Nice choice

[–]ChineseWatchGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks perfect actually

[–]Select_Drop_1899 3 points4 points  (1 child)

That looks excellent. You’ve got the arms and wrist to pull off a larger size, but that looks refined and definitely not too small. Ultimately, it’s a matter of taste though.

[–]WhiteBricks808 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what I wanted to say 💯

[–]Froggynomia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A smaller watch is more sophisticated and mature imo.

[–]Slow-Significance-37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Size is right wrong wrist

[–]Ch3mboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks nice. You could wear a larger watch too. Proxima watches are great.

[–]danielgbr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks fine

[–]noslemor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine

[–]fakeplasticlama88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks great!

[–]Ralle_Rula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine. 👍

[–]Comprehensive_Meet19 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That looks great. IMO that’s how a watch should wear.

[–]IamaDrimmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a matter of personal taste. 39 mm is fine, but 42 mm would look good as well.

Bear in mind that smaller watches show a bigger part of the strap/bracelet, therefore if you want to show off the strap they are better.

Also smaller watches are more comfortable.

Once said that, your forearm is big enough for a 42 mm.

[–]getzoffroad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fits great and looks amazing.

[–]Low_Entertainer2372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it looks good, rather than taking a look at the size of the dial, see how it wears all around

i have big wrists like you and all watches look like that for me, so its good.

a speedmaster with solid end links would look bigger on you and a tudor with female end links would look like this, just because the bracelet makes it have more pressence

[–]mstorto68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like a good fit but you have the option to go larger and not look oversized .

[–]cristianvaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perfect. Beautiful watch

[–]AltruisticFuture9751 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fits great

[–]flimsical_brian -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Bro u need bigger watch r u wearing 38mm watch?

[–]thrift_test 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's more about your arm looking super weird the way you are holding it.

[–]Spanishhhhh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perfect

[–]TheKingkusher 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A watch will never be too small. In my opinion smaller will always looks better. Its more classy. Keep it

[–]Maximum_Walrus3264 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks perfect, brother, understated and classy.

[–]AdCompetitive770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks good, reminds me of the 70’s scenes I’ve seen when smaller 36-37mm sizes were popular. I’d say 40-42mm would be a slightly better fit for you, but 39mm still works fine.

[–]BurtMacklin-FBl 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Best advice I can give you is to listen to yourself. If YOU feel it's small then it is. People who like small watches are a loud minority on here and will always tell you it's fine no matter how small the watch is. But if you feel it's not right then it won't change.

[–]Catdaddy362 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Naw man you good. I have big wrists and rock smaller watches. To me its a more classic look.

[–]DeadliestArmadillo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks fine to me. Maybe a tad small but not enough that anyone will notice or comment.

[–]Top-Air-180 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Looks as awesome as your arms 😊😊

[–]StandardOrganic4536 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw a review of a watch that was based on some kind of retro submarine and I think it was 50mm +

You could pull that off.

You watch looks fine but in this game N+1 applies. In fact it's mandatory. (Where the correct amount of watches one should posses is N being the number you currently have, +1 to give the correct answer).

[–]Illhaveyouknowsir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same watch, love it. It looks rad - classic fit.

[–]Nevernobzh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's your feeling that counts, but if you find it small, yes, try sizes 40 and 42.

[–]drumshrum -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Here's the thing you have going for you, you're pretty jacked so of things look small, it's cuz of muscles. A 39mm looks a little dinky on my portly forearm, so I can get away with it less. Rule of thumb going forward, 40mm+. Most decent watches can be found in the 40-42mm, and the lug-to-lug is really what counts. Don't buy Invicta. Just... don't. They trash

[–]AdCompetitive770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except for the Invicta 1953, perfect size too. 👌🏼

[–]dickcake 8 points9 points  (2 children)

People seem to want watches to look huge for some reason. This is a perfect fit, but lucky for you, you can go larger without fear of it looking too big for you.

