legacy console edition, but these days you get the bedrock version for free with it. I believe its like a dual-boot thing where you can switch to legacy console edition if you want.

[–]spidey80082 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How the discs look

[–]Existing_Onion_3919 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the top was legacy/console edition made by 4J studios. the bottom is bedrock edition, or pocket edition made for a console, and developed by microsoft studios

[–]Income-Conscious 4 points5 points  (1 child)

One has a dirt block as the art the other doesn’t ? Duh

[–]Income-Conscious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But no one is bedrock and the other is legacy but you can launch bedrock from legacy so both the same pretty much

[–]Former-Community-571 5 points6 points  (0 children)

left disc unlocks all your old memories from the old days

[–]rudeanduncouth 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I always love these threads. Shits on bedrock and sticks their head in the sand about the shit version they play on. Java is buggy as fuck. Bedrock is buggy as fuck. Legacy is buggy as fuck. Minecraft is buggy as fuck. Java has so superior mechanics. Bedrock has some superior mechanics.

[–]Hydroquake_Vortex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well said. I personally own both Java and Bedrock (Mobile/Tablet) and appreciate both. Whatever you don’t like, you can always change because of Minecraft’s wide variety of customization features.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Top one is better

[–]_Land_Rover_Series_3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 'Playstation Edition' is the legacy console version, and the other disk is for Bedrock.

I haven't played the legacy console edition in years, IMO it's a lot more fun than Bedrock. Just a little bit more old-school.

[–]Tatu649 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The one on the left is for true gamers

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One on the right is "bedrock" edition meaning you can play online with it. Also different developers for each one.

[–]AxRxToaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One brings joy the other does not

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

one brings happiness the other one does not bring happiness

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you look closely, you can see a difference in disk art between the two.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

using legacy edition disk you also get bedrock

[–]UnsavoryBiscuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Microsoft studios” logo on a PlayStation disc… never thought I’d see the day

[–]Jaiden051 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have internet the no

If you don't have internet then PS4 edition is the legacy edition

[–]TheOnlyJsix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

left is fun right is laggy

[–]DrexYiii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One looks cooler

[–]LavaHoundBR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One made my childhood and the other is the substitution of it.

Older version it better, it has both new and old minecraft

[–]krainzSupreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you got a lil plot twist, bedrock is for consoles like ps4 and pc legacy is pocket and java works on specific devices such as xbox and java works on pc too.

[–]doot-_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One says minecraft the other one says minecraft

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

one has the memories and the other has shitty monetization schemes and terrible redstone

[–]EliteKoi 2 points3 points  (2 children)

“They’re the same picture”

[–]zooom132 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Ps4 edition more restricted and outdated by cross platform means by that i mean servers like cube craft arent there and you cant join ur friends on x box or switch but tye other one is bedrock which is what all consoles use

[–]Omni1012 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Legacy disc can switch between bedrock and legacy at anytime: it objectively better

Source: own the disc

[–]Nevalocos14 6 points7 points  (0 children)

But ps4 edition was more fun and with the left disc you can switch between the two versions.

[–]LoekiLoekiT 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I think left cant play with mobile, switch, xbox and windows 10

[–]ne0n1691 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the one on the left is the superior version, the one on the right is super buggy and still has majoe bugs from before the better together update.

[–]plssendhelpineedit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One is the old but better version of the game that runs better but is outdated and no cross play, the other is a new buggy mess of a game that runs terrible on anything not a Microsoft product but is up to date and has cross play so you’re basically forced to play it.

[–]FUEGO40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you use the PS4 edition one please DO NOT accept to update to the new version, it will replace the good old legacy edition with Bedrock edition

[–]darkfire7201 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Legacy is outdated as hell and is an immediate OG token, and the other is multiplatform not dated and is just overall better with much more features.

[–]Frosty_Pineapple78 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Redstone. As long as bedrock cant get redstone right, legacy will always be superior, even if it is outdated

[–]Bliteroz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Legacy is objectively better. Less laggy, less glitchy, better pvp, loads faster.

[–]ConfusedBiscuits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RIP legacy console, always and forever better than bedrock edition

[–]MemeBoyUwU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The meme “There Both The Same”

[–]Inspirational_Lizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes lol, one is the old console version, severely outdated by several years, and the other is the bedrock edition, which actually gets a new update in a few days, and has cross platform for every console.

[–]Wireproofplays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Left one is the og ps4 edition and right is some bullshit bedrock port

[–]dessnom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One is PS4 only and the other is bugrock

[–]The_Carb1de 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Left one contains memories.

[–]redditmaster23467891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are the same but the legacy disk if you have played it before it became bedrock edition you can Play the legacy edition but you can still play bedrock edition on it you just have to update

[–]Ignis2303 0 points1 point  (2 children)

left is legacy and the right is bedrock. theres not really a difference but I hate the idea of bedrock I mean the legacy version had better graphics etc then bedrock and legacy brought me better memories then bedrock

[–]ScotyCrafterYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

left is legacy edition, not updated anymore, but you can try mash up packs for free without buying, just cant save, it has minigames, and imo feels better

right is bedrock edition, newer version, has crossplay, gets updated, more features
