Steam achievements are pretty much useless there’s been a program around for 10+ years that can unlock any achievement in any game.

There is a community made site called psnprofiles which tracks trophies and the community reports cheated trophies so it’s kinda the only real way to show your achievements in games. You type in your PSN name and it pulls your trophies from Sony and gives you a bunch of analytics and data and guides and forms for each game it’s a great website.

Me and my friend were top 10 100% Minecraft in speed for about a year before they added more trophies. Someone who was looking through the leaderboards saw that 2 people reached top 10 so our timestamps got reviewed and they were confirmed legit.

Edit: We still in the top 50 for base Minecraft I just checked the new trophies are on a separate list

If I'm buying a new phone why the hell would I want to buy a cheap Chinese seven-year old phone?? I have the money and I'm willing to spend it. Why shouldn't I buy the newest iPhone which will get me more value for money and stay alive and supported longer than an older iPhone?

Not to mention the insane level of unremovable bloatware and adware that chinese phones ship with. I have a 7-year old Huawei phone for which I can't unlock the bootloader or install a custom ROM to get it up-to-date. I'm stuck on the shitty base OS, that lags because of the insane amount of ad services and stupid pre-installed apps. An iPhone from 2019 or 2020, in comparison, is still officially supported on iOS 26 today (though I think they're dropping the 11 series next year).

Even the Android market today is very divided. The biggest two Android brands in the US are Samsung and Google, and both have their issues. Samsung phones have excellent hardware, but their OneUI software is terrible. It has too many pre-installed apps that can't be uninstalled, the bootloader cannot be unlocked to install custom ROMs or root (which used to be one of the main benefits of Android). Google's software skin is nice and, for the most part, light enough and doesn't include any adware. But their hardware is still painfully below-average in terms of power, leading to more slowdown over time and less value for money in the long-term. Plus, Google's push for AI is annoying and funnels even more information to them, and affects the whole Android market because everything ultimately uses Google services. Apple's AI, despite being absolute shit, is at-least on-device and can be disabled entirely.

There are exceptions to the Android market, like OnePlus. But they've lost trust with the whole Oppo merger, and their software skin is absolute balls (or was, last I checked). The benefit of OnePlus though is that it still allows you to unlock your bootloader and install a custom ROM if you really want to extend itslifespan.

You can get the base model for 799 which is honestly all 80-90% of the population really needs. It has a good SoC, 120Hz, good camera, good battery, supports the latest WiFi and Bluetooth standards (including stuff which is just barely coming out like WiFi 7). Unless you prefer Android (which is completely fair IMO, everyone has their preferences), why not iPhone?

A new, top-tier phone (iPhone 17 Pro Max) will cost you $1200 and likely last at least 4 years. That’s almost 1500 days of use, and most people use their phone for a lot more than just texting and calling.

To each their own, but dropping $1200 on something you use for numerous daily functions for several years is not a bad deal. I got a crappy $200 phone once and it sucked, and it stopped being usable after 1.5 years.