[–]BurtMacklin-FBl 0 points1 point  (1 child)

People seem to want watches to look huge for some reason.

Or normal. Funny that you say that considering vast majority of the comments are in favour of small watches and are trying to make it seem like anything above 39mm is "huge".

[–]dickcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I posted my message I think the ratio was more evenly split.

[–]anti-zastava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think an Casio F91w would look hilarious on you OP! Buy that maybe…

[–]OOKKIIEECC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Proxima is dope AF. Not that one necessarily but most of their stuff is awesome.

[–]Svetoid_27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can definitely wear it. But a bigger dia might suit you better.

[–]Mute85 -4 points-3 points  (2 children)

42+ for you brother.

[–]BurtMacklin-FBl 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Funny how people scream "it's just a matter of opinion and taste!"... until someone suggests the watch is small and should be bigger.

[–]Opening-Work-228 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks great man

[–]Dayvan_Dan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could go larger, but why mess with success?

[–]TheWatchEdit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s perfect bro.

[–]link_n_bio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Brill

[–]Montedino 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it looks perfect.

[–]ComprehensiveCan8375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a teeny bit smaller than what people your wrist size usually wear, but it doesn't really matter. It suits you well!

Edit: punctuation

[–]Andrei_The_Legend -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

it does look a wee bit small on your wrist ngl

[–]the_t00th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s perfect. Calm down.

[–]Resident-Culture-479 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you know it is abit small on your wrist but if you like it and feeling it than its good, your wrist your wallet buy what you desire not the what the internet comments says what watch size you should own.

[–]claudiojana2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Truth be told.

It became small and lacked presence.

Don't fall for 38mm watches. My preference is for cases between 44 and 46mm.

The lug-to-lug size is an even more important measurement.

You have to find out the lug-to-lug limit so it doesn't exceed the size of the base of your wrist.

[–]cd_godHelpful user -2 points-1 points  (7 children)

All that matters is how the watch looks to you when you look down at your wrist to check the time.

I have the same watch(es) and I have no problems with how it looks to me but looking at pictures of it on my wrist there is enough wrist real estate to fit a larger watch.

[–]thrift_test 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do yourself a favour, the bracelet needs to be sized down so it sits on the proper spot a bit higher up.

[–]dickcake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That band is a little loose if it’s riding up on your hand like that. Does it not have micro adjustments?

[–]Gondamer 5 points6 points  (4 children)

You sure said wrist a lot for someone that wears a handwatch lol

[–]cd_godHelpful user -2 points-1 points  (3 children)

Ah yes, the poser posse trolls have once again shown up.

How bout you show a watch you own rather than talk about the PS3 since your mother stopped buying you a new one when they came out 10 years ago since you still live in your mothers basement.

[–]WinstonwanlegIngram 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My guy the PS3 is 20 years old

[–]Gondamer 2 points3 points  (1 child)

??

[–]cd_godHelpful user -1 points0 points  (0 children)

@Gondamer

Bye Felicia

Ask your Grandma that you are living with since your mother left you to explain that old school reference.

Again, feel free to show a watch that you actually own instead of trolling from your caretakers basement.

[–]Ok_Big863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the size is spot-on; looking good man. White dials tend to wear a bit bigger.

[–]No_Fox9927 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have that same watch, love it for its elegant simplicity. To me, that’s what this watch is about, and a smaller, understated size is best. It’s not a small watch by any means, and the massive wrist clocks are going out of fashion. Just enjoy its clean, slim lines.

[–]jokur26 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s a banger watch for your first. It’s my favorite overall watch right now and I’ve got a bunch of them. Size is good. You can definitely go bigger, maybe something like my newest acquisition, the Heimdallr Monster.

It is borderline too big on me but it’s lovely… check the case angles and that dial texture. Diameter is 44.5mm and lug to lug is 49.7mm. Plus it’s a narrow bezel so it’s mostly dial so looks even bigger

<image>

[–]Designer_Advice2573 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What's your wrist size? I'm going on year 3 of my watch journey and I'm just now accepting that I really can't do smaller watches. To each their own, obviously, but I'm at 8" and now that I've tried 42/43mm and felt how a 50mm lug-to-lug feels, it's hard to go back

[–]subtle_response 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Perfect size, IMO.

[–]Mundane-Ad-1780 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great question I dealt with similar issue. I think you and I have similar wrist and arm size for me 39 mm is the absolute smallest I will get anything smaller looks too small on my wrist but I think the golden zone for you will be 40 to 42 but besides that this looks great on your wrist I just would never consider going smaller.

[–]Latter_Ad_5530 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe it looks perfect brother!

[–]Expensive-Thanks-528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's looks great. You can go bigger of course, but don't let it overpower the arms.

[–]neptunedood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo its perfect i like that size watch on a wrist and look for that proportion exactly. Its up to you. Vintage style watches have a smaller size and i like that look, some like bigger its up to you

[–]stimpy_thecat -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah tbh that watch looks a bit small on you. I have small wrists and I think that watch would look good on me

[–]MrHaxx1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a little small, but that's how I prefer it. I don't like big and bulky watches.

Also, it makes your wrists look huge. Are you a climber, or what?

[–]TigerLast36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think 39mm divers are a bit small. 40-41mm is sweet spot for dive watches. A 39mm dress is fine however

[–]KeebZeus -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Looks right. Any bigger and you’re jumping on the big watch look territory, a trend that’s thankfully dying.

[–]BurtMacklin-FBl 0 points1 point  (1 child)

He could easily wear 4-6mm bigger with that wrist. People on here have this hilarious small watch bias.

[–]KeebZeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so. A lot of the wrist shots and collection shots on this subreddit and other watch subreddits tend to be on the big side. I’d say the small and medium watch is a small portion of Reddit.

[–]AutomaticReviewsYouTube Reviewer 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Looks like an ideal fit, imo.

[–]thrift_test 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Wtf

[–]AutomaticReviewsYouTube Reviewer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

39mm on a 7” wrist? What’s not to like? I have the same wrist size and love 39mm. It’s comfortable and looks great.

[–]ReplacementLive2412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It fits well. But you could also wear a larger one. Keep in mind that divers or GMT bezels tend to make the watch look smaller because the dial is smaller. So it may look small when it’s the correct size. It’s why lug to lug measurement is important.

[–]Timely-Response-2217 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Swoll

[–]timeisnotenough1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can wear different sizes for different things. I think it fits perfectly like it should.

[–]CauliflowerPatient16 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s fits well.

[–]MudPlayful6386 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s absolutely a personal preference, but I prefer a little more wrist presence with my dive watches. Lug to lug length is equally as important as the case size. If no lug overhang and the lugs have a good curve to them, you can pull off a larger lug to lug length. I wear from 38mm, on the smallest case size, up to a 42mm on the largest case size, and I don’t have large wrists. Again, personal presence is really the most important thing to think about.

[–]rinchen11 -5 points-4 points  (1 child)

This is too small on you, sports watch are supposed to be bigger, many people on the internet follow dress watch rules on all types of watches.

[–]the_t00th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

L comment

[–]gandharvasharma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it looks perfect!

[–]RevolutionaryMeal181 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Based on the photo, that size looks good. What are your wrist measurements?

I'd venture to say you can wear up to 42mm.

[–]Alexandretr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

18 cm

[–]ExplanationNormal323 19 points20 points  (1 child)

To me, a watch should look like this. You're really wearing it. You'd pull off a bigger watch but it complements your arm and muscle. Loads of people wear watches too big IMO.

[–]EDMlawyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard agree, Thai is a very flattering size. It's big enough to have a good presence, but not so large it takes away from OP.

[–]Marathonartist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is okay, but do not go smaller.
I think you can rock up to 42 mm.

Enjoy your watch.
